I dont think its a case of attempting to convert each other even - I think thats the height of arrogance personally. Its more a case of what attracts. There are quite a few behaviours which would preclude me from being attracted and this is simply just one of them - and I wouldnt expect a believer to be attracted to me either, Id drive him scatty within a few short conversations and be picking the bones out of everything he said - this is just not possible for me - I need harmony in my life, not constant bickering.
Its lovely to hear that it has worked for them but on the other hand, I know somebody who has been together that long, they were both Christian to begin with, he lost his faith and her inability to accept him as he is, is breaking the relationship apart - very sad situation....
I would never go into a relationship with somebody in the hopes of changing them to my way of thinking, any relationship, not just a romantic one. Nope, no harmony would be found for me in such a situation.
