RE: Colonel Sanders....

LOL!!! Love the idea of the Fig-leaf...instant salad, then dessert!
But, yes, it is really hard at times not to become stressed out over these crimes that are being carried out. I'm reminded of the phrase "carbon-infestation" of the planet, meaning Humankind from the first Star Trek movie...and others with similar lines; the human plague...it is disgusting, frightening and yet unifying in that most of us will overcome our many differences to solve the many problems we do all share of and on our planet. It is, the only one we have.
Now, back to my salad, then dessert...I wish! %D

RE: Colonel Sanders....

Bitter Harvest is excellent, no matter how old; it really should be up-dated, and put on the air...but now that even PBS is being subjected to pressures by ad hoc govt. groups over content...will they become just another tool for propaganda broadcasting by "Corporate America" and their paid-off local, state and federal government stooges....it's a small miracle that An Inconvenient Truth has gotten out...or perhaps the corporate polluters have found another cynical way of securing your tax dollars to fund so called anti-polluting technologies, that will never work, except in filling their pockets....while you...and even their families bury each other from deaths due to....foods, pollutions, etc. to what end are tall these profits going to, going for...fancy customized coffins for those criminals...??????????

RE: Colonel Sanders....

Currently commercialized GM crops in the US:
Soy(85%), cotton(77%),corn(45%), Hawaiian Papaya(over 50%), zucchini and yellow squash and , naturally tobacco, unknown at present...
Other sources of GMOs: Meat, eggs and dairy products from animals that have been fed GM feed' most dairy products from cows injected with rbGH, food additives, enzymes, flavourings, and processing agents, including the sweetener aspartame(Nutra Sweet) and rennet used to make hard cheeses. Honey and Bee pollen. Some of the ingredients that may be genetically modified: vegetable oils(soy, corn, cottonseed and canola of other brands, margarines, soy flour, soy protein, soy lecithin, textured vegetable protein, cornmeal, corn syrup, dextrose, maltodextrin, fructose, citric acid and lactic acids of the major food processors and companies.
Suspected foods infected with GM ingredients that in some cases are producing DNA changes in both animal and humans: Infant formula, salad dressings, breads, cereals, hamburgers and hotdogs, mayonnaise, crackers, cookies, chocolate, candy, fried foods, chips, veggie burgers, meat substitues, ice creams, frozen yogurt, tofu, tamari, soy sauce and cheese, tomato sauce, protein powder, baking powder, alcohol, vanilla, powdered sugar, peanut butter, enriched flour and pastas.
Non-food items include cosmetics, soaps, detergents, shampoo, and bubble bath; notice how many are "child oriented"..... YUK! All these GMos are now banned from our foods in Europe. MacDonald's was told to stop or close up and leave...so far, they are complying with our health rules, mainly thanks to France .%)

RE: Colonel Sanders....

Here is the name; it is by far not the only one, but this one has seen a lot of use throughtout Europe, especially by schools and lawyers for the EU laws on imported foods from the US.: "Hidden Dangers In Kid's Meals: Genetically engineered Foods " copywrited by 2005Yes Books, wwwGM Free Schools.org

As these corporations seem to be waging a type of war on their own people, maybe it would be to your advantage to do something to close them down....like, why wage wars against other countries, when your own is out to poison you, control you run your entire life from cradle to grave and if you can't afford proper health care, to let you rot and your children of the multiple tumours their foods are causing and spreading.....all this reminds me of some of the dialogues in the movie Soilent Green, yes, with good ol' Charleston Heston, raving about that the human crackers will have to be pried from his cold dead hands or something..... Bomb a corporation, not some poor peasants house in a third world country.....%D

RE: Colonel Sanders....

And now you have the "benefits" of "genetically enhanced" foods for your convenience! Thanks , especially to Monsanto your basic vegetables are "infected" with all sorts of genetic enhancements, even the feed used for animals that go to your fast-meal places. Here in Europe all this has been outlawed and banned. Monsanto has a number of lobbyists on Capital Hill to make sure no laws are passed or even tabled against them or those other corporations that are genetically altering your foods. In Europe there are several excellent documentaries dealing with this, and especially Monsanto corporation....while in the US, they are preventing the airing of many of these shows...even on PBS...most complaints by farmers and livestock ranchers in the US are complaining of the pressures put on them to , not only plant and feed their "products" but are being threatened if they make their complaints public. Parents groups and some schools are trying to ban these foods but are being litigated into bankruptcy by the firms and meanwhile, the tumours are growing, behaviors are being "modified"...ahhhh, the blessings of "corporate america"...friends of the State, enemies of the people.....

