I dont like the blatant commercialism and the rude people there, who wont generally give people the time of day.But im glad you enjoyed it as its good for a visit occasionally.The city isnt a place to live through, and some areas are truly terrible, "The Elephant and Castle" being one of them.
You managed to find cheap accomadation ok? Thats not that easy in london if you dont know what your doing! I think the average nightly rate is about £125 a night near Liverpool street station for instance! Weekends are even worse.
For that sort of money i'd rather explore somewhere else!!!
There isnt much that is free in london, you must have visited when they did a freebie, though some ask for a voluntary donation.
Kew Gardens is nice, but its not in London, well london i mean as the city of london.London covers a huge sprawling area.
The natural history museum is wonderful, as are some of the others and as for art its ironic as i sell it!!
There's plenty of galleries, Like the tate or the tate modern and i recommend the South bank as an area to hang out on a sunday or saturday when the weathers nice.
Theres lots to do and see in london, though when you live here everywhere its an exersise to empty your pockets at premium for the lowest standard thats possible.
I lost count of how many countries i have visited, but ive travelled all over the globe, though havent made it to Australia or NZ yet.One day ill have to try to list them all, but they must include every country in asia,lots in south america, africa and europe of course.
I did remember the temperature difference in one day from 38 degrees to minus 20 degrees within 12 hours!!!

If anyone says London i suggest they havent travelled much!!! It's overpriced, filthy and overrated, and 20 miles down the road.The best part of london is the airports departure lounge
