I have a mask like that. It was prescribed by a doctor for a severe case of sleep apnea. But I can't use it. It puts too much pressure on all my sinuses and hurts like hell.
I have an appointment in July and I will try to get the prescribed pressure reduced to a level that I can endure.
For the time being I just use a boxers toothguard to keep my jaws a little separated and that prevents the apnea just as well (in my opinion). But the doctors love the machine, because they get kickbacks from the company that provides it.
I taught English as a second language for many years, and then did technical and medical translations for years after than. If the person is a native English speaker, I don't worry about mistakes. But if they are not anglophone, I feel a commitment to correct their mistakes. But I don't usually say anything at all about it. I just use the corrected form in the "quote" section of the post. Other readers probably won't even notice the corrections but the person who posted it probably will. It's not meant to put them down, just to help them with their language. Getting such feedback is the only way that we can make progress in a foreign tongue. I always appreciate it when people help me with my French.
Bethlehem is in the Palestinian territories, and is supposed to be under control of the Palestinian authority, however all of the territories are dominated by Israeli settlements and Israeli military control.
It's a campaign of ethnic cleansing.
wait for the map to fully load then click on the "enlarge" icon that will appear in the bottom right-hand corner.
Actually from the sound of things, it is HIS house, not "theirs".
The girlfriend seems to be more or less a leech in the situation.
There is always the option of addressing the issue directly to the son if he is reasonably objective. If not, it's a lost cause and time to move.
I had to do something similar once involving my stepson's girlfriend, who was a serious troublemaker within the family, treating people (including my stepson) with disrespect and abusing their kindness and tolerance.
After a couple of years of trying to ignore the situation, I and my wife (at the time) calmly and thoroughly exposed her shenanigans at a family gathering.
Bringing the issue to the surface led to her leaving. And my stepson was actually glad for it.
Of course that won't always be the case.
But sometimes its worth confronting such people rather than just letting them destroy a family's unity.
Thread: why do u live ? Well it wasn't our idea in the first place. But since we're here, might as well enjoy it while we can. It's only a temporary situation anyway.
I've lived in Socialist situations on several occasions both in socialist countries and in communal lifestyle situations.
There are a few advantages, at first. But in the long run, in my experience, socialism always drifts towards totalitarianism, and towards an ever accelerating breakdown of the quality of life. The longer the situation continues, the less rights, and the less opportunity the individual has.
I have seen utopian schemes come and go. I even got drawn into one once at great expense of time, money and effort.
The Venus Project is as flaky as they come. They pretend to have answers to the world's problems.
They babble about a society without money, without laws, without police, etc etc etc etc. Very similar to the dogma of early communism indeed.
But do they have any proof that their theories are more than hot air. No, nothing at all.
At present the entire Venus Project consists of a 25 acre compound in the middle of a swamp in Florida with a few concrete domes. That's their big "research center" that is supposed to revolutionize the world economy and lifestyle.
But guess what. They're selling out. The compound is for sale, for $550,000.
Ten buildings; hurricane resistant, fire resistant, termite resistant, concrete and steel buildings, 5 are domes, 3 homes, 1 office, 2 equipped shops, very large spa, 4 wells, 3 septic tanks.
So much for doing away with money. And what will become of the Venus Project when the "research center" gets sold?? Ask the new owners.
The Venus Project is a cult. It sounds reasonable if you don't delve too deeply. But when you scratch beneath the surface you find all the typical cult BS.
They sell their literature and CDs They ask for donations They are very concerned with raising money.
Look at their plans and ask yourself, would a system like that allow individuals the right to build their own homes on their own land according to their own ideas? No way.
Their idea of a great future is massive urban housing projects, with no private property.
The UAW isn't going to OWN or run Chrysler. FIAT is the one putting in the money. The UAW's part is convincing workers to keep working for less money, and in return the union will have some say so.
Sounds awfully like Communism to me.
I think we're going to be seeing a lot of that sort of thing in the near future.
Yes that's a little different. If they initiates contact there is a slight commitment to at least be polite and respond to the response, once. But that's all.
Personally, if someone doesn't answer my mail, I don't worry about it.
Like Morgan said, it's about the best way to stop communicating without offending someone.
No need to drop hints, no need to spell it out in terms that might hurt their feelings. No need for a scene. Just no response.
Dating site etiquette is somewhat different from real life. Because it's totally private unless you choose to make it public. And it's really just a virtual relationship to start with. It only takes on "reality" after it develops a bit.
If there's anything the English are famous for, it's the stiff upper lip, not getting discouraged easily or letting minory things upset their apple cart.

Not me. I opted out.
