RE: What if...

You sound as if you've had a Near Death Experience; have seen the other side, but have been told to return to this plane, now just realizing just how illusionary our existence really is...as indeed, such a world as our current plane is just another step in our collective paraphysical evolution. The size and nature of the universe that we sense as physical creatures of time seems beyond our comprehension. We only see a very small part of it all. If only our eyes were truly open to see the other dimensions co-existing with ours...

RE: The Mask

Everyday, usually all day, almost 24-7 for years...nothing new; the masquerade ball of life never ends except at Death...cheer up Pearl!

RE: Being alone....

We have friends and we have acquaintances. With friends there are various levels...borders if you will that we know deep inside, we should not cross into what can be termed "intimate" in its wider sense; if we do try and cross that line, we gamble on rejection...real friends are rare and those whom we would call intimate are rarer still. Loneliness is not always the same as "Alone-ness" part of the trick in Life is learning the vast differences but in the end, you still gamble, but hopefully you'll know...feel it when that moment comes and your loneliness/ alone-ness will vanish; we hope for the best despite all odds of finding it, don't we...viel gluck...

RE: Attitude Is Everything - - - what's yours?

LOL! Nothing man-made; my altitude is like a Monty Python approach to Life. It works great for me; it may "take the edge" off for others...what's the old saying: "Try it, ya'll like it!" %D

RE: Attitude Is Everything - - - what's yours?

We need to take a higher altitude towards Life.

RE: My Teddy Bear (Not named Teddy)

It means about as much as all the children named Jesus, only in the case of Islam, they do not believe in images: no baby in the cradle named Mohamed, let alone Allah or statues etc. No images of any kind. Naming a child Mohamed is the same as we name a child Jesus...in honour of; same as with naming a child after any favourite, revered relative or historical,(hysterical?) famous person in history.

RE: Where Did "Morals" Originate??

Try the religious records found on this planet; ancient Sumer. All of their ancient records have been found as...meaning no point of any known origin or beginning...All their records from Religious texts to school lessons, to world trade right down to taxes have been found and translations are still on-going. They are the origins of all our religious history, beliefs and how humanity evolved and progressed....long before any 10 commandments or the Bible as we know it came to be. Virtually all of which were copied from the Sumerians.
To seek origins, one must always go to the oldest known sources.

RE: have you ever wondered what its like at the edge of the universe ?..because it must end somewhere ?

Not so fast: Earth is in Minnesota, while Milky Way is actually in Tennessee...but no town called Universe...just the usual planets and moons...%D

and like commodities, we are all disposable; this is the Disposable Age; no deposits, no returns and no refills, unless you believe in reincarnation...%)

RE: what science fiction film has more chance of becoming reality ?..tell us the storyline !

Excellent choices; I agree with both of you. Soylent Green was/ is a truly disgusting scenario...a similar solution to solve "world hunger" has actually been proposed years ago.
Another could be Brave New World or the book sequel Brace New World Revisited, which 2 or 3 Producers/ directors turned down for filming it as they found it too horrifying fearing not many people would like to see it on screen...

RE: what would happen if jesus christ came back as black man ? ( a rastafarian ) !

I'd cancel my prescription to the magazine Canabis Culture; I wouldn't need it anymore...toke, toke, toke......

RE: Anyone else agree with me on this?

Go back and find copies from the 80's and compare them, especially the editorial directions and growing slants. It starts to explain why the huge shake-ups there in staff. It became more radicalized by an anything but empowering women in any positive and ethical manner. Today, it a total fraud making millions and advancing agendas that does not sit well at all with most women around the world that read/ looks at Cosmo, but they don't care, their staff simply makes up a new poll that shows all women the world over, even those in bordels and harems simply love Cosmo and can't live without it!

RE: CS Lynching.. 5 ways you want to send someone to meet there maker!!

and here I thought that the deity in the white house had declared this to be the age of kindness and gentility...ummmm
ok; strap that "special" someone to a chair in front of a stereo taped loop of Tip Toe Through the Tulips by Tiny Tim , or something even worse, until their head explodes...or have them on a table with a central drip over their stomachs so they can watch the sulphuric acid make holes in them....

RE: Howe too imprss somon on thiis cite.

