RE: Are you fed up? What will happen to the EU?

I would like for "the system" to be demolished; totally. This system is of no real benefit to the vast majority of the combined populations of Europe. This "system" only benefits an economic elite and their international cabal of banks and so called "lending institutions" with an ever increasing amount of usury/ interests.
What I would like to see replace it's destruction is a debt-free monetary system with absolutely no inter related banking/usury system whether by monolithic family blocks such as the Bank of England with their Rothschild families being allowed to control every aspect of all financial dealings including their right to print money. We have had enough of this; it does no good for the EU to be subservient to a monetary system based on debt. We all deserve better and we should demand a change and we turn the tables on the system we have been yoked under.
I like what efforts the Argentinians have tried as all their economic woes have been orchestrated by their banks and that insidious IMF. Many of those bankers are now awaiting trials, others have closed up and fled and some have been shot, yet very little of any coverage outside South America.
Some one made a comment regarding the massive trade surplus looming with China and India; their products may cost next to nothing but their quality is nothing compared to anything we Europeans can, could and should produce for our own selves. Their quality of anything is pure garbage and have people never heard of boycotts against accepting such garbage into our respective countries. In plain language---screw them and all their crap. We do not need a lowering of standards nor of quality; this is not, unless we do nothing, "luxury items for the masses" which means acceptance of inferior products, technologies and the lowering of those living standards that we all have worked for so long. The hell with them. We do not need their garbage; we can do better; we are better.

RE: Are you fed up? What will happen to the EU?

We, as Europeans need the concept, at the very least, as a counter-balance to the monolithic economic and "cultural" monster of the US, otherwise, we are and will be totally dominated by them and be nothing more than their colony; a mere "convenience store" on one of their street corners. This is something I and many others are totally opposed to. For the last 60 years, we; Europe has / have been regarded by them as theirs; their colony, a sort of "mickey mouse coca cola colony of Uncle Sam and in many ways it is one reason they are still keeping their occupation troops here on European soil, but now-days, "occupation troops" is not used, but "security forces" are here...and now wanting to expand into eastern Europe under various and rather devious excuses...
The EU, as it presently stands is better than nothing; we need to streamline it for the benefit of all our respective countries and certainly these miserable politicians must be made subservient to a code of ethics and conduct that will benefit us rather than hamper our respective economic, cultural and national aspirations.
Personally, I find "politics" abhorrent and politicians among the vilest self-serving gang of criminals equal to the types so prevalent in the US. However, for myself, I have no use for any emasculated versions of a "constitutional monarchy" either. It ends up just as we have right now. We are in dire need of a system that works for all our needs and will benefit as many as humanly possible in Europe first; our Home first, then we can begin to help others, but we need to "clean house" first, get our own hose of Europe in order first, with priorities that make sense, that do integrate us more willingly rather than grudgingly and thus cause more problems...

RE: What is most important?

Thank you Marti...%)
I'd like to take this a bit further, if I may:
Our so called "culture" seems to spend half its time leaving messages, talking on the cell phones, staring at screens of one sort or another, or sitting behind the wheel of a car(steering wheel, that is!) Our great grandparents didn't live this way; they all had face-to-face meetings and conversations, told stories, even eavesdropped, gossiped wrote letters, and even went walking just for fun(!), not for exercise. Our society today is forgetting the old art of socializing. We've come to believe that we live to work rather than work to live, and we no longer set aside time to either meet new people or just socialize with friends in the flesh.
This is a horrible situation because the human race has evolved in large part from our drive to seek out the company of others and share our experiences and adventures. It's how we make sense out of our world and add those spices to our lives---raving about a new movie or restaurant, telling tales of our youth or of the day before, discussing politics, the arts, or what is currently happening with the local politicians being indicted for (fill-in-the-blank). Over the years socializing has drastically changed, in large part thanks to advances in science and technology.
Once upon a time we congregated face-to-face in clubs, discos, churches, at festivals etc. and by inviting friends over, into our homes. More and more though, this face-to-face contact has been supplanted by leaving, retrieving, and responding to messages...
The only way for those who really want it, to bring vitality back into our lives is by actually going out with other people.
True, there are really no short-cuts to locating your "soul mate", as you still must be "out there and available"...right, but like any selection process, love is a numbers game: the more people you meet, the more of a chance you have of finding someone who's right for you in the long term.
Of course, you have the right to remain silent, have an attorney present for signing of any non-disclosure contract with a date or do nothing, but that won't get you very far. One must take action; not simply going and sitting in a disco with drink after drink all evening, hoping that by closing time you'll have fallen into the wrong hands...%) One has to make a concerted effort to mingle with people whose interests, values (income related..?), and beliefs match yours. If getting out hasn't brought you the results you've wanted, perhaps it time to create a socializing action plan that will bring you more activity, variety and new people into your life.
There seem to be two simple rules to follow for meeting people: Entertain once a week without fail, and accept all (reasonable) invitations. Start with all the people you know, are merely acquainted with, but aren't familiar with...arrange a dinner or an outing once a week, and encourage your guests to bring new people; accept all reasonable invitations..."There's a few of us going over to the new restaurant on...street on Wednesday. Want to come along" And feel free to bring a friend; I want to meet new people." There's the key phrase: I want to meet new people.
If you don't naturally meet a lot of new people, and you feel you've tapped your friends enough, find other ways to get involved. The more activities you participate in and the more places you visit, the sooner you'll be able to perhaps meet the person who's out there searching for you...
And then, there is internet dating...it is simply a tool; think of the internet as one slice of a larger pie, not as a substitute for socializing, but as one of many ways you can expand your circle of acquaintances, get together with them in a social setting, and eventually find your matched opposite.
I have no idea why I wrote this...perhaps feeling a bit sociological or is it pathological...not much difference is there....%D
Back into the wine cellar...