RE: The End is Nigh

There is currently a theory developed by former CIA, State and other Fed. agencies that the entire 9-11 scenario was most likely "an inside job" and the reason is "Peak-Oil": the world is at the end of the oil resources and the wells will be going dry much sooner than anticipated or calculated. Seems the latest calculations are more than 20 years off and acquire the greatest reserves possible which are in not only Iraq but Iran and Saudi Arabia also. A plan had to be formulated to secure these reserves by "boots on the ground" and quickly.
For very specific interviews with many of the real analysts and the real experts from the many departments of the CIA and other intelligence gathering agencies see the documentary DVD :"Uncovered: the Whole Truth about the Iraq War via The Disinformation Company Ltd. 163 Third Ave. Suite 108 New York, NY 10003 and the truly devastating book with DVD Towers Of Deception The Media Cover-Up of 9-11 by Barrie Zwicker. This is the "meat and potatoes" of the entire deception for war. In short, it is also a detailed indictment for the entire Bush-Channey-Rice gang for real War Crimes, not only against your own people but also against the entire world, Combined, these are graphic indictments and very specific. Zwicker's boog with DVD is from New Society Publishers

RE: Essential angers of the superfluous (or inversely)...

Well said. Unfortunately, thanks to media exposure, there seems to be an increase on the types that would seek to bring us, all of us and our planet harm. There seems to be an increasing amount of the types personified by General Jack Ripper in the movie Dr. Strangelove and certainly of those with attitudes like Major T.J. "King" Kong, who, with joyous abandon rides the atom bomb down to blow-up the planet. Those attitudes, that type of mind(less) set seems to be spreading like a virus. Which "light" will we see...the light of "a thousand suns" or the Light of "the Bright Side"; I'd prefer it to be as Monty Python put it: Always look On The Bright Side Of Life. I would hope that we never have to see the nuclear light... just a thought.

No one seems to be allowed to or they may not feel welcome to...only trivialities of absolute moronic interests get posted here and answered by and in incomprehensible, badly spelled gibberish by someone suffering from severe senility and or alzheimers. Why do you think so many come and leave here...all the threads are , it seems "monitored" by a clique perhaps that seeks to dominate all replies...others have said the same, and so it stays very small and dull, uninteresting and banal...

RE: your favourite writer Poet or Philosoph

Another favourite writer is the American, Gore Vidal, be it fiction, non-fiction or plays/ movie scripts. Noam Chomsky, on world social problems, Capra and others.
Poets? Francois Villon, Beaudlaire, Poe; Voltaire und Moliere for humour and sarcasm dripping with elegance and absolute decadence!
"Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality!"
Jules de Gaultier %)

Check your threads on the Int. Forums, you are quite popular there; this site is much too stodgy, too staid, to appreciate you, I think

Love A Fish Named Wanda!, one of my favourites...

Student to gym teacher: "My plastic surgeon doesn't want me to do any sports that may have balls fly near my face."
another student whispers loudly: "Well, there goes her social life.."

" It doesn't say RSVP on the Statue Of Liberty!"
both from the insane movie "Clueless"

RE: Male mini skirt dilemma

Hey, Hiya Babes!! Nice to see ya too!!

RE: Male mini skirt dilemma

Had a male teacher in one school in Wash.DC,he was so fed-up with all the girls wearing minis and many sat in the first row, he showed up one day in one to get the(his?) point across about minis being "distracting" . Of course this caused a sensation and spread through the school...by lunch time he was actually taken away by the police "for questioning". All his classes were dismissed for the day.
He was put on a 2 day suspension; the school board overturned it; he came back, went to the principle's office. She had a nervous breakdown and she was taken away. He returned to class; next day, all the girls that wore minis had relocated to the rear of the room. He had made his point. And yes, he returned to wearing pants and sneakers but as a joke he kept one foot in a knee-high stocking, just in case as when anyone asked him if he liked the experience of weraring a skirt....%D

RE: G'morning! Has anyone ever made you breakfast in bed?

My wife and I tried for each other, but all the plates, bowls, batters, bread, sauges etc. all over the bed was just too messy...but I loved it when she just served herself as my breakfast, with leggs sunny side up......

RE: Male mini skirt dilemma

Ha! I remember that twice, between the late 60's and the 80's, that some British designers tried to promote dresses and skirts for men, then afterwards, men's pantyhose. How absurd; everyone knows that men who like to wear skirts and dresses, go in for the "real thing" meaning actual women's clothing...as always depicted on Monty Python episodes....try going to the next Rocky Horror Film Fest and you can see for yourself!
Fashions...why hasn't "designer loincloths" come out and into vogue yet...just think of the tantalizing possibilities! Nieman Marcus stores could seel them for thousands...made from all manner of decadent fabrics and laces... encrusted with jewels...to hide "the family jewels"! %)

RE: your favourite writer Poet or Philosoph

I love Umberto Eco! I have most of his books; the novels and his collected essays; absolutely a delight to read!
The only novel I just felt "let down" by was "Foucault's Pendulum"; so far his "Misreadings" , to me, are the best...well, actually, I don't know which of his collections of essays I like best...they're all great!

RE: Male mini skirt dilemma

I think that for women to fully appreciate "the male dilemma" of the mini skirt, men should wear them; would they like what they see...would they be "uncomfortable", or would they go into either hysteria or hysterical laughter ??Women seem to "appreciate Scotsmen in kilts...just more room and a wee longer than a mini......%)
