Ok. I agree. Except for the part, "the concept of God helps people make sense of their world." No doubt many believers would agree, but I think instead the concept of a god saves people the trouble of facing facts in their world. Just my opinion, of course.
Er, no. First, the "Big Bang" theory of the inception of the universe (as we now know it) has nothing to do with planetary satellites in any given system in any given galaxy. Second, the Moon does indeed rotate, and shows its "unseen" side to viewers on Earth, like you and me. But we can't actually see it because the Sun is out. (The "dark side," by the way, is actually only a "dark third.")
Nay, not individual achievement, it's individual existence we've celebrated here, for two generations of more. We've raised 50 years' worth or more of people who don't believe they should have to make an effort. Any effort. At anything. Bunch of lazy layabouts, we are. Shameful.
Ok, pardon my earlier joking -- I can't help myself, most of the time -- but I can offer a few helpful hints, seriously.
I met my own sweetie here on CS. It didn't take long at all to graduate to other forms of online communication: outside email, various messenger softwares, Facebook, etc. etc. etc. Even without a home phone number (and how would you know it was really at home?), all those levels of communication would be awfully difficult to juggle, if someone were a total fake.
And then there's an actual trade secret, as I joked about before, but I don't wanna give it away in public. It enables you to tell when someone's account is online, whether they are logged onto CS or FB or anything else, or not. Email me & I'll tell you, if you want.
