Without details could you tell us what condition this person was diagnosed with in her early 20's? It wasn't 'histrionic personality disorder', was it?
I had to laugh at the woman in Ballymun who was complaining that they had no Pharmacy. The whole place turned into a prescription-free pharmacy quite soon after that
First we contacted the Dublin County Sheriffs Office and the Dublin City Sheriffs Office who look after the county and city districts in Dublin respectively. Both of these offices have a similar story to tell: officers act on foot of either court orders or revenue warrants made out against a particular person. This gives officers the right to seize property in the name of that individual – including motor vehicles
If you know that the debtor owns something valuable, for example a car, you can tell the Sheriff this and ask him to seize it; you must, however, be absolutely sure that the car belongs to the debtor and not to some other member family member or Limited Company.
The sheriff doesn't 'threaten' to come. He tells you when he's coming and that's the day he must come. If it was my taxi it would be far, far away that day and I wouldn't have anything of value in the house. No T.V., no laptop, no coffe maker, nothing.
Yeah, get a new solicitor. The baliff can seize anything he likes. The thing is he can only take what he sees so if some of your more valuable possesions happened to be elsewhere when he called, then he couldn't touch them. If there's a car parked outside it's gone. I'm not sure about a taxi plate but if it can be sold he will take it. That'll be €100 please
An alcoholic is someone for whom alcohol is part of their life. Without it, something is missing. How much, how often, doesn't really matter. It's where it is in your life that matters. Could you (not your personally) really give it up anytime? Then do it. My guess is, if you have ever said, "I can give it up anytime" you know you can't.
Sure, genetics play a part but if Usain Bolt decided to sit around smoking ganga and eating goat curry and Jamaican patties all the time I'd say he'd be one fat dude ready to keel over in his mid 60's.
No Percival, you misunderstand on both counts. I don't hate girls, I hate Feminists and some of those are men. In fact quite a lot these days. Secondly I don't hate you or Revenue I hate the entire State. All States. The idea of a State. Because it is a model for criminals to run our lives. Yours too. I'm a sort of libertarian, anarcho-capitalist, minarchist, voluntaryist at heart.
OK then I don't want to pay. Is that ok? No, I didn't think so. So really, it's not up to the individual, it's up to the criminal gang who decide how much protection money they want from us. I can decide not to pay but if they can't steal the money from my bank or some other way they will send some of the guys to my home to take me to court. If I resist those guys they will shoot me. Dead. So I'll pay because that's better than dying. But let's call it what it is, theft. Afterall Confuscious said that the beginning of knowledge is correctly naming a thing.
Hey, I never argue with the Taxman, the Mafia or any other gang with the power to send armed agents to my home to drag me off. Ah be a good nigga bozz, pleeze doan whoop me!
