Oh I know, they´ve deleted a few of mine which were actually me in younger days with my kids, and a couple which did not show all my face. However they were all me, yet others get away with fake bodies and their faces superimposed....it doesn´t make sense really.
I don´t mean you dumbo! Yours is a temporary pic and not something you do all the time. I mean those that do it all the time, you know regularly changing their pic for a falsie.
I think some are humorous and posted with temporary, light hearted intent, but I wonder why people really do it. Yes it catches attention and makes people smile if they are funny, myself included at times, but sometimes I think oh c´mon don´t be silly.
I would rather see genuine pics, not heads posted onto bodies of celebs or models, or cartoon pics.(Animals I don´t mind because they are..well obviously animals or pets of their owners and often cute)
Some fragile people are taken in by fake pics, therefore those that do so may well be doing themselves a real disservice in my opinion.
Exactly. Any organisation which is supposed to be independent politically speaking, and keeps an eagle eye on injustice around the world has to be a good thing.
I´m too tired to think of any "U" groups which haven´t already been posted, but I´m going to be the first to post V....one of my all time faves, Van Morrison, whether I´m too early or not Pat!
I´ve already posted here, but having read all the posts I still believe that we all have different views on what is "brutally" honest, or not, depending on what the receiver is willing to accept without getting too upset. We see it here. Posts which I or others think are offensive under the guise of being "honest" are viewed as funny or acceptable by others.
As I´ve implied, and of course only in my opinion "Brutally honest" is a misnomer really as it means a totally different thing to each and every one of us.
I´ll reiterate my own thoughts on the matter... be honest, but also try to be as tactful or diplomatic as possible so as not to intentionally hurt someone´s feelings. Not easy in some circumstances, but the best course of action.
I have never had to justify my atheism to anybody in all the countries I´ve lived and worked in. My friends there, as I´ve already said accepted me without exception regardless of any differences in religious beliefs.
Why are my beliefs questioned, and somewhat ridiculed here by people I don´t know nor know me I ask myself?
But what if someone planted something on me without my knowledge? I would be dead just for an extra seat on the plane for that cheapskate waiting for a standby flight!
I don´t know any personally, but I do know two fantastic, warm Canadian born women living here in Spain. One is in her twenties, the other in her fifties, and both are great friends.
However, I did grow up with religious teaching, not forced upon me by my parents whatsoever, but nevertheless a part of my education, which I wanted to continue after class hours because I enjoyed it.
I decided when I was 15 years old that there was no God, but like you I am happy to embrace anybody regardless of their religious views, and indeed have friends of all religions. I love them, they love me, it isn´t a deal breaker for sensible, well adjusted folk.
Avoid fruit to lose weight: The sugar in them will be stored as fat ‘Five-a-day is the most well-known piece of nutritional advice,’ says Harcombe. ‘You’d think it was based on firm evidence of health benefit. Think again! ‘Five-a-day started as a marketing campaign by 25 fruit and veg companies and the American National Cancer Institute in 1991. There was no evidence for any cancer benefit.’
Myth: Fruit and veg are the most nutritious things to eat Apparently not. Harcombe allows that vegetables are a great addition to the diet — if served in butter to deliver the fat-soluble vitamins they contain — but fructose, the fruit sugar in fruit, goes straight to the liver and is stored as fat. Fruit is best avoided by those trying to lose weight, says Harcombe, who adds: ‘Vitamins and minerals in animal foods — meat, fish, eggs and dairy products — beat those in fruit hands down.’
I´m not a lover of fruit except red berries and worried about the fact that I wasn´t eating enough of it in the past. I now restrict the fruit, or at least eat it only when I feel like it. However, I do take Vitamin C with bioflavonoids and free of additives on a daily basis, as prescribed by my homeopath.
I´m the oldest of my three siblings and my two brothers are exactly the same...protective and worried when I move around from country to country. However, they have never "written me off" as you say, and remain in constant contact with me.
Look, families nowadays often live far apart from each other. Keeping in contact and visiting as often as possible is the key.
Fake profile pics.
God you are too!Help I´m being lured into some weird female CS cult.