RE: Unbelievers in Global Warming

ment to say: nothing without a 100%...

RE: Unbelievers in Global Warming

Wouldn't it be nice if nothing could be manufactured with a 100% guarantee that it is totally recyclable with end of use...perhaps a space station to gather all waste and toxic materials of the Earth , then pack it and send into the Sun for total annihilation...

RE: The latest from Bush!

LOL! and you, if you are of English ancestry, that makes you either from the Saxons or the Inglis tribes which were Germanic, ; if Welsh, Irish, Danish or Scottish, from the Germanic/ Teutonic tribes in the far north. and German is the mother tongue of what became "Old English" then mixed later on with Norse and Latin with a touch of Gaelic and Celt. Nothing alien in speaking any of the Germanic languages. Perhaps you should return to your high school for more history lessons, that is ,if you ever, in fact, attended one.

RE: what do y think bout

That is the same as asking what does one think of Protestants and do u find them fanatic or too protesting...hell, one can leave out Muslim and just fill in the blank naming any and all groups; local, national or multinational, then we could move on to all other religions and all their off-shoots, then to Race, ethnic origin, and keep going until one starts naming various parent-teacher organizations. I find the entire question rather inane and ludicrous...

RE: MORAL LAW....

This "doctrine" of exploiting AND causing massive catastrophes throughout the world by multinational corporations and through the use of wars is but the logical application of the Malthus Theory of Economics as worked out by the various agent fronts of the CIA back in the early 50's; basically it all came down to manipulation and control of all this planet's resources and populations; plans for , to create the American world empire. This is the reason many left as they wanted no further part in this dawning of a "brave new world" and what many of the early documents testify to, especially from their "councils of foreign relations" and others. As the knowledge of this spread, many began to see that the warnings , especially from Dr. Otto Strasser was that the US was truly the common enemy of all Mankind, and it was he that several years before Der Spiegel, published the proof that all the major cities of Germany had US atom bombs buried them, ostensibly to deter Soviet armies from invading the West...sure it was; Der Spiegel refused the story, but then years later published their own version of this which then "forced" the US military to publicly withdraw, at least, some of them, but as many other documents released through the FOI, showed that their primary obsession was not with any potential Soviet invasion but any further German counter attempts to unite Europe in any economic and military rivalry to US domination, hence, under whatever name one calls it, Occupation troops will remain in Germany at least until 2050. Unless they are forced to withdraw, retreat; pushed out from all of Europe. This is also one of the main reasons they have always sought to control NATO, the European Common Market ; what is now the EU right from the start to counter the Pan-European attempts to form their own, non-US dominated, non interference from US interests as first proposed by "the French" which, sadly, did end up as a sort of compromise stalemate known as NATO...look deeply into who these people were/ are who formed both NATO and the Common Market in Europe and you'll find some very interesting threads and commonalities that will surprise you... %)

RE: MORAL LAW....

Und werh have you been...the "bunker busters" have been around since the first Gulf War; they are just increasing the amount on TNT power and adding more depleted uranium, U235 which also yield higher "alpha radiation".of which Iraq is now the most contaminated country in the world thanks to the Yankee largess of daily donations. Many groups are now on line with all the resulting footage of horrible birth defects and mutations resulting from exposure to this. There is a huge lid on trying to keep the silence of the Yank troops returning suffering also from exposure....
The target always has been and always will be the heart of Europe; that policy was laid down as "holy law" by certain cabals in the US , as personified by one Bernard Baruch. Whatever "Moral Law" they follow, certainly isn't from any morality those from a "Christian" heritage wouldn't understand...do you think that Jesus would understand the old god Yaw Weh aka Baal; benevolence vs. blood-lust...the open hand versus the hand holding a gun...what I expect to see at any time now is the same as the Roman Empire dared to apply to their coins: TERRA CAPTA on the US coins, as a "fait accompli"...

