RE: Getting along!

Well said; I couldn't agree more! However, despite the rather high level of naivety, try and remember that most on these types of threads have never been to college or university; have never even been on debating teams and have absolutely no conception of how to conduct a debate be it merely expressing opinions or countering alleged "facts"; no one really pays any attention to actual facts or their sources...and therefore cannot quote them to strengthen their own or diminish an opponents; "hitting below the belt" is all they know; personalizing every argument/ debate here is standard operating procedure and always has been. It will not change, ever.
Those of us with any type of college or university degree are in a very low minority here ; the vast majority barely made it out of their backwoods high school, if at all and yet carry on as if they actually are "intellectuals" whom they really despise out of some form of warped envy...Humour? The average level or rather depth of it is something that overflows toilets. Sarcasm just goes so far above their their little pointy heads, that it is simply exhausting to try; it takes education to appreciate sarcasm, not toiling in a junkyard or daily ritualized sterilization of their counters and sinks in the trailers of their lives, listening to ads telling them how clean their should be, or "shirts should be"...
Trying to participate in any debatable subject here, is tedious at best, hopeless at worst; the only "rule" here is "mob rule", acrimony and plain hate is the medium of expression. There are Latin names for the various types of arguments and debates but there is really no point or of any benefit to list them here, it would only fall on intellects as hungry as a herd of creodonts; primitive, small brained animals barely out of the primeval ooze, sort of the high intelligence expressed by the Morlocks in the 2 versions of the film The Time Machine...

RE: Poetry- add a line- that rhymes

While not as fun as with a Date,
I play on the beach
as a happy primate;
a blissful, demented state....

RE: Poetry- add a line- that rhymes

LOL! applying body paint, tan, of course, would be fun also, I imagine...how about light blue or mauve....why stop with tan! %D

RE: plastic surgery

lol, sounds like ad copy: NEW! IMPROVED! well, it must be one or the other..improved original or new...can't be both...%)
congratulaions on your improved ...product?

RE: plastic surgery

organic fertilizer perhaps ? %)

RE: Bring your jokes, lets have a laugh!

Some fairly general advice, may seem like a joke and may even give you a laugh at first...such as "modern men" should seriously consider marrying only an orphan woman...it'll be great! As first of all. there are never any in-law problems. Second, there are no annoying Easter or Christmas visits of you sitting around pretending to enjoy the company of a couple of sixth-generational nit-wits. In fact, when it comes to visiting her folks, the worst thing that might happen to you would be an occasional trip to a cemetery,(where the dead people live),to leave some cheap flowers you buy at a gas station, along with your wedding anniversary present, when the time comes; and you might not even have to get flowers, you could claim to have a morbid fear of graveyards, even headstones!
But most important, as the relationship may just be starting, you won't have to worry about making a good impression on the girl's parents, nor will you have to get her father's approval of yourself!
Believe me when I tell you, when you say," I hope your father will approve of me," there is no greater thrill than having your beloved "Honeybottoms" turn to you brightly and say, "My father's dead." %D

RE: I think it is about time we make some DEMANDS of our own

I noted that in the Jan 22 issue of Time Mag. page 13, that 12,000 was the estimated number of illegal immigrants apprehended at the US-Mexico border in November; 10 was the number of illegals apprehended also in November thanks to a $200,000 experimental website allowing anyone to monitor the border and alert the authorities. Viewers sent 14,800 e-mails through the site...seems the "expimental website" is more mental than not. Meanwhile, the firm contracted by the Bush Monkey House via the the Feds, are having their court hearings on further charges of hiring illegals from Mexico to built the "border-wall"....makes one wonder if the Zionists are having the same problems building their wall to stop Palestinians...any bets on who builds and finishes their wall first and how long it stays up...%D

RE: plastic surgery

Has about as much meaning as "plastic glass"....

