RE: what era would you like to live in??

WHOA!!!!!! I was going to say virtually the same...I've just finished a dozen or so books on ancient Sumaria, and now my curiosity is peaked about all the ancient ruins and srtifacts that archiologists have found and the tablets that have been translated fro Mankind's first known language going back more than 40 thousand yeras by their list of Kings...I'd love to see it all, as it was...the Middle Ages of the Knights, especially the military orders, the Crusades...the Napoleonic Age...the battles, the burning of Moscow, the retreat, right up to Waterloo.....and so many others....its virtually impossible to list all....Nothing in the 20th century for sure...I need a Time Displacement Machine!!!!!!!

RE: Can You Accept A Person For Who They Are?

Lionhearted....you are sounding like virtually everyman's ultimate fantasy...and, yes, at the same time, you look just gorgeous also, but that you alreay have known...but in saying what you have and how, really should enshrine you to men everywhere for as you well know most women pay only lip service to those matters; shallowness of character and emptyness of soul is usually what men eventually see in many women as is visa versa..but I'll bet you, the majority of men would agree with me, that you would be speaking for their ideal woman that we all whave wished to find...even some of us who have given up.
Your posts are always insightful and delightful to read and think over. :) What a woman!

RE: What would you like to do, beeing the other gender?

" I could never be a woman, cos I'd just stay home and play with my breasts all day." Steve Martin/ L.A. Story
and the opposite of what Miss Mel said...that might be "an insight"...:)

RE: Is it what’s inside that counts - or is everyone really looking for someone beautiful?

RE: Quote for today !

All wives need plastic surgery; cut up their credit cards.

RE: Good looking men and ther insecurities

While in the ER a few days ago, I heard this from the patient next to me ,speaking to the nurse,"I can only be friends with girls who are uglier than me. I hate competition.".....the "Beautiful People"....right...sickos.

RE: Are some men really afraid of rejection?

Star!!! :))) oh you wickedly observant creature! :))) You can bet yo' sweet life many are for a lot of reasons, especially the pleasurable ones...LOLtoo many get so riled up, hot an' bothered that many are finished before they can even get their caps or boots or ties off....and the poor girl....well it must be equally as ego deflating as it is for the male...but to the concept of ReJection; I like what tliehr said about looking through those damn glasses of rejection and so expecting it that ir becomes self perpetuating into a never ending cycle; she is a hundred per cent correct...I got tired of it and just simply gave up in that department; it simply became too much and when the cycle was recognized and what it was doing just became a stronger reason to back off and give up. I could not get around it. That simple. but back to you , whatch doin' on 'ere...who'd ever ree-ject such a charmin; woman like yo'self?! :))) OOOUUUU what was that ol' Little Righard song...She's Got IT, oh Baby, she's got it! :)always liked that song....:)

RE: REFRESH!!!

RE: Are some men really afraid of rejection?

Everyone, male or female have the same fears, hopes and dreams as far as any "Romance" in their lives are concerned. The only differences are in the outward manner we all deal with rejection. Interanaly, it is the same pains and doubts. It is very hard for us to actually relate to that between males and females; no one can "get inside" our respective heads to feel those emotions, which is a shame, then all our doubts and concerns would be known and how we affect each other and then perhaps all our "games" would end....who really knows.
The only people that I can think of that would have no fears of rejection would be the mentally incapacitated and the "rich". Why the Rich/ wealthy? They have their money that can and does buy anyone they want, for as long as they want; most everyone has their price and the rich know it...no one turns down cold hard cash, if enough is offered; the positive aspects of the price are far too many to be taken with a cavalier disregard. No big deal, and no "moral barrier" too high that cash can't lower. The Rich are insulated from rejection and they really don't care about anything or anyone other than to satisfy their "I want it right NOW!" egos. C'est vie....

RE: wot should?

LOL! damn trailers, betcha they left the wheels on it...:)

RE: I-ching

Try for it by "Googling" type it in and hit the Enter, you'll get lots of pages....:)

RE: where you should go

Anywhere but some ol' shed outback or corn crib...an island way down south would be nice...Dominican Republic, Martinique, etc. etc. :)

RE: Happy Holidays OR Merry Christmas? Why must we choose?

I tend, for myself, to agree with Tech and try to pass it all off with the "Bah, Humbug" altitude...it's a time when far too many old memories come-a-haunting and with 2 kids I can't afford to crawl into a dumpster with several nice bottles of my favourite entertaiment and close the lid til this "happy holiday season" is over with...bah!

RE: This could be fun lol

"He that lives upon hope will die fasting."
Benjamin Franklin, Poor Richard's Almanack
Here's hoping that alls well and ends well! :)

RE: LETS GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE SOLDIERS AT WAR!

Cheer up Arabella; as long as there is one war going on anywhere on our planet, it is not our day in the great sense of "geo-politics...there hasn't been a single day without war somewhere since may 1945 which was the "end of WW2...it has just spread like a rampaging virus in all manner of forms. At different times it leaves certain places and peoples alone..but at some point it will come back or finally strike hard.... As the ol' cynics say, War is "an equal opportunity" employer, entertainer, victimizer, etc. etc. all rolled into one. Everyone will have their own particular version of "Apocalypse Now!" sooner or later we all should be used to it by now; it is so many things to so many different people except for one...it just is not obscene enough to ban from our world; to break its practitioners, its suppliers or its players...everyone buries their head and recites :not in my backyard" and keeps their fingers crossed. In the meantime, party on!

