RE: Gaza !! Israel kills civilians ,, among international silence .. What do you think ? share !

Just wait.

The wheels of providential justice grind exceedingly slow.
But they also grind exceedingly fine.

When the cup is full, judgement will occur swiftly.

RE: In memory og Hank Williams

And here's a pain song by Jerry Jeff Walker that catches the spirit of Ol' Hank pretty well.

I Feel Like Hank Williams Tonight

V1
Well I could live my whole life without a phone call
The likes of which I got today
It was only my wife, "hello" and "goodbye"
To tell me she was goin' away

V2
Well I didn't cry, it was all cut and dry
She hung up before I realized
I turned on the stereo and stood by the window
To stare at the storm clouds outside

ref 1
When I'm happy I play Rock and Roll
I play country when I'm losing control
Well I won't play Chuck Berry
The mood's just not right
I feel like Hank Williams tonight

V3
There was no explanation not even a reason
no talk about the good times we had
Was it me was it her, I'm really not sure
and that's why I'm hurting so bad

ref 2
I play classical music when it rains
I play country when I am in pain
Well I won't play Beethoven
It wouldn't seem right
Well I feel like Hank Williams tonight

RE: do you think pot (weed) is good or bad

I suspect that in fact, illegality is precisely a backdoor way to tax marijuana.

Not for the benefit of the government of course, but for the benefit of the powers that be.

Entire truckloads and planeloads of pot cross the border every day with no risk whatsoever of being intercepted, because the fix is in, the "tax" has been paid into the pocket of some high official of government, law enforcement, border control, mafia, CIA, FBI,...etc.

The only pot that is intercepted is the "competition".

It was the same for liquor during the prohibition.
The gangsters loved it, and in every city officials were on the take.

RE: PERIL... enter at your own risk!

I wouldn't say you are doing something "wrong" but I will say that your profile sends a different message than your post here.

Judging from your profile and photos I get the impression you are looking for friends and fun more than a serious relationship.

And evidently your current lifestyle reflects that as well.

If your house is full of male "friends" it's gonna be real awkward for anybody to ever get serious.

Is it perhaps you yourself who avoids getting serious by keeping up the "party girl" front, perhaps as a defense against getting hurt?

I have no idea, I don't know you. But I have seen that situation before.

RE: if he beat you while you were pregnant ?

It'll never get better.
Don't waste any time.
Walk out while you can.

RE: Why do men run from a single parent?

It's not necessarily "running".

There is a big difference between taking a girlfriend and adopting a family.

Once my wife took my kids and left without warning and I didn't see them for 7 years.

A year after they left, I married a woman who had a 9 year old son.

My heartache over the loss of my own kids made it hard to bond with my new wife's son.

Plus, the boy himself was resisting such bonding because he had come to think of himself as the man of the family and resented my intrusion.

What's more, my new wife did not make it easy, because she aligned herself with the boy against me in matters of discipline. (and no I was never harsh or cruel).
She had issues stemming from her former marriage that made her overprotective of her exclusive control over her son.

It took years to reach a real peace with the boy.
In fact it only happened when he was an adult and his mother couldn't get in the way anymore.

All that to say that there can be a lot of factors in the equation and it's really nobody's right to blame a guy for his decision in such a case. It's his life and his choice.

RE: I'm blue

Yeah that's happening to me too. I change threads and I get a message that there is a problem and the window has to close for some reason. Fortunately I found a shortcut way to get back in but it's a real drag and didn't happen before the new site changes.

I liked it better before for that reason.

RE: The Ex Won,the Kids Lost,Where Do You Go From Here?

I had to start over like that once.
It surely does suck, doesn't it?

It's not looking after yourself that's hard.
It's not having the ones you love to look after.

There isn't any easy formula or quick cure.
It's gonna take time.
And it's gonna change you.

Like one song says:

"Life's heartaches can be hard to take
They can make you bitter,
or they can make you break"

That sort of "breaking" has a good side.
It deepens your capacity for understanding and comforting others.
But it hurts so bad.

I hope you have at least one close friend you can confide in through this period.

RE: mans like more woman with blonde or black hair?

Just where is this hair growing?

RE: Will I be able to find the two locals displayed in my family picture, taken 46 years ago?

You'll find 'em. No problem.
Just off a 50 dollar reward.
They'll find you.

