Oh my... I am not part of any click, I post if I feel like it and won't if I don't.
I email people who make me smile or cry. I have found that most of the people out here are great. Most of us are here to find something, whether that be a partner or friends.
I came here to find a way to dispell some of the stress I have with my marriage breakdown. I have found some new friends and even met up with some wonderful people.
I suppose this site is what you make of it. I am not here to be popular and shy away from the 'contests' that they have on CS. I can understand why people need them, but don't feel the need to be validated that way.
Just come on, have fun and send emails or flowers to those who touch you. Post when you want and ignore those who try to argue with you. It is really all under your control..
Can't say that there are a heck of a lot of differences. The Brit laws are less strict than in the US. Seems you can almost get away with murder here, or if not, your jail sentence is a lot lighter.
Brits are not as insular as Americans and in my part of the UK, race hardly is a factor.
All I can think of at this hour of the morning on a Sunday....
The naughtiest thing I've ever done was when I was 17... me and some mates dressed up for halloween, went to our bosses house and totally destroyed his car...
Used soap, sugar, vasoline you name it and we smeared it on or put it in the car.
I only post where I want to post. I don't post for the sake of posting... If I have something to say, then I will post anywhere regardless of who started the thread.
There are some people who I'd rather avoid, and if they reply to one of my posts in a negative or confrontational way, I just ignore them.
I come here to destress and to laugh not to fight and feel worse than I did when I entered...
Oh oh you've caught the UK cold that has been going around.
Well I can recommend a couple... 1 shot irish whiskey in a cup of extremely hot tea with freshly squeezed lemon and honey. Drink as quickly as u can stand, wrap up in a blanket and go to bed....
If that fails then try some vitamin C and zinc ... reduces the symptoms
I am sure that most everyone in the UK would love for you to come and take all of ours home with you. I had one get into my facia boards and into my loft. Cost tons to get the critter caught, exterminated and the damage fixed.
Now before I get attacked, it is UK law to exterminate any creature that is not native to the UK if it is caught.
Thanks for the nice story. Needed to hear something like this today. It is just past 3pm here, day almost done.
It has not been a good or bad one, but it is nice to sit and reflect on something that is small but so true. Your post has energised me so that I can finish my day in a more positive way.
Things are different depending on where you live.... In the UK most divorces can't be final until you are seperated for two years, just found out today that in Ireland it is 4 years. I would not exclude someone in that situation.
The laws in the UK are different than the US, divorce does not normally incude third parties...
I would say that each person is unique and not disregard someone due to their marital status as long as they were not truly married and just playing.
My 2cents as a recently separated person living in the UK..........
