Since my last post about Peggy, she has had further tests and most recently, my daughter and her husband have had a consultation with the oncologist.
The oncologist explained that surgery is an option however he was very open in saying that there's no guarantee of a cure, given the cancer has already spread to Peggy's lymph glands.
There would be a lengthy post-operative recovery period, aside from the risk of her going into anaphylactic shock and dying on the operating table.
They have made the decision not to put Peggy through all this but to manage her care with medication, pain relief and vet advice as time passes.
The oncologist supported this decision, have to say I do too.
Peggy appears to be ok at present, my daughter is going to continue with the love and care that Peggy has always had and help her live her best life to the end of her days.
