RE: how long is your wire?

Don't you mean UNDER 10 years old? Modern cars have far more cabling than older ones with all the electrical devises they now have, the cable on a 1990 Austin Mini is a fraction of that used on a new BMW Mini.

RE: University education

Wow chip on your shoulder or what!!!

Not a word about "working class" students studying the Beatles or Elvis Costello? Just bad mouth all middle or upper-class hey?

Well for your information I come from a good middle class family, had a public school education and then went to a good university to obtain two Bsc's and after 5 years of full time working returned to study for an M.Ed. Not all middle class people are idiots any more than not all working class students are lazy and mostly drunk or high on drugs.

Universities vary just as all schools from primary to high vary, your experience shows that perhaps you went to a poor university, a Poly Tech that purported to be a uni maybe, had you gone to a red brick or ox-bridge maybe your coloured view would be very different

RE: Name a Greek word in English, used in your own language.Part 2

skatmilame = verbal diarrhoea from skata meaning faeces and milame meaning talking

RE: Will depopulation eventually occur?

If you look at world demographics, it shows that the poorest countries have the largest families, so perhaps we just need to educate these regions better on how to reduce the number of babies and so save on food and water,

Better disciplined countries tend to limit children to one or two, by a natural decision rather than having a law as in China, hopefully within the next 50 years all countries will follow the one/two child rule voluntarily.

What's outside your window?

RE: University education

It's not just course fees, you also need to take accommodation, food and books into consideration. My son is studying to become a PE teacher. 9000 uk pounds for the course. Plus 10000 for accommodation etc per year!!

RE: The London F1 ‘dream’ that could become a reality

It's a crazy idea just to add to Ecclestones pocket. The disruption created would nullify any sporting achievements. Better to give donnington a chance. At least more ordinary people would have a chsnce to spectate, only the chosen few would get to watch in London.

RE: A heredity head of state or an elected one.???

UKIP doesn't want to lose immigrants who have a full time job and who contribute to the society, they want the hangers on and unemployed to be removed and to limit others from entering the UK I can't see anything wrong with that.

RE: A heredity head of state or an elected one.???

One cannot help but wonder how financially stable Greece would be today, had they not kicked out King Constantine II in the early 70's, at least he loved his country, which is more than can be said of the present leaders!!

RE: A heredity head of state or an elected one.???

The lack of response says it all, another thread to stir rather than serious discussion.

RE: A heredity head of state or an elected one.???

Why?

RE: Gun Confiscation: Connecticut Tells “Unregistered” Gun Owners to Surrender Firearms

Where are they breaking the bill of rights? registering a weapon is not against anything I can see in the constitution.

RE: Are women just in the relationship for the money ?

Your derogatory comments regarding my posts say more about you than me, you jump to conclusions without fully understanding what was being written, your assumptions are just that assumptions.
First you don't know me, so how do you make such judgements? Happily you won't get the chance to know me!!
I made a comment based on facts that I know and understand, unlike you I cannot comment on all other races as I don't have the experience or factual information, which you obviously do. Of course some women the world over want a secure relationship, I never said otherwise, yet you insist I have, of course some women all over the world may think a man needs to be successful in order to be attracted to them, I never said they didn’t, yet you insist I did!!
I pointed out, that in MY opinion, love should be more important than the financial wellbeing of a prospective partner, yet not once have you suggested the same, by using your logic, I should immediately jump up and say you don’t want love you want money.
Secondly, you made the assumption I don't like Asian women, whereas the opposite is closer to the truth. I actually find Asian women very kind thoughtful and usually very beautiful, both inside and out.
I live in China and holiday in other Asian locations, if I didn’t like Asians I would live and work somewhere else, so get off your high horse and stop spreading defamatory remarks about someone you don’t know and never will, based solely on your own jaundiced opinions.

RE: Does the personality one has on Skype represent one's true personality?

Skype is just a tool, used to communicate, to say its bad or can give you problems is rather unfair, it does what it is supposed to do, but the way it is used can cause problems.

RE: Does the personality one has on Skype represent one's true personality?

Read my post more clearly, I said MOST not all, and where did I say I don't like Asian women??

Are you denying that its Chinese culture to find a prospective male partner, by making sure the man has a house and secure job??

After living in your country for 5 years I understand this culture, I don't agree with it, but the fact remains that it exists today.

The females in China are still regarded as a "Thing" the responsibility of her parents until handed over to her new husband, who then takes over that responsibility, girls are not supposed to become independent, hence the importance of finding someone who can offer security by having a good income and already possess a home.

RE: Does the personality one has on Skype represent one's true personality?

The only thing most Asian women are interested in looking at is what kind of house he owns and how big is his wallet, personality and communication never come into the equation.

RE: Does the personality one has on Skype represent one's true personality?

It's unanswerable, as until you actually know the person how can you form a true opinion about their personality??
Skype is no different to any other form of communication, you can meet someone in a post office, supermarket or bar, and still not really know if they are being real or just putting on a front to impress.
Time is what counts not the media you are using professor

RE: Interracial Dating

Apologies for the thread hijack,

Regarding interracial dating, where's the problem, where is it written that one race can only breed within that same race? In 200 years when we have exchange visits with aliens from other planets I guess this same question will come up, with similar answers sadly

RE: Interracial Dating

Seems a shame the same law makers cannot use the same argument regarding the right to bear arms, one rule for them, another for the people cheers

RE: Why do people go off topic in a thread.

Its one of the reasons why this site is more popular than certain other dating sites that have forums with fixed rules, the forums on CS are made more interesting and create more participants due to the wide interpretation of any given topic. Some OP's become power mad and cannot see that what they view as off topic is actually an extension of the original topic.

RE: Keeping you safe!

Hi wave

Not that I would ever dream of bribing an officer to ignore my driving though a stop sign by accident wink But I have heard it happens sometimes

RE: Keeping you safe!

I live in China, so all the police are open to corruption and bribes
laugh

RE: Unpredicatable

The problem with dating sites, not just CS but all of them , is that they are like a sweetshop to a child, you see one sweet that looks yummy, buy it then see another that seems even better, so you buy that too, then as you leave another one catches your eye screaming "buy me buy me!!" so you get that as well, when you get home you don't know which one to eat first, so you take a little of each, eventually, you find the one that really hits the spot for you, and dump the others.

Life can be cruel, but hopefully we will all find that special and delicious sweet that we will have for ever.

RE: Is George Clooney right????

This whole thread is a good use for the greek word "Hubris"sigh

RE: Is George Clooney right????

With this comment and attitude, you have shown the world your total ignorance to the worlds historic antiquity and exactly why the Elgin marbles should remain in the UK, there is nothing more to be said!!!

RE: Is George Clooney right????

Now you're just showing your ignorance Chris, the UK is hardly a child historically speaking, Stone henge is more than 6000 years old at the latest estimate and almost intact, Bath city pre-dates the Roman era and yet we can still use the facilities the Romans built,I cannot think of a town or city in the UK that does NOT have a museum and yes, we also dig up ancient relics from pre-Anglo-Saxon to medieval times and newer, so don't think Greece has the monopoly of ancient culture, architecture or history, however wonderful your history is, there are other countries with older and possibly more colourful histories than yours. Like I said, stop being narrow minded and open your eyes to the whole world.
