I've prepared for mine, although some years away, but plan for huge amounts of sun, sleep and San Miguel, in no specific order lol. On a tropical island, with palm tree lined beaches.
I had invested in a home on Rhodes, but when the Greek economy fell, pulled out and bought a place in the Philippines
It depends on the location, here in Hong Kong everywhere you look there are foot massage stores, often with a waiting list. All are legitimate and even though some offer "extras", all are legal. The owner of the foot massage place in this hotel, drives a Lamborghini so I guess it is a profitable business.
Actually this is a dating forum, with a political section, very different.
But thank you for all your posts, I use them as examples in my lectures, to show how not to write English. So in a way, you are helping to make China a better place, well done.
You say you don't hate jews, I reserve the right to not believe you, I think you like the idea of cold blooded murder, rather than negotiation.
Have you ever visited Israel? I very much doubt that you have, then you would understand the jealousy of the surrounding nations, because the Israelis turned a desert into flourishing farmland. They have transformed a desolate area into a wonderful country, and now their neighbours want some of that too, but without the years of hard work and toil.
As for your fanciful ideas about Israel not being legitimate, even the Palestinians agree that land was theirs, the disagreement now is the unoccupied land between Israel and Palestine.. Do try to understand the actual discussion!
You are fighting a losing battle, Chris has a closed mind, it is obvious that he refuses to acknowledge the proven historical facts, and prefers to support a terrorist run country full of cowards and murderers.
You can show the exact same historical claims made by the Greeks regarding their own country, but that was all okay, because he is Greek
Some just hate the Jews, and will never allow them peace!!
I guess it tells us a lot about how you can support the cowardly murdering of people. The guy drove a truck into a group of people, and then reversed back over those he had knocked over, just to make sure.
I am sorry, but that is not showing a peaceful way to negotiate.
I have to go along with this reasoning, however, I would add that some technology is more harmful than useful. I believe Technology will make humans become lazy, in basic human function and worse in education, the couch potato syndrome.
And what really terrifies me, is the organic computer, at this time, if a computer starts to control us, we can always pull the plug and it dies, with organic computers that is just not possible
And so the murders continue, all those that support Palestine take not of how Hamas have reacted to the latest bloodshed in Jerusalem.
From the BBC today
"Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat called on residents not to "let terror win" and said militants would "pay a heavy price". "There is no limit to the cruelty of the terrorists who are willing to use any means possible to murder Jews and to damage the life routine of Israel's capital," he said. The Palestinian militant group Hamas praised the attacker, according to the Associated Press. Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif Qanou called it a "heroic" act and encouraged other Palestinians to "escalate the resistance"." "Four people have been killed in Jerusalem by a Palestinian who rammed a lorry into a group of soldiers, in what police say was a terrorist attack. Three women and one man, all in their twenties, were killed and at least 13 more were wounded, police said."
I don't regret my marriages, I have wonderful Children that would never exist but for those relationships. I regret the failures but hope I have learnt from the past mistakes to make a lasting relationship in the future.
Regret is a negative emotion and I prefer to look at life as positive
I mainly agree, but sadly those in power in Israel are now turning away from a bi-lateral state, dismayed to have to say this as a Jew, but I am very disappointed in the Israeli leadership. I don't have a problem with the UN saying it's wrong, I do have a problem when they turn a blind eye to countries around Israel, that are doing far worse. By rejecting Israel rather than looking for a peaceful solution, they are going to cause more bloodshed, not less. Hamas will now use this as carte blanche to attack. Netanyahu is using the international law to create the settlements, the law states "No Occupied land can be used as a settlement, his argument is that the land they are using was not only unoccupied, but stateless, as Palestine had never claimed it as theirs, until the Israelis had started to cultivate it. So its a kind of "6 of one and half of the other" as to who is right, the UN could have been far clearer in their rules and none of this would have happened. They should have made more discussion with Israel, rather than create resolution after resolution, which has done nothing but undermine the Israeli fight for their freedom. In fairness Netanyahu is the biggest problem, if he goes then the moderates have a greater chance of making a peaceful settlement. But he is too powerful and has some unsavoury close friendships.
