RE: Don't any ladies like a man who can cook anymore?

LOL!! All the burger palaces and other fast food places, the cooks do waer aprons while at the stove/ grill, even the guys and girls at the local Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream places,,ther it tends to get a bit chilly handling all those balls,(ice cream) and putting them into cones...(for licking) LOLLL !!

RE: Cruising the cemetaries for chicks

Oops, I meant to say, talking dolls...some now come with sound effects also.....:) LOL

RE: Favorite Forum Post Quote

This would take time to find THE most hilarious, so in the meantime, just put down "a lot of the quips from Cute" as my favourites, with Lionhearted running a close second.:))

RE: Cruising the cemetaries for chicks

ha! Mine is but a myth...I don't believe in it. I can't imagine how I have 2 children; spontaneous combustion...??

RE: Cruising the cemetaries for chicks

I once lived near a cemetary and they built cheap pine coffins for the indegent. I got several from them to use as bookcases...used one for a boat to go down a small river...:)

RE: soapbox time

I agree! How could anyone write such drivel about Cute and cast such loathsome aspersions upon her personage! Oh, the foulness of it all! Must have been some extremist from the Salvation Army! Cute, we all loves ya! :)

RE: Saturday Night And I Ain't Got Nobody.....

Well, if ya can't sing it, then we can watch it, it's a hilarious movie....love the evil boss, played by Dabney Coleman...:)

RE: wher are all of the nice and caring woman

Lol! By the way, has anyone put out an APB on these nice and caring women, er this woman, as it is in the singular person..gee, just one woman...that many..?? lol Oh God, help us.....:))

RE: How Many are actually Who They Say They Are?

There was a 20/20 news doc. just recently on a woman that dressed and passed herself off as a man for weeks. It also included hitting on women in bars etc. (that is trying to get some "action" out of them , not literally hitting then as some Joe Sixpacks do). Anyway, she came away with a whole new understanding of men and especially how hard it is for them to meet and even talk to the women in so many public places as bars, pubs, etc. She found the women stand-offisf, rudr, and dumb and actually sympathized with the complaints of men....it certainly raises a lot of questions as to who we are really and what are we really about...
I'm still trying to sort out who I am; I found another old passport with a name on it that I don't even remember using, with my photo...a "stateless UN pass" of travel fro the late 70's...I used to have about 6 passports, all with different I.D's; the most problematic was the Japanese one I was issued with with my Officer telling me to make up a good story if I'm ever stopped and questioned...; it was all they had at the moment...life can get really weird sometimes, and then my daughter finds another one and asks me who am I...is -----our real name?? :)) kids...:)

RE: women

When I had it 24/7 I loved it; it felt so alive! When the times had to be divided and I left one job, I never took it as a "second job" in comming home and taking care of our children; it was always a cherished time, very limited, never to come again. I looked at it all rather differently than most, it had always been something I wanted. Just a shame it had to end....

RE: Hit me with some Poetry

Graci, Bella donna...I'm flattered...:)
Quantum placui tibi?
Movitne terra, ut ita dicam??? :))
Quo signo nata est? Apudne te vel me???? :)))))))))))
Thank you, for the nice compliment...I think...:)

RE: Hit me with some Poetry

Hey, not bad, Dammit....
Roses are red,
Violets are are blue,
I'm schizophrenic
And so am I.
Ah, poetry...it is to prose as dancing is to walking;
I recently bought a book on Modern free Verse---for 10 dollars...ummmm;
if there is no money in poetry, neither is there any poetry in money......writing "free verse" is like playing baseball without any bases. I finally gave up on new poetry some years ago, when most of it started to read like coded messages passing between lonely aliens on a hostile world, and nobody knows a poet until he's dead..:)

RE: Committed to be committed

My thoughts exactly! :) When I first read the topic name, that is what came to my mind...catch ya later, there are people with butterfly nets comming up my driveway....:)

RE: What would you do if....

Allen...have you watching Shawn of the Dead again...and the 2 versions of Dawn of the Dead....:) Try Attack Of The Killer Tomatos, perhaps! lol.....

RE: Ladies, How would you like to marry a man for his money?

Love....real love does seem too much to ask for, let alone expect...I've know more than just several women who had their chance to marry for money and they did, and got a great life out of it; in a few, real love actually developed and grew and over time , with children. Usually, however one or both must seek a lover; that is the unfortunate, sometimes unpallatable truth. Normally it is the male who has the money, but at times, it is women and if the chance came up,( or rather had, years ago) would I have done so, or would now, more than likely IF I had something to give her in return that would satisfy her; otherwise, I doubt it. It should be based on an open agreed upon "exchange" that both find fair....and "profitable" in some mutual way.

RE: Tell me about your pets.

We have 2 cats, Ballerina de la Minuette and Celeste, Ballerina is a long haired Tabby, black and tan; looks more like a racoon; Celeste is a short hair B&W about 8 years old.
We love cats. The best times that I had them was when I lived in southern Maryland and out of 89, 15 were "house-trained" It was a riot when they would run and chase each other up and down 3 floors. All had names, including "tribal name", in trying to keep track of who's was whose parents....I named them after cocktails, Cities, Battles, Vegetables, bizarre items...I initially started off with Vodka and Martini; others were Mint-Julip, Gin-Fizz, Rum Bun, Limabean, Borodino, Loincloth and his son Cheesecloth( never did get to Washcloth), Gardy-Vous, Fig-leaf, Caligula, Bouti-Q, Tuti-Fruty...ah well. It was nice to wake up with a dozen cats on your bed during the winters and see them all on their backs like a pride of mini lions sleeping in the sun near the boxwood in the summer with all their feet up in the air. Lots of pleasure and I still miss them.:)

RE: Tell the most interesting/odd thing you ever saw.

