For all of those who struggle at this time of year

Crital computer problems has kept me away, that and nearly loosing some very precious photographs!!

Your welcome to come around if you want, though for reasons i wont go into this isnt the best time of year for me....lets say that.

Best wishes to all though, i'll be back to my normal self soon as we hit January.....

For all of those who struggle at this time of year

There are many and various reasons some have a terrible time of it at this time of year.

My thoughts go out to all those souls who are somewhat effected by this season of good will and merryment.

Best of luck to everyone, and if you believe in a god may he always be with you.comfort cheers

RE: why do people judge?

I'm not the best person to judge after a computer disaster on sunday morning.

For what my opinion is worth i honestly wouldn't worry about it, then again i would say that having a face that looks like it hit the floor when i fell off the bus.

Lifes too short to worry about people, you either like them or you don't...or maybe they will grow on you like fungus???????

dunno dunno dunno

RE: what is the perfect wedding song?

Beck "Loser".....someone should have played that at the wedding of poor Brittany Spears....rolling on the floor laughing

You left off pathelogically dishonest. That gets my vote, that and being self centered, so i went for high maintenance.cheers

The number one aspect you look for in a partner

You want a "whopper" for Xmas....and your not talking something from a fast food venuelaugh santa waving cheers

RE: whats wrong with letting us have a beer at xmas??????.....

Sadly, live rounds and booze dont mix.

Last thing you want is a "negligent discharge" in a crowded area with a man with a ......5.56 round going through someones head.

Keep you head down and your vision unimpared....that on its own might save your and the guys next to you life.

Be safehandshake

What do you want for Xmas

I knew you would have wanted that answer available, that's why i remembered to put it there last.....to see if people went to the bottom of the listcheers santa waving

I left out the the "me" as i was sorely tempted and thinking about the "Bloodhound Gang" track when i typed the threadrolling on the floor laughing

RE: Do you think executions should be televised? & if they were would you watch?

I think the publics consumption for such things would grow to such a capacity that it would be the most popular rated programme in history.

Advertising breaks would be worth more than in the middle of the superbowl and there would be a clamour for more violence to keep the ratings higher.

That said, i wouldn't watch it myself....but i bet you the ratings would be off the scale.cheers

What do you want for Xmas

Go on, what do you want? Someone had to do itrolling on the floor laughing

RE: Do you believe in God?

You missed of undecided!! They will be debating that next!!

An absolutely ideal use of the poll!!!

RE: If one of the polls gets locked, would it be a pollock that was put on it? And

Lets do a sweepstake on what type of thread will be locked first, or who's it will be....and donate the proceeds to a hospice or something.

My moneys on anything calling people ugly, something about religion or someone going paranoid about something.

Lets hope the poll is used to good effect but people remember to debate as well or well have loads of polls and no debates!!!

cheers

RE: What do you think of the new Polls feature?

Hopefully the poll feature will mean the end for immotive or threads that can be taken offensively.

Lets hope people debate as well and not just vote, i'll cross fingers, a leap forward.

Well done sitethumbs up

The number one aspect you look for in a partner

It's the most obvious use for the poll......but will the answer be looks or honesty or personality.

A combination of the above has obviously been excluded.grin cheers

RE: Xmas MISgivings

I used to lavish people with gift i thought they would really like. Then somewhere along the line it dawned on me that some might "expect" these presents and it put me right off.

Some people at work once bought me somethig silver, for my birthday....and it was slammed down on my desk in front of me and i just said "I accept your gift in the manner it was given, so please whatever it is please take it back and get yourselves a refund".

Some of you may think this is foolhardy, and what caused this outburst believe it or not was me sitting with one of the women in the office who i was going to ask out, for three others to be really annoyed that i wasnt spending lunchtime with them!

I really liked "Emma" but there was no way i was going to be scutinisedand like that every day, and have a relationship watched over by hawks in the office.

I should have just gone out with her, and be damned as she was lovely. The other threes attitude throwing a tantrum over not having lunch as we did every day made me adopt a policy of never dating anyone i worked with.

In that case it was a terrible mistake, one i regret.

If your out there reading this Emma, sorry.doh

RE: The Love, Pain, and Devastation of Xmas.

Absolutely agree, personally i do what i have to to get through Xmas.

One day i might see it differently, and the season just amplifies already exsisting emotions, whether they are good or bad. Some will associate it with personal events, which as in my case will always be the same.

That said i let others enjoy themselves and if i can help it go somewhere very quiet and watch the ducks and stay there a long time.I've tried helping and playing the cook and host with a smile on my face, but inside i was screaming you hippocrite....i cant bear this.

This year i will be spending Xmas eve with a friend for dinner, then escape as fast as possible to get away from people.

Seasons greetings to everyone who would like them.wave

RE: Long distance relationship.

I think it all depends on the two people concerned. If you know each other in the real world and want a long distance relationship you use modern technology just to stay in touch.

Mind you, meeting say here on a site and conversing endlessly without meeting and saying hugs, kisses etc to someone you have never even met does feel just a bit odd to me.I cant see me professing undying love to someone i haven't even met, its a bit insincere, and i'd frankly feel a idiot as its not rational.

Till it's real, you don't even know if you will get on with someone in the real world, or god forbid they smell like a chemical toilet. They might have weird habbits, like picking their ears and scrapping the debrit of their fingers with their teeth.....which someone described to me recently!!!

As for timescales, it depends on what you want, or how long you want to really meet a person if its not in the real world. You mightly be completely wasting you time, who knows.

Personally from my perspective, it might be someones idea of cheap entertainment or something? I really don't know but until you've got along in the real world you don't even know if your flogging a dead horse.

I say lifes what you make it, if you want to try, go for it.......and i cross my fingers for everyone.

A friend of mine met someone on the net, they spoke all the time, talked on webcam etc, they met and in september this year they got married, he sold up here in the UK and moved lock stock and barrel to America....absolutely true story, so it does happen.

grin

RE: Dubious Gifting

I tell people not to bother, really...if i need anything i can get it myself!!

I'm not fond of a marketing campaign saddled with a religious slant. It's legal, but it doesn't mean i have to play along!

Mind you, for all those that enjoy it have a great timecheers
