Your post reminds me of a song by Shady Grove Band.
Wasted Tears
V1: You told me you loved me and then you treated me so bad that I packed your bags and I'm glad that you're history But the thing that's drivin' me crazy and the thing that's making me sad Is there just is no escaping your memory
ref: Wasted Tears and wasted time Tryin' to get you off of my mind Still I can't forget all the lies you told I drove you away but you're in my heart to stay Because my heart won't let my love for you grow cold
V2: I wish that I could hate you and I wish there was a way to get this old desire right out of me But no matter what you do dear and no matter what you say I just can't seem to set my poor heart free

The US has no right to send missiles into Pakistan for any reason whatsoever, nor to act as judge, jury, and hangman over citizens of Pakistan.
And these killings are not accidents or cases of mistaken identity. The US wants civilian casualties. They want to provoke trouble.
The Taliban are nothing but an Asian version of the Contras. A CIA controlled "insurgency" that serves to stir up violence and eventually as an excuse to invade and occupy Pakistan.
Another possible variation on the same theme would be what the US did in Cambodia. That is, to provoke a mass migration of villagers into the cities, resulting in a breakdown of vital services, all sorts of chaos and crime, destabilizing the government, followed by a genocidal reign of terror (perhaps by the CIA-Taliban).
In the aftermath, after a few million deaths, the new Pakistani government will be nothing but a puppet of the US, but everyone will be so glad that the terror is over that they will accept it gladly.
The US has been living on borrowed money for decades.
The last time the US had a positive trade balance was way back in the early 70s.
Since then, including during the supposedly "booming" Reagan years, and the period of the super-strong dollar during the 80s, the US was continually sliding deeper and deeper into debt.
The "growth" that gave an illusion of economic health, was financed mostly by debt.
Now, with other nations no longer supporting the dollar by buying treasury bonds, that debt imparts directly on the economy.
The following chart shows non-borrowed reserves. It is the chart that most clearly shows just how grave this depression is going to be.
Well I reckon we could if we had any "surplus export dollars".
But since the US has been running a huge trade deficit for decades, surplus export dollars don't exist.
America is even now running record trade deficits. She has neither the industrial capacity nor the investment capital to begin producing her own goods.
Foreign banks own America now.
That fact will be reflected commercially, culturally, and politically.
God controls everything whether we pray or not. And He knows what we need whether we pray or not. Prayer is not about convincing God to do things for us. It's about acknowledging that God is in control.
That may sound like just a rationalization, a way of coping with things that we can't control.
But it is more than that.
Faith changes people and gives them confidence and hope, and frees them to love and forgive in a world that is totally injust. And that attitude of confidence, hope, love, and forgiveness opens doors to all sorts of miracles.
It really IS supernatural, but its effects are embedded in the natural order. So that one can always scoff and deny their existence if that's what they choose to do.
With faith: A loving God created all things and controls everything so that all things work together for good. This life is a mere entrance examination for our real eternal existence. Death is not the end. There is no need to fear death. It's better to die as a victim of evil than to be evil and violent yourself. Good will be rewarded and evil punished. All injustice will be righted. The poor, the persecuted, the merciful, the peacemakers, and those who seek truth and rightousness will all be blessed. Etc etc etc
Without faith: The universe is chaotic and has no purpose or plan. Good is seldom rewarded and crime often pays. The ones who manage to cheat others are blessed. Death is the end of everything and must be feared. There is no hope for anything beyond this life. Pre-emptive murder is better than being killed. Injustice will never be righted. This world's corrupt system is the last recourse. Etc etc etc.
Yes that's a typical family story in the states as well. And it's getting that way here in France too.
In western society, there are so many forces pulling people in different directions, and the traditional "glue" that used to hold families together, (faith, love, common interest, etc) just isn't there anymore.
The end result is that the family no longer functions and every individual finds himself facing the world more or less alone.
Well let's look at the realities involved. You live in "itty bitty Nebraska", I live in Southeastern France, and others here live in Africa, Asia, Australia, Iran, etc etc etc.
It's a global community.
At the very best, only a tiny proportion of people here will live near enough to make real-life dating practical.
But as someone already said, we can still "connect" and enjoy each other's company and share opinions and make friends online, even if we never get to see each other in real life.
It certainly beats cruising bars. Especially as we get older.
That principal is true. We will certainly "reap what we sow".
But it's not some sort of inanimate automatic function of "nature".
If it were man would soon devise ways to "cheat" the process by passing off evil for good.
Karma could not work without an omniscient, omnipotent intelligence capable of knowing the thoughts and intents of the heart, of discerning what is truly "good" and "bad" (even when every effort is taken to disguise it), and of directing the matter and energy of the entire universe to administer the corresponding reward or punishment.
RE: Ireland is ECB's sacrifical lamb to satisfy German inflation demands
It's all just part of the plan.Every formerly independent sovereign nation will be forced (by economic necessity) to join into ever larger economic unions.
It's a trade-off.
Liberty and independence are sacrificed for the sake of economic stability.
(not the same thing as prosperity).
