manuman7: I am not betting on it lasting 9 months. I am a pretty big gamer, and during the weekends, I like to just bury myself with video games. So I am bound to drink a few then :)
Loh: I know, big brain on me
Math was never my strong suit in school, so I am using a calculator to calculate big numbers and stuff.
pat8lanips: Hello, there! The TV I bought was a Philips 4K TV with HDR10 and HDCP 2.2. I am pairing that with an 800W sound system for a MASSIVE experience.
I bought the TV for the equivalent of 649 bucks, and I paid 361 buck for the sound system. It's my roommates old system that I have bought, so I got it way cheaper than if I was to buy it new. It still works, so I am happy with it :)
VivianLee2: I was never in contact with an infected person. My roommate had a coworker who showed symptoms of the disease, but there were no definitive proof, that he had it. I have not shown any symptoms whatsoever, so I am pretty sure that I have dodged it :)
Loh: I have actually not begun drinking those 96 cans I bought. That just means more for the year to come!
MarkOpolloa: China had a lockdown. If people broke that lockdown, then they were manhandled into jail or labor camps. Here, because it' "only" a quarantine and not a complete lockdown, the government has said, that it's alright to go outside, if you practice social distancing. You can go for a drive in your car, as long as you stay in the car. It's alright to go outside, just be weary about your surroundings
TTKSpectre - That drug is NOT approved for testing against COVID-19. They are looking into using it for experimental treatment against the virus, but it is not a vaccine for the virus
I wouldn't call it a debrief, but the media do talk to the infected people who come out of quarantine. They had a lengthy interview with "patient 0", where he explained that he was finally free and that he could go home to his family. He was elated that his 2 week mandatory quarantine was over. Before he was allowed to join his family, they interviewed him, where they asked him some questions. One of them was how his experience had been. From his point of view, it was extremely smooth. Nothing nefarious had happened, and he was just bored a lot. So far, no remedies have been suggested, mainly because there aren't any yet. I read earlier that the US are starting experimental treatments of the virus, so hopefully we will see some progress there.
The hysteria here was also very real last week. People hoarded, because our PM told us, that the country would shut down. It was a waste of energy to hoard, because the shops are open anyway.
Palmfrond: Oh, that pun :D. Well played. I feel fine. I don't have any symptoms of corona virus, but it will take a few days to manifest anyway. So far, nothing. So I am quite confident that I have eluded the virus, and I will not be joining the dead in a zombie apocalypse - yet
Loh: Those 96 cans are going to last longer than 2 weeks. I like having a few crates in my house, for when I am gaming, watching a movie or entertaining guests :). I am not gonna drink them all in 2 weeks.
Nice2meetyoutoo: Yep, 96 cans. I don't want to run out during this quarantine period. In Denmark, we have a system called MobilePay, which is an app where you can transfer money to people, kind of like Venmo in the US. I used that app to transfer the money to him :)
Loh: The batteries are in the correct way, I checked multiple times. And regarding the no hugs for K.. Her and I talked about it, and in her words: "It's only a recommendation", meaning the next time I see her, hugs will happen. We are both healthy with no sign of the virus, so I don't see why a hug would be devastating :)
They changed it from WWF to WWE because of the World Wildlife Fund. Rather than facing legal battles, they just changed the name, since it would be easier and cheaper.
K is doing well. We are gonna meet up on Thursday for a cinema trip.
Loh: I just couldn't fall asleep. I have no couch where I live, because I am renting a room. I have space for a double bed, a tv stand and my dresser. There is a sofa here, but it's downstairs. In no way would I ever let her sleep there, since there is plenty of space in my bed :). Also, why is it weird to have someone at my age in my bed without any funsies? If anything were to happen, it would be if we both agreed to it.
Palmfrond: The only action I am getting in the bed is sleep. Or if I am watching an action movie, then there's action there!
HarbalEsquire - That's not really the point about this trip. The point is to see New York, hang out with my friend and possibly gain new friends. At no point on the trip am I actively going to seek someone to bed, since it's not something I am looking for.
HarbalEsquire - Like Northern says, I am Danish, and we Danes are naturally polite. I do know that my comment can be seen as a defeatist one, but it really isn't :).
I am happy with a couch or a blow-up mattress. As long as I am comfortable, then I am all good :)
Harbal - I have been speaking English since I was seven years old, so for about 28 years, give or take. My English was already perfect prior to my Scottish adventure, but I said it to underline the fact, that my English was indeed fantastic :)
Jim - The 1/2 made appointment means, that we talked about spending time together, but it's not 100% agreed if it's gonna be today pr tomorrow. Also, the whole club-thing is the worst idea ever. I don't go yo clubs, anyway. It would be pointless for me to go there
Nice2meetyoutoo - It's a period drama, not an action movie. What I love about the film, is that it's extremely story driven. Like I said in my review, it's a slow burn, so some might find it very boring
JimNastics - We didn't spend the night together. She had an appointment the following day, so she slept at her own place. We have talked about her visiting me here, but we haven't talked about her spending any nights here
JimNastics - I paid for the tickets, but she wanted to pay hers, so she transfered the amount to me. However, all the snacks and drinks were on me. It works well that way :)
marranjo - Correct, I am not doing anything. K and I have only just recently begun spending time together again, and I will not rush anything. Things happen when they happen, if they ever happen :). I have told her, that she is welcome to stay at my place, when she wants to. Maybe then, something might happen. Or maybe nothing will happen. We'll see :).
Bluesky60 - We have been a bit semi-romantic before. We have locked lips a few times, but it's a loong time ago. I am not sure if she feels anything towards me but friendship, but we'll see what happens in the future :)
Like I stated in the blog - it wasn't a date as such. It was a cinema trip between two old friends. We hung out, went shopping, had something to eat and then went our separate ways. One hug is all that happened, which was fine by me.
Are we going to hang out again? Definitely. We are both looking forward to hang out again. I asked her if she wanted to come back to my place next time, which she said yes to.
Loh_key - That would require me to get to second base with her, which I doubt will ever happen. I'm fine with that, though :). She's seeing someone, and I'm happy for her
Payday means new stuff. Right?
