Really now, the last thing Libertarian is is Fascist. Fascism wants to forcibly include everyone, Libertarianism is individual self-obsession, everyone else simply doesn't matter in a Libertarian society, it's nothing more than ruthless anarchy. Which is why Libertarianism is a joke and has never existed in practice, it's idealistic, utopian, naive, nonsense just like Marxism.
Maybe she'll never be the timeless legend that Bowie is, but she's good all the same. I think they use contraversy so they don't have to become generic to sell records.
I don't think discussing politics is the reason why the people on here aren't Casanovas. Some of us just have something wrong with our brains which makes us genuinely interested in politics.
If you see it that way. I personally think the simplest of folk are sometimes the most wise. Good education without genetic intelligence, now there's a dangerous thing.
He's a better man than Trump. Perhaps maybe even as good as Ford had circumstances and the times been different. Still, there's that innovative, creative spirit lacking, there still remains the difference between being very good and being brilliant with someone like Buffet - and I think brilliant is what you need and you've not had brilliant since the days of Jefferson.
I must say I don't envy you in the States, I wouldn't have a clue who to vote for despite how it may sound, lol.
Kind of. The Right-wing is certainly closer to nature in its rationale, whereas the Left is threatened by nature. None more so than today where modern Left-wing politics has abandoned all forms of rationalism.
I agree with everything other than Socialism being able to achieve a classless system. Even a Marxist society, in practice, is forced to obey sense and give roles to people based on these people's abilities. From these differing roles comes divisions, from these divisions comes the classes.
Yes, there will always be a class system. To not have one would require equal ability, equal effort and equal luck amongst everybody.
Class is simply not as prominent today because of the volume of people that live as if they were middle class. Undoubtedly however, recent times are instilling a degree of clarity to the matter.
Big business was created by man. Whatever the economy is, we created it to be that way, it reflects on our attitude as people. Not that I think things should of been any different, every civilization begins rural and then develops into cities, each city drawing in people from the land like a plant draws nutrients from the soil.
I'm not just talking about 2.4 children families, i'm talking about more general attitude towards life. Stop to consider how much more traditional(families included)your part of the country is to my own, then ask yourself where does the greatest sense of community lie?
However, on the point of family, i'm from a single parent background and I know that in ways this does differentiate and put you at odds with others... perhaps our experience with family reflect our attitudes now?
Maybe there's reason to defend what's normal? Afterall, without what's normal where is the common ground between individuals? What is a community if not an agreement upon common grounds? Perhaps by eliminating what's normal we create communities of strangers - why is that so telling of the 21st century?