RE: have you ever

All the time; as soon as I go out, especially downtown in any city...the streets are teeming with these creatures and events; resident aliens...catching the moment of an emigrant's life when they change to that of an immigrant.... There also seems to be a very fine line between "paranormal" and "abnormal"; especially when one becomes the other... Life is very weird......%/

RE: Which country poses the biggest threat to America?

Actually, it may be either Tristan de Cunha or Andorra; they spent about two hundred dollars on ammo and some new police pistols last year, up from $90.00 some years before...Tristan de Cunha is getting some new radar equiptment...lots of people suspect them because they can't find it...

RE: Why do Kamikaze Pilots wear Helmets?

How crude. Try reading some of the dairies of those that survived after they hit. One There are several; my favourite is "The Divine Wind" .

RE: Have you ever taken the road less traveled by?

Came to a fork in the road; left it there and went looking for the spoon or the knife; many were dead end roads way off the highways of Life; some ran out going over a cliff... victim several times over of hit and run; now I take a side road parallel to the main roads...%)

RE: Weekend suggestions: European Towns

A bit outside of Europe, there is a town in Mongolia spelled MORON, I'd like to there just because of the name ...and see if there is a high school named after the town...%D

RE: why do men lie so much (just an honest question)

ahhhh what price vanity...
Many ages ago I used to sometimes wander into a bistro or bar and worry...fear that I wouldn't fall into the wrong hands; sometimes being simply direct saves both parties a lot of potential problems:"Ummmmm, hey babe, how much?" avoiding the ubiquitous "small talk" avoids starting to lie, from either party...."You take credit cards, personal cheques or just cash..?"

RE: Name 5 movies who made you cry.....

Cry? How...to get your money back, to be let out of the theatre, tears...because the movie is soooo bad, the story dumb, stupid;etc. or in sympathy with what is happening in the story...????
I can think of several that were bad enough that people did cry out for a refund....%D

RE: Blair's Legacy

Reminds me of John Cleese in Monty Python reading off the election results from the Silly Party, the Normals Party, etc. etc. %)

RE: Riots in France..

I'd better ad a "PS" as regards Foreign Policy and the French military...the only possible and or viable use of its armed forces, the Legion notwithstanding, would be, once again in Tchad which borders Sudan. France has been obliged several times to use the Legion there against sporadic attacks by nomadic tribes in the north, then aided by Libya...Libya is no longer a problem whereas Sudan is and has been even before I was there in the early 70's. They were locked into a very bloody civil war, which still re-occurs as now; that is the spill over flash point for France to protect Tchad and its people; same on the western border with Nigeria, should civil war again break out; the other 3 countries are doing well and are prospering under the "French Commonwealth" umbrella with some rotation of combat troops in Bangui, just in case...they do not need another Emperor Bokassa...

RE: Blair's Legacy

Well, the US stooge/puppet/fool is out at long last; the ol' Queen has come begging to the Burning Bush for gas, oil and the permission to "bring the boys home" from the ruins of their old colony, part 2, leaving it in more ruins....One ray of good news and hope: The Scottish nationals will soon be able to vote on and declare their God given right to Independence from the limeys; way long over due!(or as one brother of mine who taught school there for over 20 years asked, "why can't we jes' shoot the brits like the Irish!) but anyway, England has a beautiful chance to elect a brand new Govt. and correct all the stupidities of Blair and get some self respect back over Bush dictating what British Foreign Policies should be in the Middle East; I hope they take themselves out of the target field, and accept "Arabs" as equals, not servants, while the Zionists are treated as almost sacred and holy...

RE: GERONIMO!!

The oil companies are claiming shortages despite figures to the contrary from several sources. Yet deliveries are up....so where is the gas then...trucks, tankers are being loaded and shipped to the US and "shortages" are being blamed for exorbitant prices all over....where is the gas going that is being brought in...is the Govt. and Oil companies hiding it in secret military bases...a lot of people are wondering.....

RE: Riots in France..

