RE: Men...What does your perfect woman look like?

A mind that needs to laugh
A face that needs to be stroked,
Lips that need to be kissed
A heart that needs to be cherished and nurtured

The beauty of the heart
is the lasting beauty:
its lips give to drink
of the water of life.

Truly it is the water,
that which pours,
and the one who drinks.
All three become one when
your talisman is shattered.
That oneness you can't know
by reasoning.

Then I open my eyes
and you are across the table from me
With that look that tells me
you love me, and always will.

RE: When A Woman Is Angry....(Question for the Men)

tell her to put the scissors down and step away from my closet!!!

I would guess that the object of her anger would be either apparent or me!
If it wasnt either (surprising though it may be), then there is nothing you can do, until she calms down and wants to talk about it.

If it was me that caused the ire, then get on your hands and knees as quickly as possible, through yourself on her mercy, beg forgiveness, and prostrate yourself in the vain hope that the small amount of humour will lighten the mood enough to find out that thoughtless sin that I had committed.
If that doesnt work thenthe knife through the chest is easier to deal with than the silence ...

grin

Chocolate is better than your love

Well I am touring the chocolate fleshpots of Europe.
First Switzerland, then a couple of visits to Amsterdam kiss and now I am in the Middle of the UK where the UK chocolate industry is based.

Amsterdam has a choco shop called Puccinis and they make the most divine chocky!!! ... and a couple of other very delightful distractions.

I had to leave this burgeoning conversation a little early, as the thought of a happy sweet Irish girl (or any happy sweet girl) smothered in 34 degC (93 degF) warm chocolate would have distracted me further from my homework and studies.

I am on a training course for a new job. Currently staying in a nice hotel, and having almost all my needs catered for!!!

Apart from ... yep .... any happy sweet girl smothered in 34 degC (93 degF) warm chocolate

we all have a cross to bear!

yay

Chocolate is better than your love

[wipes coffee off chin after dribbling all down front of shirt]

I may????? May I????
OMFG!!!

I am on my way .... you ARE a very sweet, happy Irish girl ... damn!!Need more chocolate.

Chocolate is better than your love

Lucky you!! I dont eat chocolate as a rule. So, you can just indulge yourself shamelessly!!!

Chocolate is better than your love

Well this is true ... a sweet happy Irish girl ... better than a pissed off, murderous one ...

Yeah .. you made your point ... Just give you the chocolate and no one gets hurt?grin

Chocolate is better than your love

Well of course ...

who with??? You want me to put in a good word?

Chocolate is better than your love

I said better .. I didnt say necessary .... kiss

Chocolate is better than your love

Coffee.... Chocolate.... Women ....
Some things are just better when they're rich!grin

Chocolate is better than your love

Fine chocolate can actually help lower your cholesterol.

Damn postman!!! I am sure the little sod has eaten them.

Looks like I will have to go back to Amsterdam to get some more, and this time post them from the UK .... grin

Chocolate is better than your love

Facts about chocolate.
Bear in mind, that "Fine chocolate" is defined as anything over 70%+ cocoa ...

At certain times of a woman's monthly cycle her body craves magnesium - fine chocolate has a high magnesium count.

Chocolate melts at 34°C, just below body temperature, it therefore melts immediately when it is placed in the mouth.

Chocolate contains phenylethylamine, an amino acid which has aphrodisiac properties and is also good for helping to ease a hangover.

The best cocoa comes from Criollo beans. These used to be the main source of cocoa but they now only represent 4% of world production. The Chocolate Society sells a bar made from pure Criollo beans.

YES!! There is a chocolate society!!!

RE: Not willing to rush

[wipes dribble off the monitor, coffee off the ceiling, and gets up off the floor]

Well, it his way of giving you an "in".
I would say that his male ego is even more fragile than the majority of men. He wants to retain his pride at being rejected, but at the same time;
1) he wants to see you again, but doesnt seem to be very communicative (or have much understanding of patience)
and/or
2) he wants a b'day present

Unlikely to be number 2

I think another chat would be in order before the b'day to see if he really understands your point of view.

We men do tend to overlook a woman's conversational needs by replacing what you say with what we hear!

RE: Legless Turtle

OMFG! doh

RE: Amish school shooting

Welcome to the forums.
Thanks for posting.

A gun is a weapon. Nothing more, nothing less. It can be used as a hammer, but then so can a 4 inch stilleto heel.

A knife (generally) will have another use, so will sticks, clubs, sickles, and the host of other "violent" objects.

we had an instance of this in the UK, where a guy called Michael Ryan literally shot up a small town called Hungerford in the south of the UK.

Armed with a Kalashnikov rifle and a Beretta pistol, Michael Ryan rampaged through the streets of Hungerford shooting 17 people

He was in a reputable gun club, and was a respected member of the community. No one really knows why he did it. Although he was recently unemployed, he had no history of depression.

He bought his guns off the internet.
They were delivered to the Republic of Ireland, and he collected them from there.

Regulating gun purchases will be almost impossible as the advent of the internet will allow cross country purchases to remain unchecked.

Even licensed gun owners are still killing people.

There is no real solution, as banning all guns would be untenable and impractical. You get rid of guns, and something would replace it.

It would be a nice idea, but reality is different. It will be left to this Amish-killer and Michael Ryan to prove that guns are dangerous.

RE: Amish school shooting

Switzerland's gun crime rate is almost nil.

Good job too, all the men between 18-45 have their automatic rifles in their closet, and they cycle the streets with them on their back.

RE: wearing pjs

^^^^^

The other hand is doing ..... ????

I sleep in the buff if I am in bed, or I have a great pair of Thai fisherman's trousers that are cool for sleeping on the couch

RE: nosy thread

Thanks Yami.

But after the training course, I return back south.

However I regularly will be on the move around the UK so, I will mail you and hold you to it. It will have to be a coffee, as I dont drink that much.

My body is a temple ... I just keep forgetting to pray!!

RE: Who's the one person who is always there for you?

I have one very old friend, and two relatively new ones ...

I count myself a very lucky person.yay

RE: Broken heart

I wasnt accusing you of being spiteful, angry or intending to make V. look bad. It is obvious that you harbour deep feelings for her, and I was not questioning your motives.

I was questioning the thread.

I guess if my relationship broke down, I would not be posting it on a public forum. But then I guess that is my British "reserve". If I wanted opinions from her friends, or people who knew her, then why not do it in private

If you were not grieveing for your loss, then why make the point of your relationship finishing?

None of us are relationship counsellors. We all have our opinions on what is and what isnt right. We actually have no right to cast a judgement on your relationship ending, as V is as important to us as you are.

But, hey! If you felt it helps, then power to your elbow, andgood luck

RE: What's Your Ancestry?

RE: I LOVE YOU

They walked the hills together
Two lovers hand in hand
He placed upon her finger,
A brightly coloured band
It wasnt made of silver
It wasnt made of gold,
But things like that dont matter
When you are only 8 years oldsmitten

RE: People who misuse terms.

A female news anchor who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked, "So Bob, where's that eight inches you promised me last night?" Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too, because they were laughing so hard!

RE: Whats your idea of a perfect date?

No, if I mentioned Alex's name, she would kill me ...
