RE: love or money?

Love.

Money is too common, money is too easy. Money can only ensure you continue to exist.

RE: Would you date a local man who e-mails but never calls?

The problem isn't so much having to talk to my girlfriend everyday - I take that as a given - it's saying something like that at that stage of the relationship(before there even is one) - that's just not cricket.

MissingLondon needs to encourage men to want to speak to her everyday, not tell them to do so. I dunno, in my mind ML conjurs images of middle-aged Men sat in pubs moaning into their lagers about how many dreams they once had.

RE: Would you date a local man who e-mails but never calls?

You honestly said that?.. I mean you're correct and eveything, the guy is obviously not on the level.. but is that what you really say to a possible love interest?

- Food for thought.

RE: Music you like thread. all kinds...;-}

Diana Ross ~ Where Did Our Love Go.

The Verve ~ The Drugs Don't Work.

RE: Music you like thread. all kinds...;-}

The Rolling Stones ~ Jumpin' Jack Flash

RE: greed and the desire....

Not so much greed, more the lack of ability, common sense and effort to earn and facilitate desires. This has resulted in the elder generations destroying their own children's future - through debt and economic suicide - in order to maintain their own decadent and inferior lifestyles.

RE: Obama Sais --------TAX The RICH !!

The Western Middle class is inferior to the competition across the globe. We have little to offer and thus little to bargain with. Business would simply leave if you hit them with tax.

RE: Would you go out with someone if they were overweight or obese but confident?

Obese is a complete non-starter.

As for overweight, she'd have to score well in all the other areas, very well.

RE: Music for your mood

Kasabian - Shoot the runner.

RE: Music for your mood

Flight of the Conchords ~ The most beautiful girl in the room.

RE: What is love?

I'd go with that one too... but it's definitely the same buzz you get from drugs, only with a worse comedown.

RE: What is love?

It's a lot like snorting cocaine, more than a lot.

Love is like drugs.

RE: AMERICA'S FASCISTS LIKE THE TEA PARTY AND SYMPATIZERS DESTROYING AMERICA'S FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM? S

Free enterprise is why there's little investment in America. Why would Mr Financier invest in the West when a far greater rate of profit/usury can be drawn from sweating the East?

If the Tea Party were Fascist, in the proper sense of the word, you'd be making your own cars and speaking no other language but English - quite removed from what is actually happening.

You were Fordists after the war and throughout the boom, and so therefore protectionist. It is the internationalist side of free enterprise that has smashed Western production through outsourcing, and has created obscene profits for all the wrong people in society - notably the inferiors whom place buying and selling as senior to productive and technical capability.

RE: ITALY IS ASKING CHINA TO BUY A LARGE AMOUNT OF THEIR NATIONAL BONDS. I REALLY HOPE SHE WON'T BE SILL

Think of it is a consolation for all the industry, genius, technology and science the West has given away to the East.

But you're right, China is balancing and developing itself in internally, and on completion she will drop us like a stone.

RE: ITALY IS ASKING CHINA TO BUY A LARGE AMOUNT OF THEIR NATIONAL BONDS. I REALLY HOPE SHE WON'T BE SILL

To keep the port of consumption for Chinese exports intact, and to ensure that European politics is bent in favour of Chinese interests.

RE: When Do Attempts At Persuasion Become Controlling and Manipulative?

If I'm honest, I think I'd get real bored, real quick if she was that easygoing. But that's just me and the "battle of wills" type of relationship I like.

RE: When Do Attempts At Persuasion Become Controlling and Manipulative?

Good Morning, Leigh. wave

RE: When Do Attempts At Persuasion Become Controlling and Manipulative?

How cooperative, or not, are you?

That's the answer.

RE: Why Can't All Women Learn 2 Cook?

Through a combination of laziness and mixed-up priorities.

Everybody should be able to cook.

RE: Music for your mood

Flight of the Conchords ~ If you're into it.

RE: The best political system for a western nation during the global financial crisis.

Modern war depletes resources more than it would deplete the people draining said resources, and so, could not solve our economic woes.

Therefore, peace is on the one hand necessary to prevent destruction but on the other hand it is also completely unsustainable.

Best long-term solution for global economic problems? Plague. It's no secret to historians that one of the most prosperous times was within the immediate decades following on from the Black Death - social mobility, opportunity and development reached previously unseen levels, it was a golden age.

Good needs bad, bad needs good. Life is life.

RE: The best political system for a western nation during the global financial crisis.

From the Left, state intervention for the purpose of meeting the practical demands that the private sector has completely failed to address - in our case today this would predominantly require protectionist policies to restore economic order and balance.

The Right wing - in the old-fashioned sense - for its cultural aspects of discipline and patriotism, and also to facilitate the work ethic and vigor necessary to meet the challenge of enabling protectionist policies.

Syncretic policies and malleable tactics are what is required from politics.

RE: Government should NOT be able to control the Value Of Money....

Maybe so, and yet the Left does the very same in regards to the untermenschen, with its tired ideas aimed at helping the hopeless.

The Left is just as guilty of inertia as the Right, just as decrepit, just as stagnant and just as backward, wholly and equally unprepared for the politics of this century.

RE: What you are looking for in your next relationship?

Less neurosis.

RE: America the Free????

The police behaved terribly.

No swearing and little shouting, no kicking in the teeth and not even a sign of a police baton. But they certainly don't need arresting, that serves no purpose, all these over pampered pricks really need is a good punch in the face.

Really, is this is what Grandad died for? The freedom to dance about like a dickhead? - they don't even have any rhythm! - Jesus Christ.

RE: Government should NOT be able to control the Value Of Money....

I thought value was ultimately based upon whatever the consumer believes the supply to be worth.

If it wasn't for the machinations of politics then i'd say any Western currency could be worth less than half of what it is today. It doesn't make sense for nations that disproportionately consume to then maintain such a high value in their currencies - it's pure smoke and mirrors that we can do this.

RE: Does the music that you prefer reveal your personality?

I do. wave

RE: Does the music that you prefer reveal your personality?

wine

RE: Does the music that you prefer reveal your personality?

Eclectic tastes in music often signify an eclectic personality.

However, some intelligent people know this, and so an interesting taste in music does not necessarily mean you have an interesting person.

RE: Palestine and Israel: What the problem is?

What was not to my taste? The common attitudes I came across, their ways of doing business, their customs and even the smell of the place.

As for free will and Democracy, these are purely limited concepts. What we call free will is questionable, afterall, you can only want what you will, but you can not will what you want, just as you can only do what you want, you can not want what you want. It is merely Man's self-awareness that makes us neglect how predetermined our actions and thoughts truly are. So if will is predetermined, then so is our vote.
