In my particular case, I had been chatting with her for 2 months before we even dated. We got to know each other pretty well until she agreed to meet me. She was very nervous about internet dating and it took a long time to convince her that I was "safe". I knew her financial situation was tenuous, so that is why I paid.
However, if I just met a woman and didn't know her financial situation, I might offer to pay for the baby sitter and of course, the date itself, but that might be the extent I would go.
Weddings are always good. I just met someone in Barnes And Noble and we are hitting it off well. I guess you can consider that a libraray/coffee house type place.
true story--my last girlfriend has 4 kids and I offered to pay for a baby sitter. Our 1st date, she wondered if she could bring the kids along and I said great. We went to lunch and a movie...I even filled her gas tank up since she had to drive about 20 miles to meet me half way for the date. I think men should offer to pay for baby sitters, gas money etc., to women who are struggling to bring up kids without the help of the kids' father. By the way, we all had a great time together and it was worth the few extra bucks to get to meet her and the kids.
I would love to get married, but someone has to get me pregnant 1st. In all seriousness, I would like to get married, but circumstances that are personal prevent that from happening...unless she was truely an outstanding woman.
I always read the profiles to see if they have the same interests, and how far away they are from me. Funny how alot of profiles say basically the same things.
To date someone, I would travel 90 minutes from home. My last girlfriend lived that far away and 90 minutes was as far as I would go to date someone. But to meet someone, I guess that depends how much I want to meet them and if they want to meet me. I know a woman in Utah I would love to meet, but not so sure the feeling is mutual.
