I understand, but if you are looking for someone, it sure makes it easier to meet people. But if you are here just for the forums, then I completely understand why you wouldn't put up a pic.
If you were on more sites, the better chance you would be scammed. I was on about 8 dating sites and got scam letters on just about all of them. If you are only on this site, with a limited profile and no pic, there is a slim chance you will be contacted by scam artists.
Happens alot to me--Russian women contact me all the time--I just delete it. It seems women are contacted by men from Nigeria. However, these 2 nationalities aren't the only scams going on. Also watch out for the "you have just won" or "you are the recipient of" mailings.
Especially watch out for Russian women (not all Russian women). They say they are from Florida, or Maine, but they are really still in Russia. They will try to scam you for money to fly here. This is nothing but a total scam, so please be careful.
