Two years ago I was desperate for love, today I'm at peace and comfortable being alone. Hormones, denial, adjusting ? Being somewhat reclusive for the past 14 months may have conditioned me to making friends with my life at this stage.
It's a two-way street, what woman would want an over the hill, broke and emotionally fatigued man ? Could be nature's way of easing us out.
We live as though we'll live forever, a mortgage, a new car, marriage without a pre-nup. Education towards an occupation that tires you out within 2 years. Divorce, the big one. For all you "love forever" believers, at this point, it's a 50/50 chance that you'll make it through the next 7 years.
Just meet someone that you really like, buy her (him) a house and a car, then walk away. It's going to happen anyway. Who on this site has experienced otherwise.