RE: MORAL LAW....

Mois????? Gee, I fot that you'd know! %) It is versatile in meanings; it could be applied to any number of occasions; could just as well be a speech impediment, typed out of course as in Elmer Fudd declaring ,"I fot Bugs Bunny was fotting too much and I twyd to sneek up on him..." ""But I fot him hard." %D

New! A Diet Fork!

It is obvious that the concept of eating less food and being slightly more active than a couch vegetable is too difficult for dieters to comprehend, but don't despair for them! Now they, or you can order for them the "Diet Fork"!; a utensil designed to make it so cumbersome to ingest food that they, you will eat less in order to help you lose weight. The mad creator of this dining tool crap appears to be serious, selling the fork for $8.95US on his website. Disregarding the fact that there are more than enough fattening foods in the world that do not require any tool to eat them with, this website boasts that the "Diet Fork" has shorter and dulled teet to stop you from stabbing large pieces of food, has a smaller surface area forcing you to eat smaller bites and is cleverly designed with an uncomfortable grip which will compel(!) the dieter to put the fork down in between bites. Get yours at Order a whole bunch and give them out to people stuffing themselves at your local Mac burger joint! (as if anything is going to help!)

RE: Iraqi Army Withdraws From Fallujah

Still living in your comic book world; all this reminds me and others of the calm before the Tet Offensive by the Viet-Cong; Yanks were so elated at their rate of progress that many even spoke of "saddling-up and headin' home"; many did leave but in body bags...
you'll eventually "cut an' run" one way or another just like in Somalia, Lebanon, Vietnam, etc.

RE: Freedom

Never let anyone ever accuse you of not seeing clearly.
Uncontrolled anything has no direction nor reason; like cubic /abstract art: confused perspectives, multiple possibilities of viewpoints, synthetic; only vague images of no direct matter or thoughts nor experiences; similar to the stillness of abstract expressionism, lacking even the energy of dadaism as a form of mental/ spiritual awareness...will it be caffeine or the weed...
which awakens you better..but not in your bubble bath!! %D

RE: why do some guys have a picture WITH a woman in their arms in their profile?

Would it be any better if the other person had a bag over their head?
A photo with another person being held close, regardless if they be male or female, is in bad taste for a singles site, I think; it sends messages; mixed at best.

RE: Freedom

Ok; I'm enthralled, I have a mind? WOW! not that I mind, mind you...people and other mindless twits and mental zombies have been telling me for years that I don't have one, or the other half says that I had lost it years ago...who cares, I don't mind.
Can you or anyone live your lives as a series of direct experiences instead of abstractions in your head? (aka your mind) %D

RE: My Cat's getting ready to have kittens?

Yes but aren't cats pregnant every nine days...%D LOL!

RE: My Cat's getting ready to have kittens?

The best place that I've found is in an open closet: have a shallow large basket, lots of padding, some old towels, as you'll have to change them after all the mess of birth fluids, etc. then gently give them some new old soft towels and let the proud mother clean her kittens and purr away. Have her food and water close by so she can hop out, eat and go back in to her kittens. Low light and some soft classical music could be nice...you can go and relax with a few glasses of wine. She'll be fine...%) (I've had over 50)

RE: Coulda, woulda, shoulda... Regrets?

Regrets are an intrinsic part of Life for all of us. Brooding is an impediment to moving forward and away from its cause. Brooding is always negative. This old saying about learning isn't of any help, as the time and circumstances never come again that allows you put into practice whatever it is that you think you have learned so as not to repeat it again. Each new set of "circumstances" is just that; new and open to new if. Circumstances can't be designed nor taylor made for a person. While there many things that I regret, I do not brood over them; I just want to get the future behind me...%@

RE: the beatles or elvis?

Little Richard ,together with Chuck Berry were once asked by a reporter what they were going to do if and when they ever retired from doing shows...Richard answered that they are all going to the Home For The Chronically Hip, Berry chimed in with "Yeah an' we'll have wheel chair races down the halls, doin' wheelies!"
Maybe, Bob will join them and keep singin' about how times are a changin'...%) Time to get ready for work; take care.

RE: the beatles or elvis?

I probably would...my wife and I saw him back in the mid 80's playing in upstate NY...doing the summer camp and mountain hotels and resorts circuit. Still good but a "bit tired"
I first saw in in the coffee houses in Greenwich Village back in 62 or 64 and even sketched one of his first posters up on store walls for hearing live at the ...Gaslight and Cafe Wha? over on Bleeker and McDougal, that became his "hangout", when the Beats moved down the street...Nice times. Loved his song lyrics; still do. %)

RE: the beatles or elvis?

