My sister was there too. Her husband was an Air Force captain at the time. When the dependants were evacuated, they boarded a transport in Lybia wearing summer clothes but for some reason it didn't fly to Virginia as planned. Instead, it landed in Newfoundland in the middle of winter and all the women had to hike to a hanger a mile away in sub-zero weather dragging their bags and their kids, (all still wearing their summer clothes).
I have nothing against the guy personally. It's true that he supported some terrorist organizations back in the 60s and 70s, but the Americans were committing genocide in Vietnam at the same time. I don't think Libya had anything whatsoever to do with Lokerbie. But the Americans bombed Libya for no reason killing hundreds including Gaddafi's 3 year old daughter, on the basis of a radio signal faked by Israeli agents through which they blamed Libya for a bomb in Germany. The Americans knew it was fake but they needed an excuse for bombing Lybia. So, all in all I wouldn't say Gaddafi was any more of a terrorist than Nixon, Reagan, or Bush. He certainly never killed as many innocents as they did.
I think that a vague search for God is present in every human soul. With or without religion.
What we call religion is the organized expression of that search over time, mixed in with opportunistic schemes for personal profit from the search of others.
My hydrocephalus gives me a very specific sort of memory problem. A neuropsychologist tested me on it.
The memories are well encoded and stocked, but retrieval can be all but impossible.
However if there is any sort of retrieval clue, it unlocks the memory.
For example, when asked to memorize a list of unrelated words I could only retain 5 or 6 at best, but if I was asked "was there a bird" I would immediately know that the word "robin" was on the list.
The field is too vast to try to address comprehensively. It has to be broken down into bite sized pieces.
I'd like to look just at one little point here.
The "evolution" camp inevitably traces creation back to a "big bang" when nothingness first imploded upon itself and then exploded into light, that quckly condensed into matter from which everything else was created.
Sounds really scientific doesn't it?
But it's not. It's religious. It's basic Kabbalist doctrine.
The whole big bang theory is nothing in the world but kabbalist myth disguised as science.
The same is true for Freud's "id" "ego" and "super-ego" and a lot of other supposed "science" including the modern scam that calls itself quantum-physics.
Religion is being sold as science. And it's not just any religion. It's religion who's very purpose is to supplant belief in God and replace it with the belief that the "self" is God.
It's going to take a lot of explaining to support all that so I'll start with just the part about the big bang.
Did it originate from scientific study, or was it just kabbalist doctrine painted over with a scientific veneer?
First lets see where the BB theory "officially" came from.
As always in such scams, it is pretended that the Big Bang theory was derived from sound science. Opening statement from the Wikipedia article Big Bang:
The Big Bang is the cosmological model of the initial conditions and subsequent development of the Universe that is supported by the most comprehensive and accurate explanations from current scientific evidence and observation.
They don't leave any room for personal analysis do they. The first statement is that all debate is closed. Big Bang wins. Like Al Gore declaring that the debate is closed on Global Warming. You know you're being scammed when "science" is closed to debate. True science depends on always questioning supposed "truths".
Closer inspection of the Big Bang theory shows that even among the bang-gang there is no consensus of how it all took place. In fact there is so much diversity of thought that it's hard to even say that the theory has any substance whatsoever.
From the very same Wikipedia article that, in its first paragraph, pretended a unquestionable consensus among scientists for the Big Bang theory.
"All ideas concerning the very early universe (cosmogony) are speculative. As of today no accelerator experiments probe energies of sufficient magnitude to provide any insight into the period. All proposed scenarios differ radically, some examples being: the Hartle-Hawking initial state, string landscape, brane inflation, string gas cosmology, and the ekpyrotic universe. Some of these are mutually compatible, while others are not."
Doesn't seem like such a consensus after all does it? About all they agree on is the name. And there's a reason for that.
Running out of space and time here. I'll continue this later.
Massively superior intellectually??? Massive ego only. We are big frogs on a small pond. I'm not amazed at man's supposed vast intellectual superiority, I'm amazed at how utterly stupidly he uses it. Only one animal risks to destroy life on earth.
I believe he was fully involved with planning the 911 attacks and the subsequent wars. All for profit and the globalist hidden agenda of some very evil people including himelf.
There's no way we'll ever agree on all that. Maybe time will make the truth more evident.
And you have no idea just how far things will fall when Obaminable Healthcare kicks in.
I won't get into details, but I will say I am now seriously handicapped and dying from a neurological condition that would have been diagnosed and treated many years ago if French doctors weren't pressured to always minimize everything they do.
The assumption is that the patient is always exagerrating, so the doctor assumes his condition is far less serious than the patient thinks it is.
In my case (and many others) the result is that my condition went totally untreated for years and now it is killing me.
To hell with socialized medicine. You are better off paying out of your own pocket than allowing the state any sayso about your health.
Realize that in can be in the state's interest that the elderly, the handicapped, or even the healthy but unemployed die prematurely.
First of all, your figures are ridiculous. The total cost of the US wars since 911 (Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan,..) is not 10b. The wars cost about a billion a week at present. Back in the initial invasion period it was a billion per day.
There is a running clock of the war expenditures at this site.
At this moment the clock is at 912 billion and counting.
And yes, along with the fact that the US was already broke and in debt to start with, the war costs are what finally brought on the long overdue depression.
The sub-prime situation was just the weak point in the levy. Inflation, due to decades of fiscal insanity and war costs was the hurricane.
And still the US continues massive deficit spending. Assuring that the depression will deepen. We ain't seen nothing yet.
Ahmadinejad is actually very intelligent and reasonable in his discussions, much moreso than the snakey American journalists who continually seek to distort whatever he says.
I don't speak Farsi myself and I don't know what may have been said in private.
But the disinformation on this point has concerned public speeches and the supposed translations were nothing of the sort, they were deliberate disinformation designed to sow hatred.
Ahmadinejad didn't say he intends to kill anybody or invade anybody.
What he said (in essence) was that one day, the régime illegally and brutally occupying Palestine (for over 60 years now) will pass from the pages of time.
I know he is right about that, It is even promised by Jesus himself (in Luke 21), and I thank God for his faithfulness to always set things right and deal with the oppressors.
I live in the entire world cowboy. You're the one who's out of touch. You can't help it, because all of your information is filtered through the US news media.
For instance. The US media will claim that the US is helping Pakistan fight of the Taliban.
But then, the US created the Taliban in the first place, trained and armed them, and still arms them to this day.
Or do you think they make their own arms, or buy them? From whom, and with what income?
The Taliban are a US invention. Just like Al Qaida.
Americans think the US is helping Pakistan. And what do Pakistanis think?
A survey commissioned by Al Jazeera in Pakistan has revealed a widespread disenchantment with the United States for interfering with what most people consider internal Pakistani affairs.
The polling was conducted by Gallup Pakistan, an affiliate of the Gallup International polling group, and more than 2,600 people took part.
Interviews were conducted across the political spectrum in all four of the country’s provinces, and represented men and women of every economic and ethnic background.
When respondents were asked what they consider to be the biggest threat to the nation of Pakistan, an overwhelming number, 59% of respondents, said the greatest threat to Pakistan right now is, in fact, the US.
Two years ago, a worldwide survey asked people what nation they considered to be the biggest threat to world peace. And the US won that one too.
So, to answer your question.
No, I don't think the whole world is involved with covering up the truth about what Ahmadinejad said. Most of the world knows very well what he said.
But most people in the US and Britain don't know, because the media distorts the truth.
