Nature abhors a vacuum. Something will fill the space left behind. Best be proactive and ensure it's something healthy & wholesome. Could that be CS? Maybe, maybe not. Up to you.
You are quite right, the distance factor is the main problem on CS or any similar site. How can you build a relationship with someone you cannot actually meet tomorrow or next week or next month? That's a very important question. Even more important though is the answer: somehow, you can. Love (or attraction, if you will) transcends mileage. It's quite reasonable to hope to meet someone who lives within 25 or 50 or 100 miles of you. But love is not reasonable. My own sweetheart's profile specifies men within 100 miles. Yet we live 800 miles apart. Neither of us planned this, of course. But that is what happened and now we try to work out the obstacles, rather than let the obstacles stymie us. I mean to give you heart here, but I might as well add, if it is obvious a contact knows nothing of your profile beyond name and pic, they are not worth your time. Please don't give up hope. CS can work, as I and Trulee (and others) can attest. I've not viewed your profile myself, but your statement that you reply to all indicates a sensitive and caring person. If you give it time I believe you will find someone to love here. How long that might be no one can guess. But it does happen, and it might be tomorrow.
Amity..I can understand your shock...but you are missing a Golden Opportunity to mock the guy. C'mon, relax, poke fun! You act as though you'd never seen a winky-winky before.
In the span of time IMs have supposedly been down I have received at least two. However I do not know how those users initiated them because I can find no IM "button" except when in the chat room, which can only be used on others in chat.
I dunno about that...there seem to be quite a few younger folk here as well. Whether the site is "much use" to them I cannot guess, but they are here. As for doing what it claims - Connecting Singles - I have seen repeatedly already that it does work. In every case I can think of though, including my own, those connected have been a little longer in the tooth. So you may be right.
You're supposed to guess the song above first. It was:
"He'll never love you/The way that I love you/If he did, no no, he wouldn't/Break your heart/He may be thrilling baby/But my love is so doggone willing baby..."
And since everyone, literally everyone, knows this song, I think it's fair enough to expect someone to guess it.
"He'll never love you/The way that I love you/If he did, no no, he wouldn't/Break your heart/He may be thrilling baby/But my love is so doggone willing baby..."
Just looked at your profile and (in my humble opinion) it's improved. HOWEVER!!! I just noticed the header (".....same name" -- I shan't repeat it here). I don't know if that was there before and I didn't notice it, but it MUST go. The first thing scammers on CS want is for you to talk to them off-site, most often by that particular application. Inviting them to contact you that way will net you nothing but grief. Anyone genuine on this site will be perfectly happy to contact you here. Good luck!

The Unknown Soldier. Or maybe Waiting For The Sun.
