RE: Who would be the best the best person to run the country in these times

I find the list extremely limited and narrow; also too many that are already dead; who would want dead people being in charge of any country. Necrophiliacs?
How about a little more diversity; such as Mickey Mouse, everyone(almost) adores that filthy rodent and it's a cartoon! It solves the obsession for make believe cartoon heroes...or Osama Bin Laden, perhaps Adolf baby, he was hate filled, thrived on hatreds for much of the same peoples still hated today by many that are 'republicans'; Russell Peters; now that would be interesting (I wonder how long he would last); same with Monty Python, hey, how about Rocky and Bullwinkle; would we not have a truly better world with them running any country not just the US, a bit more humourous than say, Malcom X...anyone for Charles Manson perhaps...or Howdy Doody..?rolling on the floor laughing

RE: what do you want?

When in North America, a nice simple smile would do anyday over the usual looks of contempt or as if they are totally bored or disgusted; a firm warm handshake rather than some clamy cold protusion that has five digits attached to it.(The dead fish routine) Seems that many women must/ should make more of an effort to be a 'lady' rather than just a woman who may happen to be attractive in some superficial manner. Having good looks is no insurance to get through Life with only the basics of having good manners. Being 'civilized' will.
As far as thinking about how it feels to be a woman, that is a very loaded question; should men dress up in 'drag' in order to 'get in touch with their feminine side'? Or perhaps attend Rocky Horror Film festivals and all go as their favourite female? Perhaps view several times the film "The Adventures of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert"?(if so, get the dvd with 'the extra frills edition"; it is a scream!)laugh Hey, Getting all dressed up for a Rocky Horror show in stilettos can be rather hilarious. How about going to a show with female impersonators, then go back stage with them for some 'girl talk'...Geez, I know a few and they all agree that getting all made up and dressed up as a woman is not only very sensual but "it's just sooo coool,Baby!" To each their own, I guess. All in all, a nice smile when introduced or just in general would be so nice...all women may be beautiful in many ways, but the lack of a real smile ruins it all.

RE: Normal

"Normal" is relative and as we live in a world wherein all is relative, that is quite normal...
(Besides, who in their 'right mind' would want to be 'normal' as that implies a negative state of having no mind; therefore people with a mind of their own aren't normal. They refuse to be part of a herd. If you have a mind at all, go ahead, say it loud and say it proud, "I am not normal!"laugh

RE: Worst joke you ever heard?

RE: IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE?

Where are Doctors Kildare, the raving brain surgeon (sturgeon?) Ben Crazy....I meant Ben Casey, he'd scream at the people then cut their brains open....now all we have is Doctor House...gruff, grumpy and always saves his victim at the last moment after allowing his medical team to show off how dumb and incompetent they are(doesn't say much for him though, by hiring a bunch of idiots; must be a government doctor!laugh

RE: what favorite comedian or tv show always hits the spot for you?

Years ago, it was Robin Williams until he became manically obscene like Murphy thinking comedy material can be simply replaced by frantically yelling nothing but obscene phrases. Too much.
Russell Peters is hysterically funny as he makes us see ourselves in so many ways, as did the immortal George Carlin. Loved his humour since he first recorded Class Clown.
Bill Maher is also one of my favourites as is John Cleese.

RE: Have you ever been to Tibet and what do you think of there?

All in all, quite a good response. I imagine a lot of people in the US feel exactly the same way in regards to Iraq and probably most of Europe; any place their occupation troops are, oops, I mean 'allied forces' are currently 'stationed' and most likely for the next 50 years at the very least, with one glaring exception: Vietnam. They lost by cutting and running as in Mogadishu. That makes it twice a low rated non white third world country gave them a bloody nose they could not handle.applause

RE: Happy Mother's Day To All!

Mother's Day is ok for 'normal' people, but for those of you who do not have a mother, feel free to celebrate No Pants Day,(late: was on May 1), Eat What you Want Day, May 11 or even National Dance Like A Chicken Day on May 14th!
And, if you're not too burned out, don't forget to celebrate the Cookie Monster's birthday on May 25!!laugh

Should a person compromise who they are to be with the one they love?
Does it really make any difference then if they love you, as long as you are with the one you love...just get some new ID in whatever name they want you to be...who cares!laugh

RE: Peace and joy

Sadly it is in the nature and the small minds of dishonourable people to be nasty, insulting and wish to fight with others.
They have many mental health issues and think that conflict will satisfy them, but it never does, so they keep trying. Otherwise it might be better to write in the third person's perspective.

