I love being alone

I enjoy the peace and quiet tranquility that being alone brings.

If I want to talk to my friends, I get on Skype.

If I want to visit my family, then I drive an hour to do that.

But if I want to just contemplate and enjoy the solitude, then I will.

I dont need to get drunk to have a good time. In fact I actually dont like the loss of control it gives me.

Dont get me wrong, when I go for a drink, I GO for a drink.

Last session and a few before that as well I did four bottles of red wine on my own!

But whats the point?

You miss the beautiful start to the day, the sun coming up brings so much promise and you dont all NEED someone to be with.

Being miserable and lonely is a state of mind.

If you change the state of mind then its great being alone.

New Year's is another matter entirely!!!

The problem with that is that the North Pole is a floating ice cap, as opposed to the South Pole which is a land mass.

I do not fancy getting caught on a lump of floating ice with a hairy-arsed polar bear whose last meal was three days ago!!!

That everyone up until the age of 21 has to ride a motorcycle and not a car!

Im a motor bike rider and the amount of idiots on the road who have no concept of motorbikers is incredible!!!

Plus it would cut down on emissions, reduce pollution, slow down the rate of oil use and teach people on the roads respect for other users.

Well, I am lucky I have lived or travelled to the majority of Western Europe.
So, it could be time to visit Eastern Europe.

But if I had to pick one country in each continent to visit, it would have to be
Europe - Romania (Trannsylvania and the wolves)
Asia - Nepal - (The Yeti)
The Middle East - Lebanon. (I know the Middle East is not a continent, but I still want to visit it!)
South America - Peru (The Inca Trail)
North America - ALL of it on a large motorbike!!! (16 months and counting)
Australasia - Easter Island (The Big heads)
Africa - South Africa (The Great White Shark diving)
and finally of them all, the number one destination for me to visit is .... Antartcia! The South pole!
I applied for a job there with the British Antartic Survey, but missed the application deadline.
