RE: CPR

Had to do a course for the Social Services and part of the training was C.P.R. We all had to practise on this lifelike doll and believe me it suffered a few cracked ribs in the process.Alarm bells going off all over the place!!!!!!!!!! Not an easy thing to do,but well worth knowing wave

RE: MILESTONES IN LIFE - E.G. THE BIG 50

Age is just that,a number added on every year and should be just that. All this talk about "life begins at 40"! It starts from the first day you draw breath and ends on the last gasp. What you do in between is what counts ,and every DAY should be a milestone and treated as such.

I was 70 this year and spent it in bed with Nova Virus.sigh

Always remember yesterday is history,

Tomorrow is a mystery,

Today is a gift.

Enjoy your 50th for what it is, your Birthday.happy birthday

Dividing out the wealth in divorce.

That's sad, especially as you probably put more in to the marriage in the long run. Most cases in the U.K. are settled either in or out of court, depending on the circumstances.wave

Dividing out the wealth in divorce.

I hear what you are saying but this was just a wealth issue.wave

Dividing out the wealth in divorce.

Have to agree in principle, and yes get it cut and dried.Unfortunately there appear to be some devious couples out there.By the way sometimes it's the women that need to be open about money too,as they can also be high earners.wave

RE: wine time

Is that with an "h" or without. After all it is the forums!rolling on the floor laughing

Dividing out the wealth in divorce.

I agree with you. There was a case in question where a couple lived quite modestly for years then got divorced and she received a paltry sum. Some time later she discovered that he had been living a double life during the marriage, lived in a huge house and had since married the other woman!sigh

Dividing out the wealth in divorce.

I have recently read about many divorces where there are divisions about the distribution of the accumulated wealth. There is a now a case in question whereby someone delved too deeply into the husband's finances causing hidden wealth to be discovered.

If a woman has put her life and sometimes career on the back burner to raise the family and be a social support to the husband after many years of marriage, surely she is entitled to a decent settlement. We all know that there are those out there who would rip the shirt off a man's back, but in the most genuine of cases ,how far should they be allowed to "dig" to uncover the family finances. What's your take on this?

RE: I always wonted to know...

I'm Capricorn and born in the middle of my star sign so no interference from other signs. We are solid dependable people, but don't suffer fools gladly.

Never tangle with a Capricorn unless you want to feel his horns up your backside!!!!!!!!!

RE: What kind of shopper are you?

I spend what I need to make my life comfortable.I never skimp on food, have no need for all the latest fashion,as am comfortable in whatever I wear be it dressing up or dressing down.

I can think of nothing more boring than traipsing in and out of high street shops.Does my head in [and my feet!] doh
