RE: Fox News Banned From Canada

If the media can't lie what will they talk about? Football results?

RE: Understanding the True Nature of Politics, PART 2

I've just finished watching the documentary and it was to be expected. It takes some obvious truths and tailors them to the oversimplified boogeyman theories of a moribund political position. His political position, that which is supposedly the most invidualistic of them all, searching to blame the external over the internal, which is in itself ironic.

Needless to say, i'm not surpised to see this overwillingness to blame another leading to anti-semitic dogma amongst its less able adherents.

RE: Women, kids and....

Do not agree. Wouldn't a Mum want a Dad to be the best Dad he could be? Aside from any personal problem she may now have with him, she should still put the interests of her children before her own.

RE: invasion of propagandists

Too rightthumbs up

I'm as guilty for doing it as anybody.. we must get off on the squabbling.

RE: oil

There would still be oil for use even if an oil giant like Saudi Arabia stopped exporting, but the cost of oil would then be astronomical.

I'm an electrical enginner and I commission oil rigs for service. In my professional opinion oil would run out in around thirty years if we lost the oil in the ME. Oil, globally, would probably last around fifty years if current trends of discovery and usage were to continue.

Also, in recent years, certain oil companies have been creating fictitious accounts of oil reserves to lower fears and increase share prices in their respective companies. However, much of the industry and the majority of experts now conceed that the falling availability of oil, or peak-oil as its known, will create mass problems within a few decades.

RE: Understanding The True Nature Of Politics And Its Finality

The world is filled with different people(s)vying for different interests. What about all the other rich and powerful people who are not Jewish, surely they would work against, or at the least expose this Jewish monopoly over the world, if such a thing were to exist?

Do you know that being greedy and power-hungry is not attached to one race?

RE: Understanding The True Nature Of Politics And Its Finality

Awww that is ashame, they'll never let you in to the club now.

moping

RE: Understanding The True Nature Of Politics And Its Finality

Just as well i'd say.

RE: Understanding The True Nature Of Politics And Its Finality

Yes, that's right. Just make sure you don't tell anybody it's a big secret.

RE: Understanding The True Nature Of Politics And Its Finality

I'm sorry, but anybody who believes you can explain this world with such a simple and obvious theory(blame the Jews), is clearly of a simple and obvious mind.

RE: Would u like to live in a world in which everybody had more or less

I don't believe there could ever be a heaven on Earth if that basically is what you are saying?

Besides i'm young and my perceptions are nurtured by the present and not the past. I recognise my country is falling in this world and that much of the rest of the world is improving, the Far east, eastern Europe possibly the Arab world too.

What bothers me more than anything is how my country has fallen so far and so fast. How has my parents generation failed so comprehensively? Why would they commit such an atrocity against their own land? What must therefore be wrong with their psyche?

RE: Would u like to live in a world in which everybody had more or less

I like a few things UKIP say but my background is too working class to join them and they are too Conservative/Libertarian for my taste. Whereas I believe there are aspects of Socialism, that if they were to be applied rationally, could make the country both more productive and efficient. The BNP would be better suited to my politic, but I don't trust them, especially with Nick Griffin in charge.

RE: Would u like to live in a world in which everybody had more or less

Would that be an insult or a compliment laugh

RE: Would u like to live in a world in which everybody had more or less

Too old - should of worked for it already - those who never(or hardly ever)worked but could of done shouldn't receive a state pension in my opinion

Too young - will work for it in the future.

Disabled & sick - their welfare is the duty of their fellow countrymen.

RE: Would u like to live in a world in which everybody had more or less

I'd like to live in a world where everybody got what they worked for.

RE: English Antheme

Thanks for the link Bodleing. I like it even on this laptop and even with these speakers. Classic!

RE: English Antheme

thumbs up thumbs up

RE: English Antheme

I'm glad you like, I think it's wonderful.

RE: English Antheme

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?

And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!

I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

- Jerusalem by William Blake, 1804

I'd have this hymn any day of the week over God save the Queen.

RE: English Antheme

Well, myself and other Englishmen believe we should replace God save the Queen with the song Jerusalem. I don't like God save the Queen very much.

RE: Understanding The True Nature Of Politics And Its Finality

My feelings exactly. I was being dry, as always.

RE: Understanding The True Nature Of Politics And Its Finality

It requires greater attention and brain power to study a book or text and I don't think people can be arsed to understand the world around them, so youtube and wikipedia will do just fine.

RE: Understanding The True Nature Of Politics And Its Finality

A dialect differs from the debate, dialect is based upon the free exchange of views to find truth - it's a process that opposes the idea that one side of a discussion is entirely correct and the other side entirely incorrect, amongst other things.

Historical dialectics would be;

Socrates
Albert Einstein
Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel

Arguably some of the best minds the Human race has ever produced, certainly none of which i'd consider ignorant.

An attack on dialectics stinks of political agenda.

RE: Irish "bailout" and voters

What about Iceland? Its GDP is still falling heavily as far as I remember?

And the Greeks well, what is happening in Greece? Its biggest industry(tourism)has been smashed and the Drachma would be worth nothing without the economy to launch it from. Ideally for them they'd create a new and viable economy in these harsh times, then launch the Drachma and become independent from that - but that scenario is the everest of optimism if you want my opinion. More likely that, however much a Greek departure from the Euro would hit Germany, it would hit the Greeks harder, the German's can take this hit but the Greek's can't.

It's a fair point to see that in Europe, Germany is holding a monopoly of interests, that smaller nations are subordinate and kept by Germany - what i'm saying is that there are concrete facts and reasons why one nation becomes kept by another.

RE: Understanding The True Nature Of Politics And Its Finality

I couldn't get passed the first few minutes after his attack on the dialectic;

In the Soviet Union the dialecticism of the Marxists/Trotskyites was the first thing the Stalinist's attacked - after all asking questions, viewing both sides and the shades of grey between would be a promotion of reason, and reason is harmful to power and control.

The reason in dialecticism is crucial to freedom as emotion is far easier to control than thought.

RE: Irish "bailout" and voters

Firstly, you need to question why their corporation tax(12.5%)is lower than their neighbours. It is in itself a sign that it struggles to compete against the rest of Europe and the reason it struggles to compete has to be internal to Ireland.

The Irish economy has been built upon the financial bubble in a way unequaled - nothing illustrates this more than the size of their property market and so the size of their financial sector.

Germany is the EU, and i'm not surprised to see Germany attempting to conquer Europe once again. However, the Irish are in a defeated position. The levels of suffering that would come to Ireland if it disobeys the EU would be horrendous and it's all very well for some Irish businessman to talk of having the balls when it's not him who'll be suffering.

RE: just in a mood to have some simple talks about the Lord almighty.

I'd say this is what having kids does.

Your lineage connects you to what was and what is to come. I think all genuine interest and concern for the past and future comes from this.

RE: Irish "bailout" and voters

It means they don't create things of high value - that is to say, they have little or no manufacturing base.

RE: Irish "bailout" and voters

Ireland produces next to nothing, it's nothing to with its scale and size. The Irish have played in the banks favour more than any other nation of Europe, their economy is infested with speculation precisely because they've managed to be even less productive than the rest of us.

My personal feeling is anti-EU and i'm for national autarky(self-sufficiency), but i'm just telling like it is.

RE: Irish "bailout" and voters

Just like a third-world economy.