LOL1 I wondered what was going on...you misspelling/ or using colloquial and or phonetic spelling?! Nice try, but I'm afraid your post will fall on "deaf fingers" as it were, this time...%D

RE: What Is The Worse Movie Ever Made?

Santa Claus Conquers The Martians! Nothing remotely funny; just plain awful...Aboot and Costello Meet The Mummy was even "funnier"...

RE: no need to respond :)

LOL! Ahh,the good ole Swiss banks; a world unto themselves...
Arrangements had been made between Allen Dulles and co. with the various German firms, banks and even the SS to leave the doors open to the Swiss banks as early as 1943. With the collapse of Budapest, the amounts being transferred increased a hundred fold including all moneys paid to ransom Jewish refugees by various groups which in turn via Dulles went into various firms , holding companies and "slush funds: that Dulles and others used to set up among other things the OSS. etc. Many new German business's like pharmaceuticals, genetic research labs and "Health" oriented firms were set up with US assistance including in many cases the transfer on entire staffs from SS research facilities...the world pretty well knows what went on, but by and large, the Swiss as a whole are not usually open to corruption on the scale that we see in most other governments.

RE: FOX news

The markets of the world are like simple beasts; supplies of oil is tight and now disruptions are very possible, so the prices go up. But the market is so tight because demand has been growing much faster than the supply for years now, mainly due to the economic boom in Asia; and now the fear is that oil supplies will stop altogether. The German-based Energy Watch Group declared last month that global oil output peaked in 2006 at 81million barrels per day. It will fall to 58 million per day, if not more, per day by 2020, they predict, and to only 39 million per day to only 39 million per day by 2030, not counting the possibility of a total shut down by nuclear war. Radio active contaminated oil will not be shipped, nor wanted, much less put into any barrels...
Once the realization sinks in that the future is one of steadily diminishing oil supplies and only rising prices, there will be a vicious scramble for total control of the remaining reserves, accompanied by more wars that only deplete those reserves even faster. The markets will panic, a deep and permanent global depression will then only impoverish everyone, and there will not be the will or the resources to build a new economy that is far less dependent on oil.
If indeed, peak oil is here, the sooner that countries should start adapting their economies to a future in which oil is increasingly scarce and expensive, the less pain and risks we all will face when we are all running out of fuel on the global highway...

RE: FOX news

Bush has also accomplished one other , long overdue set of circumstances: he has succeeded in finally bringing the chickens home to roost as the old saying goes; the assorted groups of "terrorists" are and will be following the American troops home and try to do to them as they have been doing to their countries for decades. Retribution time is coming home to the US; all candidates so far, seem to parrot the same, tired old Bush attitudes and policies, so no matter who is elected, the wars won't stop.
Good post Hi-Fi!! %D

RE: The DAY AFTER ROSWELL, is The Definig Book as to The REALITY of UFO'S...

and on these topics, including the research into "free energy: everyone forgets about Nicholas Tesla, who became a danger to all those with vested interests in oil, gas and electrical power with his inventions. There are a few good books out there on him. His diaries and notebooks are still classified and no amount of applications under the so called "Freedom of Information Act" are having any effect to even account for the number of his notebooks that were confiscated by govt. agents.
Some other very interesting books on these topics that I really recommend are;
The Stargate Conspiracy by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince
Sight Unseen by Budd Hopkins and Carol Rainey (scientific experiments to duplicate known UFO technology and what has been discovered)
The Case For The Face; Scientists Examine all the evidence for Alien Artifacts on Mars by The Society for Planetary SETI Research, editors Stanley V. McDanie and Monica Rix Paxson, editors
The Mars Mystery by Graham Hancock, author of Fingerprints Of The Gods
Alien Agenda by Jim Marrs just to mention several to catch up on as to what current science is tackling or has recently discovered that never appears in the local paper's sport section or as the former head spokesperson for the British MOD said, "we have open skies so we should have open minds..."when they released documents and films from gun-cameras on their pursuit jets of UFOs over England.

RE: Is the true history of Astrology really known?