RE: Have you found somebody you really like here?

Not that the above quote is 100% applicable to me, I find it to be unfortunately....tragically , all too true for some of the people that I'm familiar with on this site. That is such a shame, but it seems many of us find this to be all too true on a very personal basis by many who always seem to be in complete reverse of what they preach about not being judgmental of others when approached by someone 'unusual'; but then again, aren't we all 'unusual' being unique...
As for myself, perhaps, but it would be rather pointless at this point in my life in actually pursuing the possibilities. The main reason being that I gave up a long time ago and now seemingly age differences and cultural background would count for nothing, but location does and even any type of diplomatic status bars one on a no-fly list from certain countries, nor having her visit here due to very unpredictable political situations. Life is really one pile of merde after another so perhaps in another Life it will be better. All I can do is hope...this one is hopeless. We are not guaranteed to have someone in any Life and sadly, there is not a someone for everyone so we either do without or settle for whom we can get...

Horrors! And here I would have been concerned about her figure; I would insist that she buy all her lingerie at Galleries Lafayette in Paris,(and that I go with her!grin )

RE: Do you like food?

Not quita all humans like or eat what we term food.
There is a tribe in Uganda that eats dirt; a';special' dirt. It has been tested by scientists and it was found to be rather full of nutrients. However I do not think the image that people have of them rooting around like pigs digging for truffles will inspire others to go to Uganda and seek out this particular locale let alone any restaurant that some chic haute cuisine entrepreneur would set up. Just a bit too strange; after all, as we know it, food is a meal in itself...laugh

I rather like him myself although I don't agree with him over half the time, I certainly appreciate his logic. If I were a Muslim radical or/ and an Arab fanatic, I'd see him as an'Uncle Tom' to his heritage however. Take someone's perspective and turn it around and it's fascinating what one sees...Minds are a wonder in which to see the soul, provided they have a mind, of courselaugh

RE: MUSLIMS IN EUROPE

Walk the city streets from London to Paris; Madrid to the villages of Kosovo and you'll hear and see for yourself. Tragically we are headed for a nasty confrontation by many radical groups. It's going to be payback time for Europe for all their anti Arab, anti Muslim policies since the invention of Israel; certainly since the founding of the PLO and all the efforts by our puppet regimes and the US to crush Arab resistance to Israel and the cause of Palestine...a free state of Palestine. We are going to pay a heavy price for our lethargy in allowing our so called 'free and democratic' governments to unconditionally support the Zionists.
I'm only surprised that our troops have not been sent to help slaughter the Arabs alongside the Zionists . Perhaps it may come yet, after all, isn't Israel the very hallmark of Democracy and Freedom and that the Arabs and Muslems all evil and therefore our enemy as we all must support Israel without conditions and do all we can; all we must to remove any and all threats to the continued existence of the Zionists, less we be called 'anti Semitic', anti jewish; pro Arab/ Muslim terrorist ...

RE: Which song is perfect to listen while you are making love???

Pre war?? Ok, which war??

RE: DO MEN NEED ALONE TIME?

Some may feel this way, after all the so called 'me time' to them means 'no me' time and unfortunately many are too oriented to 'me, me, me'. That is a sure sign of immaturity.
If the people know each other well before they actually become a 'couple' and live together, then neither party should be surprised, disappointed or feeling sad when either one goes into 'me time' for their hobby, reflection or activities that they have done long before they met. It does not indicate by itself that their relationship is in any 'trouble' at all, depending, of course, on the circumstances. If the relationship has been good to fantastic, there is , or should not be any problems; if the relationship has been less than 'good', any new 'me time' could be taken as something defensive and therefore somewhat worrying if communication is neglected or awkward. Keeping communication open and honest is a key to a good relationship. It is vital to understand each other be it 'me time' or 'us time'....the relatioship does not, nor should have a limited amount of time; it should have all the time in the world...to grow and let love grow.
