RE: Can You fall in Love, even" Before" meeting Someone

Not many people "fall in love" with God.
I don't think that's what he expects.
Did you fall in love with your mother?
Or do you love her.
It's not the same thing.

RE: a 22 year old and a 34.

A single mom with 2 kids is plenty old enough.

In fact it's good that you are considerably older as, (hopefully) you will have the maturity and the financial stability needed to meet the challenges that such a relationship will certainly pose.

RE: Which state?

yeah Guam.

This place.

Should we just give all the nuclear powers the green light to just go agead and nuke the planet?

I don't think they are waiting for our green light.
I'm not sure they care that much about our opinion.

It's just that they don't really want a nuclear war.
That would be bad for business.

But terror generated by the threat of a nuclear war is another story.

Terror is good for business.
It can be converted into very profitable conventional wars against poor people in a distant land.
Entire economies can be drained dry and all the money funnelled into designated pockets.

War is big business.

RE: Sell Me on Obamacare

No, I've seen plenty of socialized medicine here in France.

Costs more, quality is reduced, gives goverment the final word about what care you get.

If I gave you my own personal story you would understand my attitude, but I don't want to get into it.

Suffice it to say that I have been seriously f--ked by the social medical system. And it's not just me. A lot of others have had similar experiences, even among the people I know.

RE: i bet none of you care about the way i was viciously attacked on the australian forums yesterday ?

That's because Ghana is the favorite stop for all the international Jet-Setters.

They may spend some time in luxury ports around the globe, but they invariably make their way back to Ghana because that's where it's really happening.

RE: i bet none of you care about the way i was viciously attacked on the australian forums yesterday ?

It's the keyboard's fault.

RE: i bet none of you care about the way i was viciously attacked on the australian forums yesterday ?

In my case, you're right, Gilly.

You're a big boy now and you can take care of yourself in a virtual fistfight.

I wasn't there, don't know what happened, and don't really care.

You seem to have survived the attack pretty much unscathed.

You didn't even lose your tinfoil hat.

RE: Sell Me on Obamacare

Sell Me on Obamacare.

Don't have to sell it.
You'll have no choice.

RE: NFL Dog Killer Micheal Vic is back

You people are soooo merciless.

The guy should be allowed to reclaim his job.

Provided he has been properly neutered and de-clawed.

So what did we win, a new Hannibal Lector T-shirt?

RE: American Fail

In dubya's case, I think he's totally faking being an idiot.

It only started after he had already "won" his re-election.

Then overnight he went from simple liar to babbling idiot.

Perhaps it's in his interest to be thought of as a bumbling idiot rather than a genocidal maniac.

As for the girls.
Both seem contrived to me.

Maybe they really are idiots.
Or maybe there's a psy-op reason for such displays.

Perhaps by seeing such displays of idiocy, people will consider themselves wiser and better informed than they really are.
That could serve the interests of manipulators.

RE: Should women have children if they can not support them properly?

And should forum members be able to decide the fate of mothers and children on the basis of income.

Like somebody already said, leave some room for God.
He takes care of the animals who have no money at all.
He can take care of people too.

In a year or so half the people in the US could be below what we now consider to be the poverty level.
Do you intend to round up all their kids when that happens?

RE: HOW CAN WE FIX THIS! As Humans This Is Unacceptable Behavior!

How to solve the problem.

Just step out the back Jack
Make a little plan Stan
No need to be coy Roy
Just listen to me

Just hop on the bus Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key Lee
And set yourself free

RE: religious conversion ?

I feel the same way.

Those pushy religionists are the same people who will try to forbid opposing opinions from being put forth.

Jesus never insisted that anyone listen to him or believe what he said. As much as possible, He did his teaching out in the countryside. Only those who wanted to hear would come.
And his teachings were entirely "take it or leave it".

About the only time he spoke in very public place was when his enemies insisted on it, hoping to find a way to accuse Him.

He also put most of his teachings in the form of simple parables, so that those who didn't want to be influenced wouldn't even understand. Understanding the point required belief that the point was present, valid, and important.

Mt 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. ... 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart...

RE: religious conversion ?

But it is IMPOSSIBLE to change someone else's beliefs.

That is the one thing that God, in his wisdom, doesn't permit.

