You need to go back and study what really happened. Did you forget on two separate occasions Bush and McCain both introduced legislation to reform banking AND predicted this would happen if they didn't...AND that both bills were unanimously voted down by a party line vote from the Dems?
Awww. I don't mind them if they aren't too outrageous. I do the henna tattoos all the time just for fun. I just never wanted anything permanent except eyeliner.
I have not seen any men here using the widow card. All the ones I've met have been really decent, stable men. While it's true they probably have some grief that may never leave them, they are far LESS likely to be as emotionally damaged when it comes to relationships. JMHO
Oh lighten up Ambrose. This is a SOCIAL website and not a professional venue. The OP is not getting paid for her comments. We all take liberties on these threads that we would never do in a professional setting. I am also a profssional writer and have been for 25 years, yet I often will posts comments with typos. That is the luxury of a social website. It's meant to be fun and enriching, not doggedly proper.
Thanks to you, however, we have lost one very good member today. One how has truly enriched these threads with her humor and positive outlook. I hope you felt it was worth it.
Of Course I understood you Juan...You admit that the health care package this administration RAMMED through is flawed, yet you blame it on the Republicans!
"I agree that Obama's health care bill isn't great, and many of us are very disappointed that he caved-in to republicans with tossing out the "public-option" which would have given these insurance companies the "competition" they so badly need !"
The bigger problem is the blatant effort to promote a cultural nightmare using Sharia law which they say is their right. It's a dfficult situation because, on the one hand, our constitution leaves us ill-equipped to prevent Sharia law from creeping in - but on the other hand, there are many things included in Sharia law that are illegal in the states. For example:
The mosque's ultra-orthodox worship separates women from men in the prayer hall. Women must enter the mosque from a separate, usually back, entrance; and are required to wear hijabs.
Sermons preach women are inferior to men and can be beaten for disobedience; that non-Muslims, particularly Jews, are infidels and inferior to Muslims; that jihad or support of jihad is not only a Muslim's duty but the noblest way, and suicide bombers and other so-called "martyrs" are worthy of the highest praise; and that an Islamic caliphate should one day encompass the U.S.
Solicitation of financial support for jihad.
Bookstores that sell books, CDs and DVDs promoting jihad and glorifying martyrdom.
Though not all mosques in America are radicalized, many have tended to serve as safe havens and meeting points for Islamic terrorist groups. Experts say there are at least 40 episodes of extremists and terrorists being connected to mosques in the past decade alone.
Some of the 9/11 hijackers, in fact, received aid and counsel from one of the largest mosques in the Washington, D.C., area. Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center is one of the mosques indentified by undercover investigators as a hive of terrorist activity and other extremism.

Love it.