Lol...'fraid not; none that I'm aware of; if any interest in the popular astrology's at all, from the different countries, it would be the Chinese as the most/ better reliable one as far as people go.
Chinese sign: Dog; "Western": Taurus...%D

RE: What Is The Worse Movie Ever Made?

LOL! I take it you meant Bus Stop...%D hey, I'll bet it was more fun than being in some military "health film" on the dangers of VD like I was...%D

RE: Is the true history of Astrology really known?

One of my favourite writers of things totally out of the mainstream concepts was Ivan T. Sanderson, but when I read his take on the origins and uses of Astrology...I found it totally ludicrous...as to be rejected by both laughable ridicule as well as scholarly research. But when he wrote, (with some insight, nevertheless), the translations of the Sumerian clay tablets found at Nineveh, did not exist other than in bits as many of the tablets themselves, with only one linguistics expert around at the time, Samuel Kramer.
Sitchin, is like Immanuelle Velikovsky, a genius with languages and history in many fields. We need more like them to "enlighten" us..the books are great, have a fantastic time when you get copies!

RE: Solomon..the wisest man??

Just imagine what his divorce and alimony settlements must have been ... %D

RE: Is the true history of Astrology really known?

This planet's oldest known language, Sumerian, from which dozens have developed from has been translated sufficiently to have thousands of the clay tablets translated, especially the historical and astronomical tablets, with still thousands more to go.
The best translated astrological histories are by the current scholar and writer Zecharia Sitchin, whose works have so far stood up to any ancient language critics. There are only a handful of those who know 2 or more of the ancient languages of the Near East, let alone have a working knowledge of virtually all of them.
You may wish to read what he has translated as to the origins and development of Astronomy/ astrology in 2 of his books: When Time Began and The Lost Realms, the 4th and 5th books of his "Earth Chronicles. If one wishes to know origins, seek in the oldest known language of Earth. No one knows just how far back their origins go, as everything known about them was discovered all fully formed; in historical perspective, it is referred to as "sudden appearance: origin unknown, dates unknown. As Carl Sagan once described them , "a total mystery; their knowledge awesome..."
Any good book store should carry these books or you can order them Bear & Company, One Park St.; Rochester, Vermont; . Great books!

RE: no need to respond :)

Not bad; it certainly would be a welcome change from today's grab all you can, as fast as you can and "F**k everyone!" attitudes.
When was the last time anyone heard of any corruption in the Swiss governmental system, or Andorra, even Lichtenstein that has enough hidden secret bank accounts as or even more than Switzerland. Those people have a totally , almost alien set of values and morality compared to most who run the various governments.

RE: Sending out the Wrong Signals

It's pure discrimination that males are allowed bare chested photos and females are not. So much for "equality" In Europe it's no big deal, we see it all the time and in summer in most parks and other places it's always "clothing optional"; especially on websites...like "ho-hum" what is the big deal...

Tattos For The Blind, Better Than Tatoos By the Blind...

As if being blind isn't enough, an Art Designer student in Berlin has created the world's first Braille Tattoo, a piece of surgical steel, titanium or medical plastic which can be implanted under your skin and read via touch. Inventor/ designer Klara Jirkova envisions the first Braille Tattoos placed in the piece of skin between the thumb and the first finger, so that when people shake hands; your hand(?), they can read your names and find out how hip you really are. (Wired Blog) (Keeping tabs on the number of "things" that can be implanted under one's skin; first computer chips and now art ?)

Hot Enough For Ya ?

The Guinness Book of World Records has finally crowned a new world champion as the World's Hottest Chili. The Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Chili) from Assam, India took over the title after it scored a blistering one million Scoville heat units(SHU's), more than doubling the 577,000SHU's of the previous champion, America's Red Savina. An average Tabasco sauce scores between 2,500 and 5,000SHU's (MSNBC) Got a glass of ice ?

RE: Explain the user name you chose

It is primarily based on my basic life philosophy/ view/perspective, then Time and circumstances . If a person doesn't need or want to keep pace with their acquaintances/ friends, then maybe it's because he hears a different drummer. Each person should step to the music which they hear, no matter how it's measured or the distance. As I have basically lived alone most of life with the exception of an all too brief sardonic/ bitter-sweet marriage I long ago decided to go my own way and basically "let the world linger on my middle finger" as it were.
