This thing just isn't working!

thanks for the explanation. I always appreciate you for this--sometimes when I need a clear answer to something alls I seem to get is smart-assy stuff. I understand better now about the threads. Here you go - rose

This thing just isn't working!

I don't understand this.

What if it's a guy whistling at another guy? (does happen!)

redundant: "a superfluous reminder...(et al). But O.K. I'll go with obsolete, dormant. Not every word or phrase has to stay in a secure little corner, roses to you.rose rose rose rose

This thing just isn't working!

All right all ready. It is not necessary to be redundant.

cool you rock!

This thing just isn't working!

Could someone out there please tell me why some of our threads are locked lately? I asked the CS staff; they responded that it was due to another member making some errors, or whatever. But it is still happening. Yesterday I posted a "thought" totally benign, and it isn't even on there today. Others have had this happen. I understand that nothing is 'perfect', but I just don't get this. dunno

Oxymorons, bumper stickers, colloquialisms, twisted sayings...

Howdy all. I'm collecting a smattering of useless trivia and I'd like your ideas. Here's the skinny on it: Oxymoron: Jumbo Shrimp; Cold as Hell. Bumper Sticker: Be Patient. Or Be One. Colloquialism: Sittin' In The Catbird Seat. Twisted Saying: We park in a driveway and drive on a parkway. Please, your contributions! (I'll wait 'til the cows come home... (ha ha)

RE: Random acts of kindness

Great idea, positive ripples in the pondThat's such a great way to put it! Love it--hug

RE: Open relationships

Now why did it print it this way? (it put all of what we both had to say in the same 'pre-post'. Am I hitting wrong keys, or what , Virgo?) anyway, y'all knew what I meant!::smoking:)

RE: Open relationships

RE: Hmmmmmm I wonder

yes, it's easy. go to own profile, hit "flower him". It doesn't care. If you mean a real flower, see the local florist!cool

RE: Open relationships

"maybe, but it has never been me". WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER PERSON INVOLVED, Col? dunno confused

RE: Open relationships

lips Enchante', ma chou chou. Enchante'!

RE: Open relationships

AGREED. Just because we want something doesn't necessarily make it good for us. Lots of other instincts need to be dealt with responsibly. Fire is useful for warmth and cooking. Out of control it destroys, is a good way to put this thought.handshake

RE: Open relationships

One of the most researched topics in human psychology and relations. I can't quote verbatim or use footnotes here, but as I remember, experts have concluded that it is unnatural for males to be exclusive. Of course the marriage ideal conflicts this, but if we were to operate solely on instincts, it is my opinion that this is probably true.

RE: U.F.O'S :Do u beleive them or its just a fiction

I have always thought this way too. Look at all the possibilities. and-if the universe is unending (I know there's a better word for this, so someone please remind me. I'm a Gomer today) then there's no chance for there NOT to be. did I say this right? (that is, if life isn't discovered in one galaxy, then keep going on the the next, and the next..and so on. There's other intelligent life out in the cosmos, maybe even so advanced we can't imagine.transport

What can you tell me about Faith?

this was a good post. I like it that you think over your idea before putting it down. Being spontaneous is endearing-sometimes-but not schmart other times, that adage "know how deep the creek is before diving in" sort of thing. It's my nap time-us old timers, you know. sleep sleep

What can you tell me about Faith?

hug you made me laugh. thank you, Bud.

What can you tell me about Faith?

Interesting you should reply to such a question. I have a spiritual faith. Sometimes the letter I post arrives, sometimes not. No I do not think about it once posted. Yes, most drivers have faith the other driver will not cross the line. Yes, you are right we spend most of our day acting in faith. I do not discredit doubt easily. Yes, I have heard the "when in doubt" expression. I agree with it. I admit I do not understand your comment about doubt/original sin. Does not compute. Good luck to you, as well.handshake

What can you tell me about Faith?

"to trust oneself when all men doubt you, and make allowance for the doubting, too" r.kipling So, help me understand--it seems you say "Faith" cannot always be counted on, as it were (agreed) yet quote that the lack thereof is disturbing? I offer you my undivided attention. (the http. sites are a waste of time--I do not have access, but thanx.handshake

What can you tell me about Faith?

Heck, I told you you were correct. Want my shirt, too?handshake

What can you tell me about Faith?

what was in it for them? (ha ha just messin' with ya!)

What can you tell me about Faith?

You get it. Those intangible assets that we can't quite illustrate, but need , to go on.

What can you tell me about Faith?

cool

What can you tell me about Faith?

Honest to Pete--you are missing what I am saying. It's quite ok if you let it go--really.
