I think there is no problem with accepting the inevitable changes that comes with life and the universe, but to accept these changes will be made by a red faced horned devil riding on a goat is just too far fetched.

I really don't know where you are going with this post, I know the history of Tibetan Buddhism, it has nothing to do with my response to your castigation of my post.

I will say again, your knowledge is not as complete as you think,especially as you think the Great wall was made to keep the Tibetans out of China.

And I will repeat, the problems surrounding Tibet are incredibly complex and there is NO easy answer.

Finally I will state here and know, I am not taking sides, I have read and learnt from both sides of the argument, I genuinely cannot see where the future will take this and my own personal view is I hope it will end peaceably. I really do try to see both sides argument, but this is so difficult to fully understand I am not prepared to take either side.

So this is where your whole argument falls, it shows your complete lack of understanding, and knowledge and that you are just following hearsay not facts. The Great Wall is nowhere near Tibet, it is built across the northern region of China originally to keep out nomadic tribes and then the Mongolians. Historically China inherited Tibet from the mongolian empire that had attacked and taken Tibet over, when China defeated the Mongolians, Tibet, fell by default to China administration, It was the Chinese Leaders who actually, put in place the original Dalai Lama, and gave him semi autonomous rule.



No where have I said that what China is doing or have done is right, what I said and stand by is that the problems surrounding Tibet, is not a simple one and that it will take years to come up with a solution that appeases the world in general.

Oh and if you know the Dalai Lama so well, you of all people should know that he agrees that China has the right to control Tibet, and he actually has stated he does NOT want independence, but a greater level of control given to him,and it is this more than anything that has stopped the Chinese government from further negotiations.
I am genuinely sorry for the native Tibetans, they have been appallingly treated by both their own governing system and the Chinese, and they deserve better. They are a fantastic people and I enjoyed my time there immensely.
But I, like thousands of others, have no practical way to improve their lives or to persuade the CPC to give up their clam on Tibet, hopefully the investment made by the CPC in schools hospitals etc will in some small way compensate for this terrible state of affairs.

Have to agree with you,sometimes its better to deal with the devil you know, rather than the one you don't.
For four years all we have heard is scare stories about Obama and whether he is truly American, if Romney gets in all we will hear for 4 years is how he is a tax dodging conniving liar.
I await the result with interest!!

And just how will he increase employment by the amount he has promised?? Maybe he has Harry Potter to help and cast a few spells. Romney is as full of Sh$t as all the other politicians, time will show he is no better than Obama, that is of course if, and its still a big if, he wins!!

China will give up Tibet when someone persuades 1.3 billion people that Tibet does NOT belong to China,
Not one person I have asked has any doubt whatsoever that Tibet is as Chinese as Shanghai, this is what they have been taught, their history proves China has almost always ruled Tibet, why would 1.3 billion Chinese believe the lies of the west over the lies of their own country???

As far as I can see it is a complete stalemate, with no winners!!

You may not know this, but.......

Objects are often given a gender, here are some suggestions.

FREEZER BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

PHOTOCOPIERS: These are female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again. They are an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong Buttons.

TYRES: Tyres are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated

HOT AIR BALLOONS: Also a male object, because to get them to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under their butt.

SPONGES: These are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain water.

WEB PAGES: Female, because they're constantly being looked at and frequently getting hit on.

Believe me when I say there is nothing good regarding Microsoft and Mr Gates, this man took more than a few ideas from others, got other people to rework those ideas and then started selling DOS, and never reimbursed those who helped build his empire, without Steve Wozniak (Co founder of Apple Inc) gates would never have had a decent OS and certainly never have produced MSOffice. MS Excel was ported to DOS from Wozniak's design of spreadsheet software for the Apple 1. As was MS Word.
But hey, Windows is a mass seller, so it all came good, for Mr gates, and, he does his bit for charity, just watch out if he does take control of satellite technology, because then he will be watching YOU!!!!!!

I am happy to acknowledge your opinion, but disagree, Apple did not become the richest company in the world by selling poor or useless systems, in fact without Apple you would probably be paying 10 times more for a desktop computer, and Microsoft would play second fiddle to IBM.
Apple produce well designed and desirable electronic equipment, with an excellent customer service.
However, those that don't like or want Apple can always choose something else, such as Linux based systems, I use both Apple and Linux computers, I like them both and feel both have areas they excel in, but why knock something just because its expensive or "in Vogue" ? To me that just smacks of jealousy.

For you information, Apple, under Steve Jobs, took his own OS named Next, a derivative of UNIX, and had that used as the base OS for Macs and IOS, BSD is also a unix based system and is open sourced, so no copying occurred!
Linux is a separate derivative of Unix!

I have been in China almost 4 years now, travelled extensively and have NEVER seen a curry shop, in fact, never even seen curry on a menu.
Possibly because it is an Anglo-Chinese dish available only in Europe!!

So maybe the banks that caused the problem should pay all their profits directly to the countries that loaned the money that saved them, I am sorry, but if I borrow from a bank to buy a house and then hit bad times, no bank will agree to my telling them, don't worry, I can't pay now but in twenty years I may be in a better position, they would make me pay something at the very least. Iceland's GDP is growing, albeit slowly, they should honour their debt and at least try to pay something, that would make the rest of the world more confident in them and so increase investment which in turn will help rebuild a stronger economy.
