Hi there,

No way did you cause me offence personally. My point was that on a daily basis we have to read about your President in many of the threads on here and it gets a bit tedious.

We all live in the same world and lets face it you dont see the rest of the world posting about Gordon Brown,Zarkozy, Stephen Harper,Zapatero etc,etc.

Yes we have choices as to what we read on here, but they are getting a bit thin on the ground with so many on just one subject.

As someone stated it was in the jokes thread.You obviously think it's funny.Not my kind of humour I'm afraid. Keep it to the politics or current events threads.j.m.o.

Yes I did take note.I am just sick of reading good, bad, and indifferent threads on the man. It's like a broken record.What purpose does it serve.The man has been elected and is there for the duration.Get over it.

I haven't watched it fervently but what I have seen does upset me at times ,though not because I think that some of the contestants have special needs.

The panel presumably don't know who has applied to try for the show at first, as they don't do personal interviews,just throw them all into the mix so to speak.

What I do NOT like is the spiteful remarks made by Simon Cowell who has made his money out of people brave enough to make fools of themselves in public.Even more so with a live audience. We had the same problem in Britain's got talent with Susan Boyle,an amazing lady with a wonderful voice ,but unable to cope with the pressure due to her personal problems.

People with special needs such as autism etc have exceptional untapped talent which the world never gets to experience.They could put some of the so called singers to shame, but then we would be accused of exploitation.Where do you draw the line and stop people doing something they have only dreamed about.j.m.o.

Any true friend would keep in touch with you anyway but not necessarily through this website. We all have different agendas and sometimes when you get involved with a partner, it becomes time consuming, and for a moment it's possible that you forget about the contacts that you have made along the way.

Anyone worth their salt and genuine would want to keep that contact up if a friendship has been formed.Others choose to move on .It's all a matter of choice at the end of the day.

Not my political field I must say but don't you think you have made a sweeping statement about a man who has been in office less than a year.

I assume that you put no blame on past governments.

As usual another occupier of The White House has to spring clean and get rid of all the debris left by previous tenants.

This is the norm when a government has had total control for too long.British politics are no different .18 years of Thatcherism was too much for the British public so they traded her in . Now look at the mess BRitain is in! It happens all over the world not just in the States.

It's all about family and health really.Big 70 looming in January and here alone.Miss my grandaughter and best friend so time to downsize and have another last adventure in England.The old girl is still up for a life!

Hi Summer Long time no speak! I'm leaving sunny Spain in October after 7 years and returning to the U.K.Personally I can't wait to do a Gene Kelly and cool off I'm sure Morgan will think I've lost my marbles!

People hurt themselves by not being sensible and seeing the bigger picture.It's so easy to get swept along on a tidal wave of emotion but some need to take a reality check. Perhaps this thread will open people's eyes,and remind us about being careful but I doubt.

My Mother had money, and my stepfather systematically destroyed her relationships with her children for his own greed. Mum was 13 years older than him so at 89 he could manipulate her.Sad but true.

He has passed now and all my family mementos are with strangers as he had no family.Again very sad.It was never about money as we are all ok but the photos etc,that's my heritage that has been taken away.

I have lived in Spain for 7 years and have just sold my property and moving bck to Bournemouth on the 25th October God willing.Am really looking forward to the rest of my life with family and friends.
