It's pretty dicey, but you can try covering your kitchen gear and anything else you might come in close contact with, then use a couple of bug bombs. Set them off before going out of town and fumigate the place. I use them in my barn from time to time. Very effective and lasts for months. You'll want to wipe things down when you come back though.
