It's simple MavRik...This is a site for connecting singles in all sorts of ways, not just dating. But even if that weren't the case these types of threads do alot more to illuminate an individual's personality than the usual "how well are you hung" threads. For example, in your one short post it appears that you are quick to snap at others and show annoyance, yet you apparenty are only here to find love. And if you think GWB's actions in Iraq put us into this depression, I also know that your knowledge of politics is sorely limited.
Just as a funny aside, I read yesterday that Sarah Palin is taking some heat from her legislature because she wants to reject the bailout money earmarked for Alaska. She says they don't need it, but the legis. says they can use it.
Absolutely it is...However, if the government is going to insist on bullying it's way into the free enterprise system and now assuming control of the airways, then they damn sure need to clean up the NEWS side of it. They have literally basked in the glow of a liberal media for years, and frankly, it's a large part of why you and I and so many others think the way we do. It shouldn't be that way...
The biggest discrepancy is that mainstream media presents itself as NEWS, whereas talk show hosts present themselves as opinion. A news outlet has an incredible responsibility to the American public as they are SUPPOSED to be reporting facts and not falsifying them or picking and chosing which ones to present in order to shape public opinion. THAT is dishonest and there should be objective reporting. Not 15 minutes of one perspective and 15 miniutes of another perspective...FACTS so that the American public can be accurately informed and shape it's own opinion.
Whether or not a talk show personality is good enough to have a following is nobody's business but the advertisers and the listeners. Would you have expected Don Imus to devote 15 minutes a day to bras and underwear???