While on required guard-duty at our base in Bonifacio, Corsica, at about 2am, a few of us observed 2 objects comming in low over the sea lit up like Christmas trees, zig-zagging across each other. As they came closer one officer merely said "les soucoups.." (saucers); they rose in height, beside each other and just silently sailed over us at about several hundred feet up. I yelled out "Hey, you take me with you!" The senoir officer picking himself up, as he had hit the ground, said if they turned around, he'd shoot me...I retorted that if they did, hed go in his pants and the others laughed...It was fairly usual to see them "cavorting around" that area of the Mediterranean, usually flying in from the North African coast...it was enthrawling, exhilarating...it was cool! WEEEEEEEE! :)

RE: Queen For A Day

Arabella, I love your new pic. Fantastic!! You have made my day!! :)))))) It's a wonder CS let you put it up!:))

RE: Ladies, How would you like to marry a man for his money?

"Creepy" it may be, but it is the way of the world. Love is a 5 letter word...M O N E Y $$$
While it is perfectly true that one cannot buy Love, it is very true that at the very least you can rent it for various lenths of time; yes it is sad and disgusting, but it's the only way that works all the time...without fail.

RE: What Is Missing Here And Other Sites

We could have a contest as to who has the most unpopular views and beliefs, but who would be qualified to judge...ouch! there is that opinionated concept again..."judge"; a concept well imprisoned in very personalized boxes.....
It is dangerous to play "the Devil's advocate" as one may end up too cynical and socially devoid and defunct.
There are no barns for the black sheep to come in from out of the storms of Life....

RE: Saved Christians(all Denominations) waiting to be "equally yoked"-

When I first came across that phrase of being "yoked", I immediatly thought of teams of oxen, or cattle...I still don't like it; we are not cattle or oxen, well, perhaps most...it is a hoorible translation and an even more disturbing picture in the mind of couples going around wearing a yoke; oh, it has been explained to me that it is an allegory, but it and many other rather bizarre phrases from the Old Testament, still doesn't "sit-right". I still think that it and many others need to go back for re-translations after going through Greek, Aramaic, Akkadian,Babylonian and finally to the root language of ancient Sumerian, as in the end, most of the Old Testament had its origins there and as we all know, a hell of a lot "gets lost in the translations"and today there are only a handful of language experts that know most, if not all of the "Biblical languages" and only one who is writing any books on all the mis translations and in many cases totally wrong misunderstandings. But whatever, I still don't like comparisons to cattle or oxen; humans are more than that....in most cases...we hope...:)

RE: pagens for tolerence

In all Western countries we have "freedom of religion" which conversely implies freedom from religion...but then again many turn that into another religion...geez and even the old pagans had their Gods; none that I know of had none.:)

RE: Saved Christians(all Denominations) waiting to be "equally yoked"-

LOL..I love your very last line! :) Very Good!
In having drifted in and out of several sites, other than those specifically designated as "Christian" for other Christians, regardless of denomination, most have "Christian threads/ posts? of some sort and everyone seems to respect them, much more than here, others leave them alone without hi-jacking, trying to provoke or attack them; perhaps they have a better grasp on the meaning of being tolerant; I don't know but I'm not bothered by them unless someone goes on a tyrade burning and bursting with "fire and brimstone" for all who are not of their own peculiar sect, which is certainly not the case here by any stretch of the imagination, just someone trying to consider doing a good deed as they see it for the benefit of those who put their name to a list, voluntarily without any cohersion. Nothing wrong or objectional to that surely.
I read in another post that you were thinking of quitting or words to that effect...I hope not...don't you dare quit, you fit in here quite nicely and certainly have a different perspective on things; I loathe conformists and closed minded intolerant bigots of any ilk or clique; they are so Boring. We need the diversity for many reasons, so you stay with us, don't you dare leave! :)

RE: Saved Christians(all Denominations) waiting to be "equally yoked"-

To paraphrase the author Laurence J. Peter, that simply going to church doesn't make anyone a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you a car, you do have to take the car in periodically for a check-up to make sure all is in working order; it doesn't hut anyone to go in for a "check-up" in a church, Temple or Synagogue either...even if for just a moment of peace and quiet from everything....even ourselves...:)

RE: What Do You Think Future Toys Will Be Like??

Sigh...you are right...children are always, it seems, the first "targets"; they have to be "politicized", they mustn't be allowed to be children and have the "happy-care free" enjoyments ....oh, what a shame....

RE: When you eat , do you make vocal noises? mmmmmn

Vocal??? as in using your vocal chords,,,yes, actually, now that you bring it up; I imitate the sounds of the creature I'm so enjoying; old tribal custom to honour it and aquire some of it's best characteristics...gee, I thought everyone did this......no?? :)

RE: In their profiles, a lot of men say they like to Dine out-

LOL...darn it all, an' here I thought it was just taking your dinner plates outside and eatin' by the corn crib...:)

RE: Anyone for fancy dress...? :OP