As France is the main inspiration for and designer of the EU, I seriously doubt that the new Govt. would threaten its own existence within the EU legal system or conventions, other than having made most members tremble when housing for the poor and destitute was declared and passed as law, a human right. Sarkozy was fed up with all the poor living on the streets and that was his way of finally ending it, unilaterally, without consultation with other EU countries. I still say Good for him, he moved France in the right direction because the bureaucracy would not move...Soon, the other members will have to also declare it and the clock is ticking in Scotland to implement a similar law within 2 years I believe...

RE: germans!!!!

Ummmm, perhaps she meant to say "no European style civilization"...

RE: The Dossier

Welcome to our own "Area 51"............. %D

RE: The Dossier

I have always imagined our ways...our paths in Life as drawing a tree and then cover the paper drawing thousands of branches; they are all the trails our ancestors have taken; we can still make our own way, but we do keep crossing paths with them don't we... our ways, our paths in life are like the branches, the twigs of a tree...

RE: Why do you persist in Bush bashing? Enlighten me USA.

I'm at a total loss as to understand why you would bother to lower yourself to their miscreant levels to argue with these primitive ordurous herd of creodonts.....it seems like wallowing in a gutter.

RE: What did you wanna be when you were a little kid???

The truth..? I had hated living in NYC and my 6thgrade teacher asked the class this question of what you wanted to be when you grow up. I told her and was then taken to the priciple who called my parents. Father came and said at least I was original , he thought it amusing, as he worked for "the company" in Langley, Virginia.
I had said to the teacher that I wanted to grow up and be the bombardier that released the Atom Bomb on New York City.....
One scientific theory has the existence of parallel worlds co-existing in a parallel dimension with parallel duplicates of each of us; if so, I do hope my double got his wish...%)

RE: what is wrong with me i think its the hippy thing

Nothing the matter with hippie chicks....as long as they bathe and are not of the types that hung around with good ol' Charly Manson! The world needs more hippies, and certainly more Love....%)

RE: The Dossier

LOLLLLLLL! Aren't families and relatives wonderful!!!!!!!!!! %D Love it!!!!!

RE: The Dossier

LOL!! %D Well, mit all the flak and assorted veggies that are occasionally thrown and hurled over some of my opinions, I thought I'd better dress properly...and as for "inquisitor" well, if so, then I must come by it naturally as one of my relatives was the Grand Inquisitor of Europe, but leaving Spain to Torquemada and his lovely boys and girls...
I see that Waterdragon has turned "dossier" into a verb...interesting, conjugating it is a strange.....oh well , must be entropy....%D
Scary???? nawwwww.......not me.......

RE: germans!!!!

You're perfectly correct, in that I do not doubt for a minute that any of our ancestors who left and went wherever, ever thought for a second that their world would ever change, nor that one day, in some vague haze of a future, their heirs would "pay" for their possible good intentions to seek out their dreams...hey, at least you do not need a UN issued Stateless Pass to live in a country for a specified time and than have to leave...not fun!

RE: Imagine what would be ...if we all stand up and say no...

One day soon there just might be some pounding on your door and thousands of others and as you look out the window holes that the teargas canisters made, you may glimpse those guys in the white coats, behind the swat teams ready to charge you when you open the door, or try to nab you as you exit a window and jump...not fun, been there, done that several times; actually, it started to get rather boring...
Some of the posts have made me wonder about what has become of one of the most outspoken social critics of the entire "Burning Bush" evangelical need for war against the world, Micheal Moore and his old People's Democratic Republic of Television that he had on TV as "The Awful Truth"...I wonder if the alleged threats from the monkey house...white house, about putting him through tax audits and making it hard for him to work anymore, have been carried out. Moore's latest project about the total fraud of the US "health system" is, as far as I know, finished...where is it...where is Michael Moore, to further expose Bush and his cabal...with wit, humour and deadly sarcasm...I miss him...
