Thanks, Fay! Yep, that's what I figured - this is my karma. When the dh kitchen guy got peeved because I'd come out on top despite his slander and attempts to make my life hell, and said I'd best watch out for my karma, I told him I was already experiencing my karma, and it's his own karma he should be worried about.
I look back at all the stress I was under for years, right up until the renovations were finished at the end of November. No wonder I was so glad not to be working any markets over the winter. I really needed the break.
Well, good luck with it, Fay! I look forward to hearing about your trials with it. I wouldn't even attempt to make cheese. But then, with so many local farms making it around here, there'd be no point, imo. lol.
Jim - even with a wide brimmed hat, I'm thinking that they'd still have a hard time seeing as the sun was directly in my eyes. I should find one of my hats to ride with so I can 'dip' the brim when the sun is in my eyes.
I'm celebrating it with a friend - I'm hoping at a local restaurant on the golf course overlooking the river. My favourite place!
Wow, you're certainly ambitious! Living in a farming community, we have on-site stores we can purchase directly from the farms - cheese being one of them. On Saturday, they had their cycle farm tour which entails cycling the community and stopping by the farms for samples of their products. It's a great way to find out about the community, and to try some new things.
I should have phoned you, as I suffered from busy brain last night as well. The difference is, I have to work today, and I'm not looking forward to my drive home - an hour and a half. Ugh!
My tomatoes and zucchini are doing very well, I'm just waiting for them to ripen. As for yogurt - it's super easy to make. I have a yogurt maker and the stuff you make yourself is, Imo, much better tasting than the store bought variety.
Haha Fay - I was never into gaming (well, maybe pacman many moons ago), but don't ever recall my thumbs being sore. Probably because my 'into' it wasn't really all that much compared to others.
It's not sore today - so I figure it's just like any new exercise, you have to build up to it.
Jim - I never considered it. The new shifter is actually much easier to change than the old one, it's just a different movement. I figure that my thumb will eventually get used to the new motion.
Jim - I used to deal with the TD - I don't anymore and won't - and their fees are even higher than my current bank. My own bank owns a bank in Chicago and has Canadian US dollar business accounts, which I opened yesterday.
Bear - that's too bad that catching up with a classmate wasn't a happy occasion, I know I've been to reunions where I'd see classmates and I wasn't impressed, but I'm sure everyone has had those!
Fay - yeah, we've talked about it before, but with me moving so much, it just never happened. Now that I'm not moving or renovating, we can actually plan it!
Btw - that's pretty neat about finding a friend after 40 years. There are some great benefits to social media. A school chum found me after about the same time and it's great to see how his life has turned out.
Tup - my daughter's Godmother is a leftie, and her handwriting has a unique slant as well. I haven't seen my sister's handwriting in ages, so I'm not sure if she writes left or right nowadays. She does most things left-handed though. Her writing style was traditional, and like you, is ambidextrous. I am to a certain extent, but not as much as she is. That's a good thing, imo.
Tup - that's so very true about unenlightened times. My older sister's hand was smacked with a ruler every time she used her left hand to write. My Mom, not wanting me to go through the same thing, forced me to use my right hand. I do most things right handed, but according to my doctors, left is actually my natural tendency.
That's probably why, when I broke my right wrist, that writing left handed wasn't actually that hard (way back then - don't know about now).
I took calligraphy and love all forms of handwriting. Sometimes, if I'm in a hurry, my handwriting will be kind of scribbly, but I think it's still legible.
That's great that she's okay - what a scare! It's awful knowing that your time is limited with a pet, which makes it all the more important to really enjoy them while they're with us.
There doesn't appear to be too many people that value the art of penmanship anymore. I love handwriting - and still write in a journal just to keep up my handwriting skills. It's also a wonderful view into the writer's personality, which typewritten words don't convey to the same extent.
As far as Big Brother's watching - yep. But, what are you going to do about it?
The First of the Season
Kal - I've never seen or had corn like that, possibly not available where I live.
