Summer storms packed yet another punch for Alberta today.
Funnel clouds were spotted in the Red Deer area this afternoon and some weak tornadoes did briefly touch down northwest of Lethbridge.
Environment Canada meteorologist Bob Cormier says the tornadoes touched down in the Nobleford area, 469 km south of Edmonton, but there were no reports of damage.
In the Red Deer and Ponoka area, funnel clouds were spotted but none touched down. A tornado watch was in place for much of central Alberta today.
Fortunately, Cormier says the series of storms the province has seen should soon come to an end.
“There’s been a fairly unstable air mass sitting over the southern prairies. So as a result, any kind of system that comes by kicks off a whole whack of thunderstorms. It does look like things are going to be stabilizing beginning tomorrow and then gradually over the weekend,” said Cormier.
Environment Canada is forecasting partly cloudy skies with a high of 19 Friday and sunny over the weekend with highs of 23 for Saturday and Sunday
It's your email box..... and if you decide not to respond it is your choice.
You also have your reasons to not respond. Sometimes to stop something or someone you do not want to continue with, will understand that not getting a response means you are not interested.'
Sometimes when a person has been told, thank you but I'm not interested, it can get nasty. JMO some times not responding works best.
In this area, it is your choice, no one should make that decision for you.
Mine live with me, but waiting for EI to start.... they had to cover some bills. They could not afford to live on their own unless they had 2 or 3 more roommates.
We try to live our own lives, and they have their space of the house and I have mine. Some times act the mom by telling them to clean up after themselves, but they cook and do their own laundry and pay out of each pay cheque towards bills.
Guess the trick is to..... let them be adults.... and allow them to have their own life and space....and you have your life and space. Not easy to arrange it to be like apartment mates. or flat mates.... but it's about 75% do able. One son needs some supervision.... not a lot, but just so he won't get into trouble or will have help when he needs it.
One guy that met me, was living with his mother to help look after her. It also gave his sister a break from having to come to the house every day. Funny how he looked down on me for having my sons sharing the expenses..... but he lived with his mother and paid nothing.... she cooked for him... did his laundry etc....
Don't Ever stop doing the Dabble....Please never stop. You'd be suprised how artistic you are if you can Dabble.
I love Loreena McKennit... nickleback.... josh groban.... old stuff, new stuff. and celtic of course. :-)
Lord of the flies.... great book.... Read the Outlander series.... loved it.
But for some odd reason.... To Kill a Mockingbird always come to mind.
All of Frank McCourt's books are great. The one he wrote about when he was a teacher... amazing how he writes bout his students. The one that sticks out, is the one who loved washing the paint jars.
Just bought Bill Cullen's.... It's a Long way from Penny Apples. (Irish author... based in Dublin)
Marley and Me is a great read... and am set up to read... "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch you can find him on you tube giving his last lecture.... on dieing. More to do with looking at all his positives, a great life, and how he viewed life and love. To be at peace at such a young age, and have small children and a beautiful wife he knows he will leave behind.... very eye opening. Silly twit here.... could not stop crying the first 2 times I tried to watch his lecture. It's not some new age thing, but a man that found positives in everything and every where. JMO, would sure love to be as at peace, positive and happy as he is.
Brewster (my hairy dog) was standing under the gazebo .... and it was so cool listening to the rain hit the canvas roof. The smells from the garden were amazing...
Does any one like the smell of the garden out, or out side after it rains?
The plant the smells like chocolate mint.... seemed to take over my little yard.
Thunder got too loud for Brewster, so we went in side. Still listening to the rain fall .... kept the windows open... nice fresh breeze is blowing in, and the smell of chocolate mint and the flowers.
RE: am i cute to you
Sure....... try not to take responsability for driving people nuts.... medicine cabinet....... there's medicine in the house?
