I would have thought he had been awarded every honour there could be. He was, to me, the quintessential Holmes, with Sir Basil a close second who, at times seemed a bit too 'hyper', a trait found in other characters he played. I would have liked to see Brett in other roles...his delivery reminded me of Richard Burton..
I knew that we had a long week-end coming but had no idea what it was for til yesterday....I never pay any attention to 'holidays'...I've even showed up for work on Boxing Day...lots of times This week-end is already half shot; my son has had to give up his own place due to his friends uncontrollable drinking and can't make the rent on his own yet so it's back here... Five whole months of Freedom...gone...oh well...there goes my my large art room
The once great Byzantine Empire existed long before the Crusaders of Western Europe barged into Constantinople. The financial situation was already precarious and Greece proper was a semi independent, mostly self ruling 'province' of that empire. Greeks were not its single largest ethnic nor racial/ tribal group that made up the ruling elite. The Crusaders only made their situation worse in the end. What the Templars learned or set up was only after they got there, not before and is , really irrelevant to the fact that the Greek provinces was a huge drain on the treasury of the Empire. It may have had self governing abilities, but it was never self sufficient to even raise enough to pay for its own troops or equipment, let alone the any garrisons of foreign troops there to help secure its defense from any direction. This was also one of the main problems the Romans had to contend with...Financial irresponsibility is and was endemic there even before the Romans arrived. That is the point. Nothing has been learned by the Greeks in the ways of being financially responsible in all these centuries. Ancient Greece and Rome are totally irrelevant to the financial catastrophes over the centuries of mismanagement and basic irresponsibility.
The Greeks have NEVER gotten their 'house' in order. Read up on the economic history of the Byzantine Empire. It was , as is now a total mess and Byzantium's financial nightmare. There is no hope at all for them. They should be under quarantine and left to finally rot away once and for all...
Charles Darwin and Henry David Thoreau were secretly married in a civil ceremony at Walden Pond. They had been lovers for years. Prince Charles has written a book about talking to plants and what they tell him in return. The book is called Babbling Bulbs... There has just been published by the Disney Co.called The Adults Only Coloring Book Of The Kama Sutra with a complimentary coloring booklet version of Lolita...
'Eccentric' has a nice sophisticated allure to it that still insinuates a dash of utter madness to it. So civilized, eh what! I also happen to hate mongers; ruddy, brutish beasts!
Speaking of books, have you ever used any of the numerous dictionaries of graphic/art symbols? You may wish to read what your username means; what it denotes in art. You might want to change it....
I thought I had seen it as 'Thread: Funniest/Most Awkward Religion?' On second and third thoughts, perhaps a thread on that would good... Lots of funny and very awkward religions around...
Which would be worse to have 'around' in your backyard...a bear or someone that is bare...either way, State troopers and city police would be there...or would they..?
As many others, one day they will both wake up and find that any 'love' has simply withered and died due to starvation and general neglect...the saddest death that Love can have...what a waste.
It's not my goals or objectives; it is their lives, their choices; all I can do is give them choices to make and provide guidance when they ask or when a situation warrants it before any harm is done...I'm their pathfinder as it were.
With what the 'creative deity' has to contend with from humankind, I agree and anyone with a good sense of humour, would also be able to have a deep sense of sadness also, I would think...
Enraged water fowl?? Sounds like Mad Magazine's version along with Mickey Rodent from the late 60's that they published in book form They were hilarious! Imagine blogs from all the crazy cartoon characters...from Yogi Bear to the Tasmanian Devil... Then we have blogs from all the scary creatures like Franky , Draci Baby and Wolfie Man.....imagine their blogs! All after, all searching for blood and all they get is peanut butter...blogs by the Terminator...that freaky Freddie the Nightmare....
Very disapointed and frustrated...I had been initially commited for 30to 90 days 'obsevation'; they threw me out after only 2 wks. I was in no hurry to leave and 3 FBI creeps hauled me out back to Wash.DC The idiot psychiatrist could barely speak any coherent English; kept asking what I do/ did in /about 'jiots'...what did I think about jiots...like wtf are or who are jiots??? Took me an entire day to finally understand he meant riots! Hell, he was the one who belonged in the psych ward; I asked him to prove that he was a doctor and not a patient; he refused...
For something completely different as well as having a 'musical setting' try Cadillac Records; it chronicles the founding and history of Chess Records and the most famous R&B singers in American music history. Then there is Honey Dripper; both movies give you the foundations of what developed into Rock and Roll. The wandering guitar player in Honey Dripper will be a total surprise. Look them up on the Internet Movie Database. Great musical history.
Only if you are NOT what they are looking for?? What if you ARE what they are looking for...how do you ever find out.. Did you know that you aren't allowed to see all those who have not viewed you?! Now, isn't that just awesome.. Just imagine what if with the help of certain spy ware and the right fiber optics, you can be watched while on CS by someone totally anonymous...oh wow... (better cover up!) Phoot ratings? That is of a form of vanity, I don't understand and a degree of insecurity I just don't comprehend...
...or play them backwards for any hidden messages and a bigger laugh...ummm, perhaps one day, I'll spin my 45's backwards and listen... (I have managed to hang on to most of my collection dating from the first R&R on 78rpm before they made the 45's Cd's are great sound wise, but many 45's beat them hands down that the CD can't reproduce...ie. Tequila by the Champs, That'll Be The Day by Buddy Holly & The Crickets or Gene Vincent, Clyde Stacy and The Nitecaps and many others...no wonder vinyl records are selling well but only on 33rpm albums
