Quarantine Day 5! + Mountain Dew

I know, I know.. It's yet another one of those pesky quarantine blogs! But I wouldn't be writing these, if SOMEONE in China hadn't gone and gotten himself sick with a virus, that people actually believe was made in a lab, by a bunch of nefarious researchers. All the science points to bats being the major cause for this outbreak.

Anyway!

I had my first ever sip of Mountain Dew Citrus Blast yesterday. The bottle is a luminous green, almost like an acid green color. I wrote a friend and explained, that it was my first ever time drinking that particular soda, and I wanted to hear what I could expect. She said "an abundance of sugar!". I was thinking "It's not gonna be too bad, is it? I mean, I drink a LOT of coke and energy drinks, so a bit of extra sugar isn't gonna be THAT hard on me.. Is it!?"

So, I pulled our my phone, pressed "record video", found a glass, poured in a tiny amount and drank it. Meanwhile, I was relaying real-time info about how it tasted. The taste was.. Weak.. Kind of like watered down lemon drink. So I was thinking to myself, that this was a huge letdown, and that I didn't feel any sugar rush at all.

5 minutes later... Well, that's a different story. Have you ever felt like you are SUPER hyper active? That it feels like someone injected PURE energy into your veins? Well, that's what it felt like. I'll tell you something, really quick: I had the biggest rush EVER! Wow.. I mean, talk about a shocker! My head was spinning, legs were twitching.. And this was just from a VERY tiny amount. At that point, I felt like I could jump out of my window and land on the ground below, and not get injured. I live on the third floor, just for reference.

I have never ever in my life felt anything like that. How much sugar does Mountain Dew contain? Are there drugs in th... Hang on a minute.. It's the caffeine...! I just did a Google Search, and I found out that a standard 12 oz can of coke has 34mg of caffeine. A can of Mountain Dew has.. 55.. FIFTY FIVE mg of caffeine.. No WONDER I felt like I could run a marathon on one leg, blindfolded while singing "Sweet Caroline (dun, dun duunnnn).."

In other news: My chair is on the way! I just loaded in the track-and-trace number, and it says, that I am getting my package later today! Now I just need to look for a white GLS van. However, I did say that he should leave the package outside my front door, because of this whole corona quarantine thingy.. Once I get the package, I am dragging it upstairs, putting on some music, grabbing my tool kit and then I will assemble my new pride and joy! Oh it's gonna be SO amazing!

Something good has happened as well.. My friend is getting married. Her boyfriend FINALLY popped the question, so it looks like I am going to invest in a suit.. Or just be extremely well dressed, because as ZZ Top once sang: "They come runnin' just as fast as they can 'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man"

Yes, I am gonna include a lyric that matches the blog from now on. At least until my quarantine is over - which it is in 9 days. Well, I have my last quarantine day in 9 days.. God I look forward to that so much!

anyway possible you could do sum actual investigation ?

For example: Is your local media de-briefing survivors ? Are you being told anything approaching logic in terms of remedy, recovery time [ 72 hours ? ]
Did ya know that one outlet de-briefed a Cruise ship survivor [ age 55ish
and he said..." I had the flu for about 3 days"... then of course they cut away faster than a June bug on 31 May. We have a whopping 2 cases of COVID 19 in the entire Valley where eYe live...
and the hysteria is almost unbelievable....
I wouldn't call it a debrief, but the media do talk to the infected people who come out of quarantine. They had a lengthy interview with "patient 0", where he explained that he was finally free and that he could go home to his family. He was elated that his 2 week mandatory quarantine was over. Before he was allowed to join his family, they interviewed him, where they asked him some questions. One of them was how his experience had been. From his point of view, it was extremely smooth. Nothing nefarious had happened, and he was just bored a lot. So far, no remedies have been suggested, mainly because there aren't any yet. I read earlier that the US are starting experimental treatments of the virus, so hopefully we will see some progress there.

The hysteria here was also very real last week. People hoarded, because our PM told us, that the country would shut down. It was a waste of energy to hoard, because the shops are open anyway.
Ok...thanks.
