There are other features on CS besides the Forums too. I met my sweetie in the Chat. I know of others who initially met through sending flowers. Some members "live" in the Poetry section. There's oodles of ways to find someone on CS if you keep looking.
If the stuff you have to ship is all (or nearly all) musical gear, you might want to look into a specialized company, especially if there's as much of it as a touring band might carry. And don't forget insurance either.
WW, I'd not heard of it being based on anything, but sure it's possible. The brief synopsis I read sounded like 'Romeo & Juliet' in reverse: meddling families conspire to bring young lovers together (instead of driving them apart). Did sound like a fun musical.
M, I did get the tickets. But I was concerned after reading reviews on a site where everyone who gave a good review accused others of bearing some grudge, and everyone who gave a bad review accused others of being shills. Didn't seem like I could trust either, so I asked here. Thanks for the recommendation!
Has anyone seen "The Fantasticks" on or off Broadway? Supposed to be the longest-running musical in the world, now in its 50th year in New York City, currently playing in an "off-Broadway" (smaller) theater that actually is on Broadway. I actually remember seeing sheet music from it back about 1980. Has anyone seen the show? Is it any good?
Had you received CS email that you read before the notice was sent? That's happened to me. 1) CS mail sent 2) I log in, read it 3) CS sends notice. Seems that if mail is sent while you're not logged in, CS registers it but does not send notice till sometime later. My best guess is a 4-hour interval.
Or yes it could be the sender deleted it in the meantime.
Tolerance, brotherhood, love...these are fine qualities, aren't they? Everyone admires them...in principle.
But sometimes it seems they are scarce here.
So what can YOU do to promote these qualities here? Me, I decided: the next post that pisses me off, I just won't reply. Maybe the one after that, but not the next one.
If you believe our Forums could do with more tolerance, more brotherhood, more love....find YOUR way to make a difference.
Hotboy, you launched this thread more than 2 months ago by posing a difficult situation and asking advice. For more than 2 months we've offered advice, but in every instance you have replied that such advice cannot work. So my question now is, what is it you want from us? Not our advice, clearly. Do you want us to just feel sorry for you, and give you a big hug? Do you want us to castigate your wife and/or both families? Are we supposed to tell you to forget about your little girl 'cause you're unhappy? Just tell us what it is you really want, ok?
