Just as the nationally adopted Texas Medical Algorithm project mandated extremely harmful drugs for millions of perfectly normal schoolkids, now, on an international basis, food is to be regulated in ways that will make it impossible maintain a healthy natural diet.
The project is called Codex Alimentarius and, through the world trade organization, it is installing de-facto global controls over every aspect of the food industry. It is designed to kill organic food and impose presently banned pesticides, harmones, herbicides, and other dangerous substances upon our food.
Even the Codex organization predicts a widespread increase of nutritionally related deaths due to the imposition of the new "guidelines".
Actually I think that often both the gurus and their followers are highly intelligent. But they have entered together into a collective delusion that distorts their ability to think rationally.
The guru may start off as simply a self-serving con-man who laughs at the gullibility of his followers, but over time they always get caught up in their own web of lies because their very position depends upon keeping up the lie at all times. After a while they lose touch with reality.
Yes, that's true. People are basically the same everywhere. But they can be pushed into all sorts of evil by governments, politics, the media, religion, etc.
Most of the world would disagree with that statement.
In truth, all people are the same. Whether they are Americans, Iranians, Russians, whaterver. We like to see ourselves as good, but we all end up compromising our goodness and seeking our advantage much of the time.
If we acknowledge that fact and regret it, and try to be more just and to repair the damage we have done, it serves to humble us and helps us make us better.
But If we try to deny our selfishness, and start to see ourselves as essentially good, somehow better than others, it fills us with pride, and we willingly close our eyes to our own sins, and after a while we can't even see them any more.
I wouldn't call what is happening a "revolution". It's more of a "coup d'état".
It's not a popular uprising but a change in the form of government engineered by those already in power.
It is definitely moving towards dictatorship with a heavy bureaurocracy. Something similar to communism, but by another name, of course. Fascism disguised as a leftwing movement.
Try taking off the "definitely wants kids". It may be that the search engine is overly exclusive on that point. Leave some wiggle room on the profile but take it back away in communications afterwards.
Iran is no more or less democratic than the US. Nor is it any more or less "free".
And the press is not exactly the voice of truth.
No need to get all worked up over injustice or oppression in Iran, much of which is just media hype or government engineered disinformation.
There is plenty of very real injustice and oppression in our own part of the world that we don't seem to be able to cure.
If we look to the US record in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti, Grenada, Panama, Argentina, the Phillipines, Indonesia, Cuba, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatamala, and elsewhere, there is no reason to think that the US can do any good by getting involved in Iran.
You're forgetting the military tribunals act. If the president considers someone to be an "enemy" they can be imprisoned, tortured, and even executed, without trial and without a lawyer.
Madoff's scam was running for decades. And certainly he wasn't in on it alone. Other people made millions. At 71 going to prison isn't that big of a deal. He'll be in some sort of prison old folks home.
And the sentence is a joke. At his age he won't live more than 10 or 12 years maximum. And his would fail just as fast out of prison as in.
But this way all the others will get off scott free by piling all the blame and all the punishment on Madoff.
It may have even been planned that way all along. They knew somebody would have to take the blame. Might as well be the old guy.
RE: Where has Obama Failed miserably?
Where has Obama Failed miserably?Honesty
He took office with a promise to get out of Iraq immmediately.
Total lie.
He's just a more colorful version of Bush.
