I don't understand it, i really don't!! My view is simple, just read what's written on the page!!
Mind you as long as its entertaining i don't mind as long as it put a smile on someones face.
Hopefully though we might find out what other peoples experiences have been and what on earth made people do the things they did.And more importantly how people fathom what the hell is going on in someone elses brain!
My deepest fear.Going on a night out on the town, having an alcohol induced memory blackout and waking up between Rosanne Barr And John Goodman and seeing Jerry Springer and a video camera at the bottom of the bed, yelling "cut".
If that is not hell personified i don't know what is.
I have to say i don't forget arguments of this nature, and i go quiet if its personal and as a rule of thumb don't even bother to interact after that.
I'm the worst person on the planet to want to argue with for fun, as i walk off and go mute.As girlfriends in the past found out, and they found it very frustrating! Some even hit me instead, then that didn't work as well and when they displayed that trait you can imagine my thoughts
Why do you think people resort to these tactics? Do you think they don't want to being seen as being wrong, or wont accept others ideas or maybe even they might see it as they have to be right at all costs?
Augments seem to be a way of life for some people, so if any of the above strike a chord and your brave enough to admit to any of them.
What do you like arguing about, anything in particular?
What actually makes you stop arguing?
When do you just give up and try to see things from another's perspective, or do you just give up and think their not worth the effort, or take the moral high ground?
Hopefully this won't degenerate into an arguement thread itself, but it might well be a good place to explain if you need the place to do it somewhere to say why you exploded on the forums, o put your foot in your mouth and didn't back down for some reason.
I've tried to sling a few explanations or reasons above, but if you can think of another please list them.
Hopefully we will see an honest reflection of how people see the subject, which is seen in here on a daily basis.
Remember, this is a poll and debate!! Not an opportunity to sling mud at anyone!!!
I would agree about old Wikipedia, and most things there i take with a large pinch of salt, mainly because anyone can contribute to the subject and we all know how well informed the public are, don't we
The works of Zacharia Sitchin are well worth looking at if your interested in the origins of the gods, and if you want me to suggest more reading materials, just let me know, i have one of the finest library's on the subject anywhere, right here in the house!
There's lots of common ground in ancient histories around the globe, the great flood being just one of them.Anyone who takes the bible though as a historical document though probably isn't aware it's a series of amalgamated tales from lots of ancient belief systems, mostly pagan.

Your definately right about the French variety, though there's an alcohol limit for legal reasons as clearly they cant sell the same stuff through supermarkets that makes you wand to cut your own ears off.
Any of the Booze warehouses in France will be more than happy to supply you with however much of this stuff as you want.
Sadly though the days of travelling to France on a booze cruise for me are over as its not financially worth it, and the cut throat way British supermarkets sell alcohol means spirits are cheaper here than in France anyway.
Champagne is about 30 per cent cheaper there though, and imported wine as well as domestic is too.
Ironically, a lot of the time its cheaper to buy alcohol on the ferry than anywhere else
Then again i didn't travel all that way just to buy alcohol, if you know what i mean

Hopefully people will chip in and made a comment as you said, sometimes they need to build up courage or dont want to type i agree or i disagree, my favorite is the word association threads or anything else in case they appear foolish or something?
I don't know, but the short version is more people should contribute threads or we will end up on the sponsored turnip idea real fast.
It's nice thus far how it hasnt degenerated into a slanging match as some threads do.
