With perhaps a very few rare exceptions, the suicide bomber is a myth. Usually it involves just blowing up a hidden bomb as somebody passes by. The person can then be called a suicide bomber and any sort of lies can be made up about them.
It serves to portray the people as crazed religious fanatics and (supposedly) justifies occupation and retaliation.
That's why Israel went to great lengths to promote the rise of Hamas. You couldn't very well accuse the secular PLO of being religious fanatics. So Israel created an Islamic group and financed its rise to power in Palestine. It's the "muslim fanatic" image of Hamas that enables Israel to get away with its massacres.
Instead of expensive investigation, arrest, trial, and imprisonment, they can be GITMO'd without trial or even suicided on the spot as "enemy combattants".
No need to even wait around for them to commit a crime or anything.
Just call it pre-emptive police action.
And if they forgot their handkerchief, one can be provided posthumously.
I live in France and I agree with you 100%. There has been total liberty for all types of dress here (up to now) and there has been no problem with it. People do what they like.

First tell me how many Iraqis were taken prisoner during the Iraqi invasion of the US, their massive "shock and awe" bombardment of American cities, and their brutal occupation of the entire US.
And tell me how many American children were killed by the preceeding 10 year Iraqi embargo that prevented food, medecine, and clean water from reaching the kids to keep them alive.
And how many Americans died in the bombardment, invasion, and occupation of the US, or by Iraq's massive and indiscriminate use of radioactive depleted uranium in American cities.
And tell me how patriotic American citizens (civilians) should (and would) react if such events ever really did occur.
Certainly not as hateful as silently ignoring when your country conducts massacres against poor 3rd world countries just to get their oil.

I think God intends us to realize that the books are no more perfect than the humans who wrote, compiled, and assembled them.
We should duly respect the perfect Godly element in the books.
But we should duly acknowledge the imperfect human element in them as well.
I think God wants it that way so we don't go become fanatics.
God may be perfect, eternal, and unchangable. But we humans are imperfect, temporal and we change all the time. From one generation to the next very little remains the same.
Religion is not something that floats down from heaven fully formed.
Men create religion try to bridge the gap between the temporal and the eternal.
Sincere faith will be based on universal truths and will see all people as being equal in God's eyes and seek the common good of all.
Insincere faith will be based on selfish interests and bias, and will promote the interests of one group above all others.
Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all have their sincere believers and their insincere hypocrites.
The major problems don't lie in the original teachings, they lie in the twisted hearts that then twist the scriptures.
We can know them by their fruits. That's how God knows them.

For others, the conspiracy involves powerful financiers, bankers, and leaders of business and industry, who simply use lesser players such as political puppets, insurgent boogymen puppets, media puppets, religious puppets etc etc (on both sides of the fabricated conflict) in order to create very real violence and chaos and to "justify" invasions, wars, massacres, occupations.............etc.
But now to the important question. How to enjoy life in the midst of all that?
Certainly you will admit that it doesn't matter which conspiracy one believes in, life has to go on despite the conspiracy.
My way of forgetting the madness is just to realize that it IS madness and not let myself get drawn into politics or activism or supporting anybody.

I first learned about KBR when they did the South Texas Nuclear Project boodoggle. Years and years of cost over-runs and ignored deadlines, ignored specifications, etc etc etc millions and millions and millions of wasted funds.
For a while the project was cancelled by voters willing to take a total loss rather than continue.
But somehow KBR managed to get the project restarted and many millions later the thing finally got built. Although the design was already obsolete by that time.