Happy New Year to you also, let's hope it can be a peaceful and prosperous one, for us all.
I agree that they have done good work in the past, my point was that they are no longer impartial, and as long as their decisions are biased against one side and not another, then their credibility falls, and so they have lost the respect needed to carry out their peace making. To pick n one country, and do nothing to other countries that are carrying out human death is totally wrong, what Israel is doing is wrong, but compared to the human torture, deaths and the use of Children as military, is by far a worse situation, yet nothing is said against those countries.
Age/time are not relevant, either things previously owned should be returned or not. Yes or No Chris
However, the Marbles were paid for, not stolen, while the jews were pushed out of their lands by who had built up a hatred for them. They never abndoned their holy lands, and have continuously worshipped there since 1500BC.
Always best to adhere to history, rather than media gossip and negative agendas.
This proves my point, that you do not understand, as I stated clearly, that the UN have become biased and are being controlled to action an agenda, an agenda to allow Israel to crumble and the west to do nothing to support them!
Oh dear, so your argument for the UK to return the Marbles has just crashed Chris, because if you use your argument for their return, as they once belonged to Greece and now you want them returned, it is exactly what the Israelis are saying and you disagree.
So which is it? Let the Israelis live in the land that was theirs in the first place and have a claim on the Marbles, or the opposite?
PS if you get a really nice bottle of wine, for your upcoming dinner party, your guests will appreciate the gesture, and because you all partake in sharing it, no pressure is made for them to return the favour.
Like many, you only listen to one side of a very big and multifaceted story. It might be useful to look into the history of the Jewish people, you may find that their roots are somewhat similar to those of todays Arabs.
Why do you think Jerusalem is so important to Judaism?
Also remember that Judaism started almost 2000 years before Christianity, in the regions which are known today as Syria/Palestine. This is a proven fact and cannot be disputed. The ownership of those lands, however, has been many and confused, which is why we still have the problem today.
I don't recall seeing gas chambers in Tel Aviv, or seeing thousands of Arabs being put on death trains. I suggest before you criticise the way Israel has cultivated and built up a desert into a green and livable land, you actually visit the country. Tel Aviv, the only middle East country where you will find Christian Churches, Islamic Temples and Jewish synagogs, all frequented and never any fighting. Now while I disagree with some of the settlements created by the Israelis, the fact remains that over the years it is always the Israelis who put forward peace plans, open for discussion and every time the Palestine's back out off any talks. The Israeli Military have never used Children, either as martyrs or as shields, neither have they used schools as places to stockpile ammunition and soldiers.
Next time you criticise a poster for bad spelling, can I suggest you check your own first, corrected for free, (this time)
Like what? So far they have created a resolution against the only democracy in the ME, the only nation in the ME where people of different religions are living together without killing each other continuously. And yet they turn a blind eye to the atrocities and war mongering of other countries completely. That is not being impartial nor is it creating Peace, but actually doing the reverse as those nations that want to destroy Israel, will now think they have the blessings of the UN.
Strange that the one country that wants peace is the one country that gets a knife in its back. Sad indeed.
I used to firmly believe that the UN was a good and just organisation, but in the last 12 months, more and more biased and unfair resolutions have been put forward by so-called UN experts, ideas that in the real world have little to do with the original purpose of the UN.
The goals of the United Nations are:
to keep world peace to help countries get along to improve living conditions for people all over the world and to make the world a better place
To use lies and half truths as a means to take sides, is totally against the original premise.
I vote it should go, as no longer "fit for purpose".
Maybe it should be put to the test? Let's start a new election campaign. With Pluto for the Dems and Coyote for the Reps, and this time, we can use the one man one vote system, so whichever gets the greatest number of votes wins.
After al,l whichever does win, they would be a hundred time better than the last two choices
I too have travelled, and found it rather enlightening, to see people in their own local, as then the customs and traditions I didn't understand or maybe even disliked, started to make sense to me, not saying I grew to like them all, but had a better understanding as to why they arose in the first place. So making it easier to tolerate.
