Having lived in Asia for 7 years, including 4 years in Japan, a year in Taiwan, a year in Indonesia, and shorter stays in Korea and Shanghai, it is totally understandable that Asians are under-represented in the leadership of American hi-tech companies.
Asian leadership in an American firm would be like trying to use Nissan parts to repair a Ford.
An Asian boss could only work with an Asian workforce. And the Asian workforce would require an Asian environment, isolated from western ideas.
The same is true in the reverse sense. An American boss would not be able to run a company in Japan. He wouldn't understand the workers or the rules of conduct in business.
Nuclear energy is neither "cost efficient" nor clean.
Energy is very high here.
Some people believe that France vitrifies all nuclear waste and stores it underground vaults. That was true 2O years ago when nukes produced only a fraction of the power in France.
But the new power plants, like those in the US, produce waste that cannot be vitrified. So, like in the US, waste is simply put into containers and stored above ground.
And since such waste will be radioactive for many centuries, its like a ticking time bomb waiting to create an inevitable ecological disaster.
If she wanted prayer so that she would sing well in order to impress people, yes, that's a bit strange.
But if she wanted prayer for courage and strength to overcome stagefright, that's something entirely different.
God wants us to call on him for things, as long as our motives are good.
He won't answer prayers based on pride, selfishness, envy, hatred, greed, lust etc.
He will answer prayers based on love, forgiveness, repentence, etc.
Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Mt 6:5 And when thou prayest, be not as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Yes, but not necessarily with the answers we expect or desire.
In my opinion, prayer is not nearly so much about getting God to do what we want as it is about setting our hearts right so that whatever God does, we accept and appreciate it.
I doubt that. The drug companies love socialized medecine.
Pill cost next to nothing to produce and under socialized medecine there is a pill for every ill (and nothing else).
Under socialized medecine, the public tries to get its money's worth out of the system by asking for all sorts of pills from the MDs. And they comply, as they are underpaid and can't afford to lose patients. So every household has boxes and boxes and boxes of pills.
But just happen to need brain or heart surgery and you will see how the medical system will stonewall.
It's not the GPs' faults. They refer you to specialists at state hospitals.
At those hospitals, its like a battlefield triage. Their resources are limited (because corruption eats up most of the healthcare money)
If they think treating you is cost-effective, they will do so. If not, they will simply misdiagnose your condition, label you as depressive, and send you home with no real treatment other than to try to give you drugs that will silence your complaints.
I speak from experience.
Despite what you may have heard from the media, The French socialized medical system is a nightmare.
Maybe Canada's system isn't that bad yet. But over time it will become that bad. Under social medecine, the monetary interest of the hospital moves away from curing the very ill towards killing them.
Of course it means that about a third of your salary will go directly to the healthcare system whether you ever get sick or not.
And it will also mean that the government has a monetary interest for doctors to underdiagnose, and undertreat whatever health conditions you may have.
And it also means that the government has even more interest in the early death of retired people than they do at present, especially those with potentially expensive conditions. Early death means big savings both for living expenses and health expenses.
And as agencies of the state, whose side of the issue do you think the hospitals will be on? Yours or the governments?
Finding women on here is no problem. Go to "search". Specify that you are looking for "women seeking men" and any other details you might think important. You'll find plenty of women.
At that point, the site has done all it can do. From there on, it's up to you.
Obama is anything but spontaneous. Everything he does is a performance of memorized lines. And this kind of cryptic BS was meant to catch people's attention.
I would say he is, on one hand, trying to identify himself as being "liberated" from religion. But at the same time trying to arouse suspicion among the religious right.
It's a no-brainer that Obama intends to rule not through government, but through brute force, via the heavily armed "civilian defense force" he is creating.
I'd say there is good reason to suspect the rise of a sort of militant fascism under Obama. (disguised as a leftist movement for social change no less).
There's no point comparing him to Bush. They are on the same team.
My own native land also occupies several nations. We have no control over such things and no blame for what our countries do. But we must not support atrocities in our hearts.
Once, years ago, a speeding ambulance passed me on a US highway in Missouri and then 10 minutes later, I came up on the scene where it had hit a Holstein cow. The cow was dead, but otherwise in pretty good shape. The ambulance was much more damaged than the cow.
