What other Organization would you replace the UN with?

rizlared: I used to firmly believe that the UN was a good and just organisation, but in the last 12 months, more and more biased and unfair resolutions have been put forward by so-called UN experts, ideas that in the real world have little to do with the original purpose of the UN.
The goals of the United Nations are:
to keep world peace
to help countries get along
to improve living conditions for people all over the world
and to make the world a better place
To use lies and half truths as a means to take sides, is totally against the original premise.
I vote it should go, as no longer "fit for purpose".

Reorganised yes.
But this is the first time in ages I have seen the UN having the balls to do anything, so there is hope for it.

Like what? So far they have created a resolution against the only democracy in the ME, the only nation in the ME where people of different religions are living together without killing each other continuously.
And yet they turn a blind eye to the atrocities and war mongering of other countries completely. That is not being impartial nor is it creating Peace, but actually doing the reverse as those nations that want to destroy Israel, will now think they have the blessings of the UN.
Strange that the one country that wants peace is the one country that gets a knife in its back. Sad indeed.

Wanting peace by taking other people's land and homes is not the kind of peace I see as sustainable.
Israel has been carte blanche to do whatever they want for too many years. It is about time that someone said enough is enough.
Should the UN do the same with other countries? Yes they should. But at least they have made a start.

The only thing that the UN have said to Israel is that they should stop building illegally on land that isn't theirs.
Am I absolutely disgusted by many of the practices in the ME? Of course I am. Anybody would be, especially a woman.

Voting must be equal in UN amongst country members.
First the 5 permanent Members system must go.
Implementing the vote of the majority and force those members who voted against, to be a part in a majority vote willy nilly..

Sad really for a country created because of the German atrocities against them, during WW2,Trying to expand and claim more Arab land of what was given in 1947, as well using the same apartheit tacticts the Germans used against them...

I don't recall seeing gas chambers in Tel Aviv, or seeing thousands of Arabs being put on death trains. I suggest before you criticise the way Israel has cultivated and built up a desert into a green and livable land, you actually visit the country. Tel Aviv, the only middle East country where you will find Christian Churches, Islamic Temples and Jewish synagogs, all frequented and never any fighting.
Now while I disagree with some of the settlements created by the Israelis, the fact remains that over the years it is always the Israelis who put forward peace plans, open for discussion and every time the Palestine's back out off any talks.

No , its always been open to manipulation . Still is , just by another political group that is the challenge of our time . Current stunt pulled by Kerry and Obama is serious and will effect Israel badly . But it would not be for the UN Israel would not exist , nor would South Korea .The goals of the United Nations are:

Should definitely be disbanded. Its actions have turned it into an irrelevant institution, they do not meet any of the goals mentioned above.
The institution that is capable of :
- placing Saudi Arabia in charge of its human right committee,
- completely ignoring and falsifying the ME history to "humour" its muslim members,
- acting in favour of human smugglers in the current "refugee" situation,
- etc.
should not exist!