RE: Happy Holidays OR Merry Christmas? Why must we choose?

lol...next time anyone is in Wash. DC, take a tour of the US Supreme Court especially, and gaze upon all the religious murals, carvings and paintings everywhere! including in the Judge's chambers and especially where the verdicts are handed down.....

RE: Drugs and alcohol ,

Sort of...if you can remember their name....:)

RE: LETS GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE SOLDIERS AT WAR!

Would that also include the Oil companies that helped send them to war???

RE: Happy Holidays OR Merry Christmas? Why must we choose?

Saying Happy Holidays is considered being "politically correct" by those who wish to be :with it" It does not offend anyone but the Christians and they do not matter, after all the majority of the US-Canadian populations are mostly Christian people of different sects and those who want, need to remove any link to Christ from any Christian Holiday, have the right to do so...in a secular State, God, let alone Christ by name especially, has no legal right to anything sanctioned by the State. The Old Testament of "Yaweh" is ok to ve around in various representations, but the name is not to be mentioned in public either. As most Christians, whether of any Protestant or Catholic denomination is insulted by this and the taking of Christ out of any function or heritage, or customs is termed as "progressive" and even "patriotic",is irrelevent. Christians do not matter; the heritage and teachings of Christ do not matter,( when was the last time any President of the US evern uttered the name of Christ in public or swore an oath to anything other than some nameless, vague "God"? Never, and you never will.)Minorities here have the right to impose their wishes and customs upon the majority...the full meaning of "democracy": mob-rule, which is always a minority. Now the language of many pronouncements and court decisions regarding "religious issues" are using terminology and concepts that are clearly implying that if a person(Christian) objects to the illimination, banning, suspending, outlawing and actually erradicating anything to do with Christ from any and all phases of life in your country, you are"unpatriotic" and, of course, we all know that is ohhh sooo politically incorrect...and we don't ever want to be that do we....why, what will our neighbors think! Heavens to Murgatroid!!I put a lot of this in "tongue-in-cheek" style, hopefully the irony will be recognized as such as well as the "general" as opposed to the individual; certainly in no way regarding anyone here as many of you have over time have written your strong objections to this "de-Christianizing" of Christmas with which I fully agree with; just thought I'd put a little "twist" on it.

RE: Are we a good match? I think we are, how about you? LOL

Martha Stewart, that's who; is it or isn't a "good thing"...?? :)

RE: Are we a good match? I think we are, how about you? LOL

Julia Roberts once said "I'm too tall to be a girl. I'm between a chick and a broad."..."It's better to have loved a short man than never to have loved a tall..."
As for your match, hey, at least he's taller than a lumberjack on a mushroom farm...:) Enjoy each other!! :)

RE: RainbowSlider Roy

I wholeheartedly agree with what Sincerety said about keeping it off the forums if someone is lucky enough to find someone on here.
Many of us have seen this happen over and over and over again....it has been the cause of more fights, arcrimonious back-biting and even out rights threats on these forums. Can't anyone control their feeling great and I/ we want -to-tell-the-world emotions?? Be discreet about it...keep it private if things work out in a "reasonable" amount of time, fine, then make an anouncement and tell everyone, without any risk for creating a new heartbreaking war and bad feelings. Be discreet should be "the rule of thumb".

RE: what if your dream match was right in front of you,how would you know

OOps...that is Monty Python....I can't see straight, I hate taking medicine,,,,:)

RE: what if your dream match was right in front of you,how would you know

For starters, she'd have to LOVE Monty Puthon and their "meanings of Life"...:))))

RE: Should People with body odor be allowed to board a plane ,bus or any other enclosed space?

Let them take the scenic seats..outside, please! if on a plane or the top open deck on a bus..or laking one, lash 'em to the roof like they do with animals in South America...

RE: What made you mad today?

Geez, and I thought I was having a "bad moring"; not after reading some of these; some sound as if they're shopping lists for miserable problems. Well, those are mostly emotional but the pains they cause, I can only offer my sympathy, as I have to consume pain killers, yuck! :)

RE: Whats your favorate island in the Carribean?

Dominican Republic side of Hispaniola, Domminica, Martinique,Guadeloupe and one tiny one called Hell...:)

RE: Do Guys Want Women To Email Them??

ahh well, the sign keeps saying that even the best sites have technical difficulties....
Starlite..lol...I'd send some but to people I don't know?!
Hey, I really don't relish the thought that I may cause some poor woman to lose her meal........or send her screaming into the night...:)

RE: i wanna know why i cant find a girl friend

I agree absolutely with Celine, start off with a better screen name; "plasticman" makes you sound totally artificial, someone not real, cheap as plastic is, it conjures up too many negatives even on a subconscious level;same dilemas as ad people have...how does a name afeect people subconsciously....find one closer to the real you, your favourite whatever....