You can beat a person, taze him, jail him, drug him, lecture him, force him to do things, etc etc etc but you can't change his fundamental beliefs. In fact, for all your efforts you will probably only reinforce those beliefs.

Only the individual himself can change his beliefs.
And that is his right.
And a basic part of that right is the liberty to discuss beliefs with others so the person can compare, reflect, and choose his own beliefs.

To limit the exchange of religious thought and thereby prevent conversion is the same thing as imposing beliefs.

Religious evil thrives in darkness, when the exchange of ideas is forbidden. The most evil religious oppressors are the ones who forbid the exchange of ideas with outsiders.

Freedom is never the problem.
It is the cure.

RE: Sell Me on Obamacare

I want page and paragraph numbers from the actual bills showing me the positive affects this will have on the country.
quote]

Ok I'll try to sell you on it, but don't expect me to wade through the written bill.

Why the US needs Mutual of Obama insurance.

1. As unemployment skyrockets, the Obama bill will create millions of bureaucratic jobs to administer the program (all funded with money taken right out of paychecks).

2. It will provide an equal level of healthcare to all, citizens, non-citizens, illegal aliens, rich, poor, whatever.

3. It will limit what healthcare services people can demand.

4. It will generate more profits for the drug companies.

5. It will reward doctors who do the least for their patients, and punish those who do the most.

RE: Phsychopath Test

She figured the guy would come to the funeral and she could see him again.

RE: Just how dangerous are the FOX "News" personalitys?

The jury must have been rigged, because they are certainly not entertaining.

RE: The Current Health System - Pros and Cons

Yes, it's a part of human nature.

But the US is in a special class.
Mostly because it got away with it unchecked for so long.

Ever since the mid 70s the US has been living high on deficit spending and expecting other nations to pay for it by buying into the US economy.

As it turned out, the poorest nations on earth were the ones financing Americas lavish spending.

The US will not get more than its share of suffering.
But it will seem like it, because there is a huge backlog.

RE: The Current Health System - Pros and Cons

I forgot to say this.

Here in France, the hospitals are in such dire need that they regularly cheat on every single hospital bill. They charge extra days, they charge for services and supplies that the patient didn't get, etc etc. And if you catch them at it they will explain that they have to do that because the state restricts what they can charge. And as a result of it all, the patient ends up paying much more.

Don't think that socialized medicine will replace private health insurance. After a few years there will be so many things that the state insurance doesn't cover completely that you will have to buy private insurance just to cover all the depassments and uncovered charges. And such insurance is expensive, even though you're already paying a big portion right out of your paycheck.

After 5 years, you will be paying a lot more for the state insurance and the complementary private insurance than you are paying now. And instead of being treated like a paying customer with rights, the healthcare personnel will treat you with contempt. Because they get their money from the state, not from you.

RE: The Current Health System - Pros and Cons

That's exactly the problem, greed, at every turn.

And that won't change when the state takes over.

The problem with America in general is, above all, greed.
And that greed brought down the whole economy.

RE: The Current Health System - Pros and Cons

The Current Health System - Pros and Cons

Exactly, these healthcare cons are pros.

Health insurance, whether public or private, is a racket.

The entire Insurance company and all its employees is nothing but dead weight added cost on top of any actual healthcare costs.

But it's even worse when the state runs the health insurance scam, because you can't sue the state when they gyp you, and you can't just opt out or go to another company.

The worse thing about state health insurance is that it is the first step in building a soviet type socialist state. Believe me, France is already well on its way.

Why clog our minds with disinformation?

Shall we look closely at a few politicians to see if that's the way they see things?

RE: Is it time for a New World Order?

Ain't that the truth?

Socialism and Communism sound great in theory.
And there is a lot of idealism behind their rise.
But in practice, they are totally dysfunctional, and they quickly morph into the worst sort of tyranny.

RE: Is it time for a New World Order?

Sadly, yes.
It's coming.

But it won't end greed.
It'll just severely limit the number of those allowed to be greedy.

RE: Sell Me on Obamacare

What it boils down to.

RE: its time to wake up! guys in US seve the planet! reduce your consumption and natural usage.

I think we're just about to that point.
That's why they shut down the economy.
Time to prune the tree.
