Actually not true, American English is only taught in the US of A, and south America, every european country is taught British English, as are those in India, and the middle east. However, in China, and certain other Asian countries they also teach a smattering of American as it helps to stop the confusion, where is is explained that American English is lazy English and that we should feel sorry for their lack of ability to use the language as it was intended.
I think Kaybee has it right as people often portray a very different persona from behind the anonymity of the computer, whereas in real life they would say and react very differently to a face to face encounter.
As for learning skills of detection regarding trustworthiness or commitment, it's almost impossible to do so via the internet as humans use body language as a means of forming opinions as well as the spoken language. Facial expression is almost always used when forming an opinion about trust.
Which countries don't get along with each other? I rather think it is the Governments that have problems with each other not the actual man in the street. That kind of depends on which language you are using, English is often very ambiguous and open to misinterpretation, hence why French is the legal language of Europe, as there is little ambiguity and not easy to misunderstand.
The German government did no more than any other stronger member state! How much of YOUR taxes have gone to pay off lesser member states? and how will you get YOUR money back? Germany has proven time and time again they are ONLY concerned about themselves and fect the rest of the EU!!

Tim Aker, of the Get Britain Out group, said: “This new mechanism shows how dire the EU’s finances are. Its eurozone bailout mechanism has failed, so now it wants one for non-eurozone states.”
Tory MP Douglas Carswell said: “This sounds like a slush fund to bribe countries to try to get their political elites to join their crazed monetary project.
“The EU should be looking to assist countries to escape the euro, not join it.”
How can you and all the rest of the UK tax payers afford this??

Why one asks, not because they are concerned for public safety or out of genuine concern to do their duty, as Starbucks is one of the major Tax defrauders across the world. And here in China, you still find people smoking inside let alone outside. Starbucks another word for two faced!!!

You may not be aware , but even here in China, Mao no longer holds the reverence he once had, and that his actions are a deep shame for the younger generations. Maybe American youth will do the same regarding Bush etc, but somehow I doubt it!!

What happens to the drug users who have no money for their next fix? they rob, steal even murder, and who pays for that?? The insurance companies, who then increase YOUR contributions!!
What about the woman who is "lazy" who sells her body, putting her life at risk, and spreading STD's and who infect many and therefore have to be treated, who pays the medical bills, the insurance, who then increase YOUR contributions!!
Who pays for the cleaning up of diseases caused by the tramps sleeping rough all over cities? the local government who increase YOUR contributions via tax! etc etc etc.
I don't actually agree with government handouts, but I can see the reasonings behind them, without such benefits you will end up with a society of desperate 4th class people who would threaten the very existence of those who consider themselves better off.
Rather than just making sweeping statements that welfare makes people lazy, why not make suggestions on how to encourage and help those less fortunate to find work. Why not invest money in well run support homes for those unable to actually work in everyday jobs, to still make their lives worthwhile and productive?
It's so easy (lazy even) to criticise those whom we consider beneath us, the hard job is to find a way to solve this worldwide problem.
In certain cultures it would be for the man to show his property title deeds, his platinum American Express card and keys to a Merc or BMW. In others it would start in the morning with breakfast in bed and continue until late in the evening