RE: blah blah blah

You mean,..."this" isn't real life?

RE: Which country is the main responsible for troubles in the world in your Idea?

It looks like the US is going to win.

RE: let's talk about your imagination about Iran!

Yep,
and then there's those who think the glory lies in doing the slaughtering. Those who think that the world would be a better place without those "other people" around. Some people are actually deluded to the point that they think they are doing something good by making war.

RE: let's talk about your imagination about Iran!

Well, that would be nice.
But my economic situation doesn't allow for much travel nowadays.

RE: let's talk about your imagination about Iran!

I wouldn't say they are comfortable.
In fact behind the scenes, big global interests are provoking and agitating the situation.

War and conflict are big business.

RE: let's talk about your imagination about Iran!

You are welcome.beer

RE: let's talk about your imagination about Iran!

Hi Kitty! Good to see you too.

No, I don't know anything about the "shaking towers".

Yoghurt drink???
I like kifir. Is that what you mean??

I've never been to Iran, but I lived in Indonesia for over a year and I've been to other countries where most of the people are Muslims, and I find them just as normal as anybody else.

I don't buy into the Islamophobia created by those who have a vested interest in establishing western military control in the mideast.

RE: let's talk about your imagination about Iran!

Well the media evangelists certainly don't.
So it balances out.

In every country, the religious sources of the media are really just political shills spreading fear and hatred.
And often as not, the antagonists promoting both sides of the conflict are working for the same global interests.

The rabid mullahs and the rabid tele-evangelists want the same thing: "War".

And they are both paid by the same global interests.

There's money to be made in a war.
There are natural resources to be stolen in a war.
There are human rights abuses to be justified by a war.

War is good for some people.
As long as it doesn't happen right in their own backyard.

RE: let's talk about your imagination about Iran!

As a matter of fact, that often cited "quote" about "wiping Israel off the face of the map" never existed.

That idiom doesn't exist in the Persian language.

What Ahmadinejad actually said was:

"The regime that ocupies Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time."

It's a call for a regime change(we've seen enough of those on the part of the west now haven't we?). And it doesn't even involve a threat of violence. It is in no way a call for the extermination of a nation.

Yellow journalism has long been used to enflame war fever and justify the invasion of innocent countries.

RE: let's talk about your imagination about Iran!

I want to encourage you in your efforts.

I think most people now realize that neither Iraq nor Iran nor Afhanistan ever posed any sort of threat to the west.

In fact those countries have suffered many abuses at the hands of the west. (I won't detail those abuses but the list is very long)

I sincerely hope and pray that there will be no war.

RE: My CS site has gone weird...

Well I'm in France too Phoenix and yes the layout is all different.

I didn't have any server problem, but it was probably just down while they changed the software or something.

RE: The next bailout, maybe?

Bailing out the Titanic won't work.

But it might just provide the skunks the big industrialists some luxury lifeboats (at everybody else's expense).

RE: Fella's do you really understand women..?

Yeah, and then the question of shoes and clothes is the same.

She can cook barefooted and wear maternity clothes.

What more could she want???

RE: I am back......would like to see my friends....where are they?

You and me both MK.

RE: I am back......would like to see my friends....where are they?

Hi and welcome

Texmex loving Texan here.

Did you meet your husband online by any chance?

RE: Lagoona's Greasy Diner...

Good Lord!!!
Those refried beans smell awful!
I could hardly choke down those burritos.

RE: Where are the real nice guys at?

We're all around you.

For we nice guys in the "over the hill" gang,
being "nice" means not hitting on sweet young girls like yourself.

There are no young nice guys.
Due to evolution I think.

RE: i want a euro. guyy... :(

I think you have to wear a lead suit for a couple of half-lives or something like that. At least until you don't glow in the dark.

RE: puzzle

Or.

If instead of 12 months of various lengths, there were 13 months of 28 days:

You could use the same monthly calendar for every month.

If the first of January was a tuesday, the first of every month would be a tuesday etc.

Then at the end of the year there would be an extra day.
That could be a holiday, outside of all months and outside of the weekly system as well.

The extra day of leap year would have to be outside the weekly system as well.

That way the same monthly calendar could serve for all months forever.

The first of every month would always be on the same day of the week etc .

RE: poll: Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday & Why?

I prefer "have a good year-end".