"Right On Brother!!" Amen to that! %D You are a thousand percent right about the Crown of Rock'n' Roll Both Little Richard and Chuck Berry were the real runner ups who were pushed aside.
Of all the Rock singers and concerts that I've ever seen, they are to me, still the best that there ever was. Rolling Stones, especially in the 60's were the best group and look at who influenced them to no end; Little Richard, Chuck Berry and...Presley plus a huge assortment of the Delta Blues singers.
I Love Little Richard's children's songs album, got for mine many years ago. They both still love his version of On Top of Ol' Spaghetti, I think it was...%D

RE: the beatles or elvis?

Four to one is a bit much isn't it.
Better in what? All of the Beatles alone could sing , perhaps with the exception of Ringo Star...and even play a variety of instruments; Elvis could not play anything other than the guitar. His voice however, despite the type of songs he is known for, was far superior to most male singers around the world.
He only helped in writing, what, maybe 2 or 3 minor songs; most were from the writing team Lieber and Stroller who wrote hundreds of Rock N Roll songs that many others sang.
Who has earned the most...Beatles; more than 2 generations the world over bought their music, Presley had only the American market and lasted only generation in the US, if that. While the US population is large, they are not larger than the world's countries. Presley's music was banned in more countries than the Beatles, especially in Africa. Many Muslim countries banned both but not as many US radio stations banned him at different times in favour of that maudlin Pop by the likes of Pat Boone or Burl Ives, Lawrence Puke, I mean Welk.... Who influenced more groups is a different matter also; here I would say Presley did in both the old Rock-a-billy and Rock 'n' Roll. Their music styles were totally different, basically not similar enough for a comparison, in my opinion...The best sound track from Presley's movies was, I think, from King Creole; it had it all: Rock, Jazz, Blues. Lousy story though. I still prefer Little Richard. %D

RE: The Top 10 Intelligent Designs (or Creation Myths)

All the Creation Myths of all the major cultures/ civilizations, like languages can be traced back to one known source: ancient Sumeria and in many cases the translations back, are sometimes word for word for word; same goes for the development of writing and it's evolution from Sumerian pictographs to Chinese, to Sanskrit, to Egyptian to Phoenician etc.
All the world's creation myths are of / the product of directed, purposeful "intelligent design"
Intelligent Design is not the same as Creationism, whose adherents follow a religious doctrine, rejecting all allegorical and metaphorical interpretations of the Book of Genesis; they won't even admit to its origin from the Sumerian, thousands of years older than the Bible, and basically word for word...
It is a belief system that most Christians do not accept literally and which the Bible itself may not support, as it is heavily edited from the Sumerian account. It also lack any scientific support, in that fossil records reveal that Man has existed on this Earth for a far longer time than 6000 years. The six days of creation scenario, moreover, taken literally, bears absolutely no resemblance to the time it took for the Universe to form.
The more common sense notion of intelligent design,(creationism without the religious dogma) strikes a more palatable note with most people, even among many scientists who find it very hard to deny an inherent universal intelligence exists. The problem with creationism lies, the, not in the idea of intelligent design, but in its tainted dogmatic and inflexible fundamentalist interpretations of the Bible with regard to the debate over human origins.
As for Darwin, who admited that his theory of a gradualistic evolution was extremely shaky and really unable to compete with the theories of Catastrophism, the scientific community remains inflexible in its adamant prejudice towards Darwin, but are unable to provide a single transitory fossil to date or even deal with anything remotely resembling biblical catastrophies sush as the Great Flood, even if the connection has to do with sudden rather than gradual change in the course of evolution. Man, modern man, as we know him has been around for far more millions of years than evolutionist would have you believe. See the real records of what has been found of the fossils of man and dinosaurs toether in many cases, as systematically recorded in the book Forbidden Archeology,
914 pages by Michael A. Cremo and Richard I. Thompson 1998, available from BBT Science Books, distributed by Torchlight Books. p.o. box 52, Badger Calif. (www.torchlight.com) Many more good books are also available. They are worth the time and money to find. Start diggin' for 'em. %)

RE: Some One Liners ...

LOL! Love the last one especially! Just picture it or as John Lennon sang it: "Just imagine it" ! 5D

A long needed Holiday at last!

It is as I got it from the web news site: "an alleged Swiss psychiatrist" he offered no credentials; no one had actually asked for any, from any of the panel members...reporters are really dumb in many instances; you wear a nice suit, join others at a table on a stage, make intros, give a little blurb or two about most anything, and that becomes a soundbite for the news...all scripted and delivered with no questions asked...just like on CBS and CNN etc.

RE: Movie Quotes

I love all the Russ Myer films; all their dialogues are worth quoting at some time..."My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo, I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo." "Two things are important in life. For men, women. For women, money." "I can't make love to a bush..." %D Same goes for Ed Wood...%D !
